Athletic $1/Month For 3 Months, Cancel Anytime
TroutDog replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I pay full boat for The Athletic (about $50 per year) and it is a steal. All pro sports, written about local journalists who actually know the teams and leagues they follow. I hope anyone who is partaking in their special is open to buying for the long term: it’s worth supporting! Just my opinion. -
Bills release their social justice message
TroutDog replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love what they produced, personally. A friend of mine, who is black, way back in middle school (he was on the urban-suburban program) told me to watch a store manager watch him when we entered the CVS. Me, of course, being white, said, “You’re crazy!” It happened. The manager followed him like white on rice AND called a police officer in. That’s when I was introduced to institutional racism...although I didn’t call it that then. My stories go on and on but I know this: if your mind is what is generally considered the ‘extreme’ end (either right or left), chances are you’re wrong. If one follows the most fundamental of teachings, in my opinion, one should recognize that hatred for the sake of hatred has no place in this world. Love, compassion and empathy does. I’m not one to write long diatribes here, but this is important to every American. If all of us open our hearts and minds, we will ALL be better off. -
Excellent article on Allen taking the next step.

Brad Childress discusses McNabb and his progression and how Josh is on a great trajectory. McNabb didn’t get over 60% completion percentage until year six. Also said a franchise QB can carry the team on his back. -
You will be arrested if you go to the Bills Stadium on Sunday

I hate to be ‘that guy’, but I need to ask, “Are you on crack?” 😃 -
I wonder if the opt-outs are having second thoughts
TroutDog replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane, in an interview, said results are back very quickly. I would expect this to be the same with all teams. As far as players second guessing themselves, why would they? They were/are aware of the dangers of Covid and didn’t want to catch it themselves or give it to their families. I completely get it and would have done the same if I was in their shoes. For most, the money will be there next season. -
Ref's for the Bills game are... (update - Week 17)
TroutDog replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting. They’ll all have to be from non-blocked states which, I assume, limits who they can choose. -
Beautiful! Cancer blows...left my oncologists office this morning and things aren’t rosy. Fortunately, I don’t give a damn anymore: I’m living healthy, smiling every day and making sure those around me doing the same. Your gift to your friend is nothing short of fantastic and you should say it with zeal!!! So glad you two were close and will continue to be. Prayers (or thoughts, whichever you prefer) to you and his family.

I switched my diet to vegan and it’s been FANTASTIC! Still eat great foods but feel better and, after leaving my oncologist today, it’s doing great on that front, too. Also BP is lower and feel much better. I’ve even figured out how to make a vegan pizza that is stellar! Alas, I will miss wings...but I’ll keep this up for a few months and then have some prior to our SB run!!! 😃

I’ve lost 12 pounds in two weeks so there will be less of me to go around! 😃

What do you expect out of our offense game 1?
TroutDog replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. They got the new toys for Josh for a reason...they will use them. -
Yup. Wasn’t trying to say it’s a problem, just surprised me seeing them back to back to back in that limited video (they were cut so quickly it was hard for me to discern all that took place).
-
First, thanks for sharing! I’ve watched about half and a couple things jump out: 1. My lord! When he hits the afterburners, he is GONE! 2. Quite a few drops...which surprised me 3. Catches in the clutch: fantastic! 4. Solid in contested catches 5. YAC!!!

Loved watching Bruce sitting with him watching plays from both. The beauty was you see how two incredible athletes notice the positive attributes of the other. For me, as a fan, I was able to see two generational talents and what they bring to all of us as fans. Fantastic. Hope he gets well very soon.

Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
TroutDog replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does take two to tango. The players and agents know this also. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you completely but both parties need to be on board (generally speaking). -

Why are the Bills sticking with such a poor punter?
TroutDog replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s not, actually. A punter can kick it 75 yards with no hang time. It’s about getting both: distance and hang time. -

DeAndre Hopkins contract extension
TroutDog replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall in an interview with Beane that next year will be when they look at it. Given the decline in the cap, however, they have a fair argument to push it out further. -
First time ever 100% vegan. It’ll be interesting...and the last time I visit the food threads!!!! 😃

Tre is such a gift to all of us, WNY, his family and his hometown. Beautiful.

So how’d we all do with our roster predictions?
TroutDog replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I wasn’t clear enough...apologies. I absolutely view them as a pro team who can add borderline talent to their PS but there appears to be many here who didn’t want to miss out on what he brings. I attribute that, largely, to his story, his size and what we’ve all been through the last 17 years...as his skills are borderline. Please don’t get me wrong: I’ve rooted for him as hard as anyone but also recognize that he is what he is. Call me out on my BS anytime! 😃 -
‘20 Bills. What we know/don’t know.
TroutDog replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree...I’ve always loathed them, particularly games 2 & 4...but I would have love to see some of the newer guys actually playing football against another team. -

They can either send a group ahead to sanitize or hire someone locally...I’m hoping (and trusting) they’re prepared for all of these contingencies. I should have added to my original post my excitement for Diggs and to see how Knox has improved. Also the new fourth rounder (forgot his name). On the D side, I’d love to say I’m stoked to see Epenesa but it sounds like he needs some more seasoning.
