  1. This is an excellent interview and has our new receivers coach Chad Hall looking like a visionary of sorts for how he understands slot receivers need to be coached differently. I'm excited that Beasley is all in Josh's ear, constantly, so that those two can be on the same page. I understand all coaches and players act as though their new environment is going to be the best thing since sliced bread, but Beasley has an edge and is looking to stick it to Dallas and everyone else. I like players with a big chip on their shoulder and we've got a number of them (including our QB).
  2. I want McD to improve on gameday as well but I think you'll find that in general, a coach's likelihood to take more chances on offense is directly related to his confidence in the offense. Did you have confidence in the offense last year? If you answer that question in any way other than "hell, no" you're not being honest. I don't really believe McD is a "conservative" guy who wants to win defensive struggles. We'll get a chance to find out now that the offense is in its second year under the same system and Josh has had a full year of growth.
  3. I was just about to say, you couldn't pay me to travel to the DR these days.
  4. Easley and Sills (and to some extent, Duke) are this year's versions of the guys "everyone is rooting for." The truth remains that all face extremely long odds to make the 53. I suppose the hope is that one or more show enough to be kept on the PS. I had high hopes for Austin Proehl last year and he wasn't very good (although he is currently on the Rams' PS).
  5. That, plus I believe he is really Satan and drinks the blood of infants.
  6. Nothing prepares you for the NFL like playing WR at the Citadel.
  7. The only games I'll watch are the US women...I just can't stay interested in women's soccer and basketball because the level of athleticism/speed is so far below the men's game. I don't think that makes me a misogynist -- I just enjoy the men's game more and if I have limited time to watch sporting events I'll choose just about anything over a women's team game. One notable exception is women's volleyball -- both indoor and beach. Love watching both of these during the Olympics.
  8. That is correct. Media allowed to be there every day; probably limited as to what they can video. The Twitter Machine should be running in full force Tues-Thurs.
  9. Bill is a good dude. He loves the debate and discussion over what the Bills do and have done. He's not telling you not to post, he's reacting to one poster "dressing down" another poster for his opinions. He doesn't like it when I come down on the negative posters as well. It's all good. We can't all think the same way or it would be a dull board.
  10. Outside of pulling for the Bills, keeping the Pats*** out of the Super Bowl this season is my most significant rooting interest. I don't care that we lost all four...I want that streak to remain ours alone.
  11. No schitt. This really provides great insight.
  12. Coincidentally, I found an online photo of our beloved ScottLaw as well:
  13. Saint Doug borrowed that one and hasn't returned it yet.
  14. The "keys to the game" were cringe-worthy.
  15. Now this is cool. The Cap will now support pylon cameras! That's an important addition for our upcoming home playoff games.
  16. I have said pretty consistently that this is the year for the Bills to show significant progress, and then in 2020 they begin league domination. I'm only half-kidding -- it pretty much depends upon them being right with Allen -- but I like the way Beane approaches roster building and I like the way McD gets his players to buy in. I really need to see some gameday "stuff" this year that shows me McD and his staff "get it."
  17. Very odd. Got to be more to this story. They were a playoff team and the guy has only been there for less than a year and a half.
  18. I think people will have a pretty good idea of what Allen is (or is not) before Thanksgiving. Just sayin'...
  19. I think the more accurate statement, at this point, is to say that predicting the Pats*** will NOT win the AFC East is not smart business. This Bills team is really an unknown and should not be held to the same (low) standard of their predecessors. So much relies upon Allen's progression from Y1 to Y2 and how well Beane has addressed the OL and receiving corps.
  20. I'd have thought more along the lines of Cheektovegas.
  21. He's a f***king neanderthal, what do people expect? He was a great NFL player and will go to the HOF but he's also a complete moron and buffoon. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
  22. I am rooting for ROR and St. Louis. In retrospect he said what needed to be said, and the culture in the Buffalo "room" was clearly awful. The "negative" on ROR is that he just wasn't the sort of person who could take charge and change things. Not everyone can. Oh, and he drunk drove into a Tim Horton's. That wasn't cool.
  23. Fair points. I give them a pass on Glenn because that was a good trade and provided some of the draft capital used to acquire Allen and Edmunds.
