  1. I’m struggling to see how this is relevant: the point is a person of authority in the public sphere should recognize what is divisive and what is not. Surely so many here are not so obtuse to recognize this simple fact.
  2. This is really shortsighted. News stations aren’t ‘opinion’. That is a segment on news. News is a fact that is being shared and opinion is just what it says. OAN, while you may appreciate it, is basically only opinion...an opinion that is not generally shared by the masses. Doesn’t make it wrong necessarily, but does make it dangerous for those in the public sphere as it is opinion based. As for the rest: disagreement is only ‘good’ if you have parties that are open and willing to listen and learn...and walk away when it gets too hot so they can come back later and be reasonable. Many are incapable of this today...like many here in this thread. My opinion.
  3. He sure is and he does a bunch for the communities he’s a part of. Oh, he’s also a good left tackle. ? I love the kid.
  4. Maddy is certainly young and still trying to find herself...she’s only a few years removed from college. I agree it’s difficult listening to her trying to become comfortable, but I can say this for her: she does her homework. Very few people start out as ‘professionals’. Most of us have to hone our craft and I suspect it’s no different with her.
  5. Have they been heard at all? That’s why this response. Once we listen and stop the oppression, this all stops. They just want to be heard and for others to see their reality. You’re saying they need to understand about doing no harm that upsets some people and they are saying they are being killed...because they are. Which is more worrisome? I respect it. Do take good care and let’s talk football!
  6. I’m not going to argue but perhaps read the First Amendment and the many US Supreme Court cases about it and the flag. Look, I gave a lot for this nation and wouldn’t do these things but I respect the rights of others to do so. That is what it’s all about.
  7. Perhaps you should read AND comprehend the US Constitution. Just a thought.
  8. Apologies! Just read the thread!!! ? I’m on board.
  9. Absolutely agree with the latter but it’s a little more grey to me for the others. As I’ve said prior, I absolutely respect your thoughts...just trying to understand it all. Most local communities know their teams players (NFL) so I struggle with the former.
  10. Doubt that’s the issue...more team size. Players are introduced now (and personified) in the NFL so this doesn’t seem reasonable to me...but who am I? Could be wrong.
  11. This entire narrative needs work, in my opinion. You CAN be pro BLM (Kaepernick) AND pro police. We do not need to segregate into a ‘this or that’ proposition...both can exist together. I gave a tremendous amount for this country...NOT the anthem. What Kaepernick did was SPECIFICALLY what I fought for: our rights under the Constitution! I have always respected what he did and only wish those of us who see the world as black/white or ones/twos could calm themselves and see a larger picture. ?
  12. With what you stated, I was not trying to diminish the personal side of what has taken place, merely commenting on what I am: a GM/business manager. This all was so left field and, unfortunately, no one planned for this. So happy you’re back on your way and happy that this appears to be subsiding! For anyone in the ROC, I’m happy to discuss ‘filler work’ during this for themselves (all hard work - read, ‘labor’) I’m happy to discuss: please PM me.
  13. It’s a shame as it’s a great outlet. With that being said, I’m surprised it has taken them so long to do this...it probably should have been done a couple months ago.
  14. As small as cameras have become, it seems perfectly reasonable that they could make an in-game experience in VR. While I wouldn’t wear those God forsaken things, I can see the benefit. Interesting.
  15. Yeah, I’m not buying that ? He is MUCH heavier than that. All good, just don’t see it...yet.
  16. I’m not a Lee a Smith cheerleader, just don’t see them as in the same category. Very big difference, physically, between the two.
  17. Not sure if he has the weight and strength at this point. Definitely a score in the seventh round, but still needs some seasoning to replace Lee, no?
  18. It has them but they self destruct when you do something illegal...like underinflating the tires. ?
  19. Videos, darnit!!!!! Do those men have no humanity????? For Pete’s sake!!!! ? By the way, who is Pete and why care so deeply for him if we don’t even know him?
  20. Reggie McKenzie at a signing...I don’t recall where, only that he was the largest human being I’d ever seen. He was active at the time and completely cordial...thus the antithesis of what I expected a football player to be when I was a kid. ? I suspect this was ‘77 or so but I could very well be incorrect...may have been later. Edit: I’m 50 so barely squeeze into the equation here.
  21. “So understandDon't waste your time always searching for those wasted yearsFace up, make your standAnd realize you're living in the golden years!” Adrian Smith, Iron Maiden “If you think I'll sit around as the world goes byYou're thinkin' like a fool 'cause it's a case of do or dieOut there is a fortune waiting to be hadIf you think I'll let you go you're madYou've got another thing comin'” Judas Priest
  22. I did. And stop calling me Shirley. ? A Buffalo? What is it? It’s the greatest NFL franchise but that’s not important right now.
