  1. Well, you can always eat it. Edibles do me well when I want a good night sleep.
  2. Wow!!! This is clearly golf's "steroid era". No hall of fame for Rory or Scottie!!! 😉
  3. We had a +24 turnover differential last year. +8 more than any other team. That might happen once every couple of decades. We were 10th in total offense last year. Good, not great, especially considering a great offensive line and an MVP quarterback. We clearly lacked explosiveness and playmaking at the receiver position, and haven't done much to address it.
  4. I see him moving down the depth chart, but there's no way he doesn't get another year unless he shows up out of shape or with attitude issues. But yes, I can see a world where a kid like Prather overtakes him as early as this year. The way Beane called him out is very concerning. I believe he ultimately goes down as a bust.
  5. Yeah, it's called a Cluster B personality disorder when it occurs in adulthood.
  6. Exactly. Josh just loves to play and win. Like all the greats, he's fiercely competitive regardless of the sport or game, and this has been well documented going back to his high school and college years.
  7. If we are talking on the field play only - I'd feel very comfortable with Flutie, slightly less so with Fitz and Orton, and generally okay with Tyrod or Holcomb as caretaker types. And I'd obviously take the version of Bledsoe we saw during the first 8 games of 2002, but nothing thereafter. Some decent backup options when we look at our former QBs through that lens. If we are considering attitude, leadership and likelihood of being a helpful backup, I'd probably focus in on Fitz and Tyrod.
  8. Shakir Kincaid Palmer Moore Knox Samuel Coleman
  9. Would be almost foolish not to bring him in to compete for a spot at vet minimum if available. Moore is no sure thing and we don't really have a replacement for Mack Hollins. He's not a #2, but he could slot in as a solid #4 type.
  10. He can easily gain 30 pounds between now and the preseason. Just needs to hang out with our new D-Line signees.
  11. This was the exact game that came to mind for me too. Jeff George came in with great fanfare as the #1 draft pick, and there was a thought it could serve as a preview of a future rivalry between the teams if he turned out to be the real deal. Like you said, we harassed him all game and he didn't have much around him talentwise, but he hung in there until Cornelius Bennett rearranged his mental state early in the fourth quarter. I remember how euphoric the stadium was when he got knocked out cold (obviously, a much different time). What a terrible way to start in the league (even worse for his folks in the stands hearing the crowd erupt over the pummeling of your child).
  12. Drought era, but I'd still consider it a "classic" for all the reasons you state. I was there as well and it was my California girl wife's first Bills game. She wasn't a football fan, but LOVED it, and asked "Is it like this every week?"
  13. I can't see how he wouldn't be excited by the Browns. I mean, he has 5 quarterbacks throwing him the ball in Cleveland. That's like a 1:1 QB-to-WR ratio. He could see 300 targets!
  14. I didn't realize how good he's been the past two seasons. For whatever reason I thought he was still sort of mired in that cycle of injuries. Seems like a reasonable deal given his production and talent.
  15. I remember many wringing their hands over passing on Skyy Moore a few years ago and he turned out to be a wasted 2nd round pick for the Chiefs. All those resources spent at WR and the Chiefs fielded the 17th ranked offense (yes, I know Rice was hurt). Also, Royals runs a 4.42. He's not Tyreek 2.0.
  16. Watched the tape expecting to be underwhelmed, but liked what I saw. Quick. Good route runner. Kind of a Diggs-lite vibe?
  17. Finally listened to it. Thought it was refreshing. Felt Jeremy held his ground well while also remaining cordial and giving Beane time to cool off and get the discussion headed back in a more gentlemanly fashion. Don't mind the fire from Beane either. It's a tough job and he's a human being who is going to show his frustration at times.
  18. Just watched about 45 minutes of his highlights. He looks solid - certainly far better than Justin Shorter did when I watched his highlights after the draft (an all-time head scratcher pick for me). Given the WR room, he looks like he'll have a chance to stick.
  19. Tampa and Philly won their recent championships by beating the piss out of Mahomes with defense.
  20. Gotta say, I really like this draft. No shiny toys, but we likely turned both the D line and DB rooms from positions of need/weakness, to positions of strength. And I'm guessing they view Hancock as a safety.
  21. But think of how many more we'd score with a 5th round WR here.
  22. Really like what we are doing on defense in this draft. Big upgrades in athleticism.
  23. Very sad. What a bittersweet day for the guy.
  24. Totally misleading thread title (and thread). Here's the exact quote from Williams himself: “Yeah, it’s kind of the same conversations I was having with the Lions," said Williams, when asked by Lions about his pre-draft meeting with the AFC East squad. "They kind of told me if I was there, they wanted me. I had talks with the head coach, d-line coach. They said they loved my game and how I played. It definitely was a possibility."
