  1. “I think the lesson we can draw in general from 1918 about how to respond to a pandemic is that closure orders and social distancing is effective.” This is the quote from the article that resonated with me. Here’s a tip for those offering their two cents: listen to scientists and scientists alone. Most else is political garbage. I LOVE politics but the extremes (MSNBC and FOX) are simply propaganda. There is a vast amount of reasonable news out there, you simply have to think critically. It seems to be a lost art these days. Back to football: I hope and pray we have a season in some way, shape or form. It will benefit the psyche of our country...and allow Buffalo to have our first SB victory!!!!!! ?
  2. Thank you! Knowing what a crap shoot the draft can be it seems as though it’s a calculated gamble...with a lot on the line. A couple bad drafts and it’s all shot, no? Or am I overthinking this based on the Bills anemic drafting before the current regime?
  3. I haven’t read the entire thread but wonder how a team can pay almost one hundred million dollars to three players and still form a dynasty? It’s seems as though that saddles them rather drastically.
  4. I love Murph. He has managed Tasker as well as possible (and that’s a tall order...and I give Tasker a significant amount of leeway for his contributions back in the day). The guy knows Bills history unbelievably well and can draw on it at will. Glabb and Chris will not hold a candle, in my opinion.
  5. I agree that’s what most people want: Hard Knocks always go to lousy teams so that makes sense. ? I’m not opposed to watching dysfunction as there is something to learn from how any leader reacts to that, too. For me, however, I watch the show to see how people at the apex of their ‘business’ go about their day to day work and, to be honest, I’d rather watch a proven commodity. It’s that simple. The fact that it’s centered on football is a bonus. I appreciate your thoughts, thanks.
  6. This is interesting. What I like about the Bills is the depth across the board. While there are really no ‘stars’ yet, Beane has built a solid team that can weather the storm. I’ll take the Instagram author’s team with our RB’s and DB’s being the only change. I’m really stoked about Singletary and Moss...even though I hated the picks at the time due to my general opinion that RB’s should be picked later.
  7. It really bothers me to see him in that shirt. Just saying. The passion? Love it. ?
  8. Oooh! Oooh! Pick me!!!! The punter from 1990? ?
  9. I agree with Alpha: I enjoy watching how the other coaches coach and how the management deals with their personnel: it’s intriguing. From last year, Gruden and his ‘Chucky’ persona is the antithesis to McD. That’s interesting to me. I’m not looking for dysfunction, I’m looking for how they do what they do.
  10. I agree and my oldest son said the same. I suspect it was a result of the pandemic: just can’t have a camera team around when and where you want to build a more comprehensive piece.
  11. I guess you’re discarding everything else I said...which is fine if that’s where you want to start from. Josh was very good against, what we shall call, ‘standard defenses’. Against the better defensive minds, he was well below average. Should he be able to learn to read the more complex defenses, then he should take a massive leap forward this year. I, for one, believe he can. The only success he has was against teams with losing records? I believe you should look again. Of course none of this takes into account the simple eye test recognizing where he came from and the massive leaps since he came here. If you have a burning need to say he sucks, then so be it. Let’s just agree to disagree.
  12. Break out year, here we come! Happy birthday, Josh!!!!
  13. Again, they said that was the original thought (as you stated) but then transitioned to a more concerted effort to open. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  14. Thankfully, Cuomo is fixing that for the ONE NY team! ?
  15. There is sufficient testing available in NY now so I would expect they will all be tested regularly.
  16. If I recall correctly, this was discussed on WGR last week. That was the original intent but now they are shifting the model to say teams that are still in a closed state/region can travel elsewhere. I get it but I don’t like it...but this is an awfully confusing and complex time.
  17. That was my point: whoever I responded to said hauling a trailer makes you swerve some...I agree! All the more reason to NOT have a beer in between you legs! ?
  18. That’s all understood, but did you have an open beer and a firearm with you? I’m happy to wait for the facts to come out but we are all just spitballing based on our own experiences. Let the kid have his day in court.
  19. The lawsuit portion is something different but think about what you would do it you were supposed to make $8m to $15m in the next few years and you got this as you were voted to do so per the NFLPA. If that money is now gone as your lungs are damaged what would you do? Has anyone looked at insurance for this? Does it exist? I would assume not as insurance companies don’t insure what they can’t measure. Like I initially stated, however, the positive is that the league is looking to open. They and their attorneys can figure out the details. ?
  20. I don’t know about the military portion but the lung damage portion has absolutely been reported. That’s a very valid point...glad you brought it up. It will be interesting to see if the NFLPA reacts to all of this. And then, if players get it and can’t play anymore, how will the NFL allow those teams to compensate for the loss of players...and how will it impact the cap?
  21. First, it does look like a Roomba. Second, I realized when I was at the Braves stadium forever ago, that I want the sport I’m there to see, not the superfluous crap that are considered ‘experiences’. The game is an experience!!!! So is the tailgating! ? I hope the Bills put a ton of money into updating the Ralph (particularly the bathroom situation). Anyway, as for the Vegas joint, I suspect it’s phenomenal but it’s not my thing: I’m there for football.
  22. I’m not sure about the first part but I agree about the need of a preseason. Thankfully, Josh has been connecting with other skill position players. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
  23. This was not intended to be a political thread. It’s about the NFL having a plan to open. Thanks.
  24. I agree Tiger. As I posted in another thread, if you look where his sub 60% games were last year, it was against the coaches are best at disguising what they’re doing. Once he crosses that hurdle, sky is the limit!
