  1. @DCOrange thank you for at least putting something factual behind your analysis. But historical trends don’t necessarily predict the future when we are dealing with different individuals in different situations. I analyze Josh Allen based upon what I’ve seen, not what other QBs who are nothing like him have done.
  2. Seriously? The first wave hasn’t ended yet because your beloved leader insists upon protecting these so-called “freedoms” of which you speak. There’s no hoax and no conspiracy. Just a dude in the Oval Office doing the shittiest job ever to lead and protect his citizens.
  3. Sorry, the only reason COVID has become a political issue is because the President has completely dropped the ball. The U.S. is a laughing stock to the rest of the world. The stock market hasn’t collapsed because everyone knows this will eventually resolve, but there is absolutely no doubt that the current President is the reason it will last longer than it needed to.
  4. Here’s where I continue to question your credibility. You consistently ignore the progress Allen made from Y1 to Y2 and continue to hang your hat on his college statistics as a reason why he won’t succeed. I’ve asked you numerous times to tell us, specifically, what about Allen’s progress thus far in the NFL, along with his obvious intangibles like leadership, tells you he has plateaued and will not continue to improve? You can’t answer that simple question because you can’t get yourself past your post-draft bust prediction. Riskiest top-10 QB draft pick ever? Come on, that’s laughable. I don’t know how Allen will perform this year but I can see an upward trajectory when it’s right in front of my face.
  5. I’ll have what @Victory Formation is having.
  6. You’re naive. Chad has/had talent, yes, and that’s why he got a scholarship to Clemson (which he subsequently effed up because he’s a moron). Then, yes, he had a decent career at Ole Miss but didn’t even get drafted until Jim’s buddy took him at the end of the 7th round. Then, after failing to impress in Denver, Jim’s other buddy signed him in Indy. This jackass of a kid is ONLY in the NFL because of Jim’s relationships. Period.
  7. So you expect owners to pay the salaries of 25 more guys while they’re losing most if not all fan revenue? Not happening, young grasshopper.
  8. I think those are reasonable expectations. If he plays all 16 games then averaging 200 yds/gm is 3200 yards, while 300 yds/gm is 4800 yards. I think he’ll actually be closer to 4000 (250 per) and I think total TDs will be 32+ (i.e., 2+ per game).
  9. Umm, you’re wrong. If you want to get away from the real world go to Disneyland. The NFL will be just fine.
  10. So at what point does it become an unfair advantage if some states allow fans at stadiums while others do not?
  11. Sorry, brother, it doesn’t work that way. If you don’t want to allow professional athletes to also be people and support their causes — in a way that doesn’t impact the game you’re watching AT ALL — you are free to change the channel.
  12. Meh, you’re trying too hard. It’s a classic, it makes sense, and everybody knows what it means.
  13. Nope. It’s a continuation play. If the player isn’t deemed to be in the process of shooting when the foul is committed then the basket doesn’t count. So the saying makes perfect sense. I’ll add one, but probably belongs in a nickname thread. Berman had a bunch but my favorite was always Bert “Be Home” Blyleven.
  14. Yup. I really think it’s a matter of folks continuing to hang onto pre-draft evaluations and looking only at QB statistics like completion % and QBR. It’s a shame because everything you said is true. I’ve said numerous times that nothing about how Josh has progressed suggests he has plateaued or will not continue to improve. Nothing.
  15. The players simply want and need to feel safe. The opt out should be available but not once the season begins. I was hearing the NFL wanted August 1 but I’d give the players until a week before the regular season starts.
  16. This is a farcical statement. Of course the NFL has been planning; do you have no concept of the sheer enormity of what they have to deal with? The players’ concerns are legitimate and this will be worked out.
  17. It’s kind of weird...I mean, the Bills are also named after a specific person but it’s not like there are teams naming themselves the Lincolns or the Kennedys.
  18. Apparently the Blackhawks have worked with Native Americans and engaged in an educational effort to show that their nickname isn’t a characterization of a race or culture, it’s honoring a specific individual — Chief Black Hawk — who was an Illinois historic figure.
  19. This is neither rocket surgery nor brain science. He wants to make plays. He is learning that when a defensive player is not right on him he needs to secure the ball first and then look to run people over. As the game slows down for him there’s no reason to expect he won’t get this under control.
  20. Nah, you’re overthinking it. The kid was trying to make plays as an overly eager rookie. Now he’s had an offseason to reflect and focus on what is most important (i.e., securing the ball). I’m glad he’s confident and not “worried” about his ability to catch, because as I said earlier, he made some very difficult catches look easy.
  21. How about hoping that we have our own Rodgers developing in Josh Allen? Seems like a better use of your time.
  22. This thread has got me betwitched and between.
  23. The key to me is awareness. It sounds like he is committed to making sure every ball is secured before he looks to make any more plays like the one against Cincinnati. I don’t think he has a hands problem. I mean, look at a couple of the long balls he caught (against NE*** and Baltimore) when he was concentrating. They were stupendous.
