What would/should a Milano extension look like?
eball replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like Milano is not a guy who will push for a top end deal. Just my gut. I think he understands what players and positions need to "get paid" and will give the Bills a discount. The Bills aren't going to extend Tre now because it's not in Tre's best interests to do that and you need two to tango. The only reason for Tre to extend now is if he fears injury, but I don't see that happening. My instincts tell me Beane is feeling out Milano and his agent for just what they're pushing for; if it's in the 14M range they will likely let it play out; if he's in the 12-13M range perhaps a deal gets done. I don't think Milano is successful just because of the scheme, though -- the guy is talented and would shine in any defense. -
No, really? Get out of here.

Gunner's roster thread.... 2020 style - UPDATED
eball replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based upon Farwell’s comments yesterday I think Taiwan Jones and Siran Neal can go to black, and DiMarco moves to red. -
Have to admit I chuckled out loud. Any Cheers fans here? Sam Malone used to use Lance Manion on the road...

Horrible Harry...the forgotten man?

I think it’s actually the opposite, if you’re talking about the same knee. I’m not a doctor — nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night — but I think the difficulty guys have coming back is just regaining their strength...the ligament itself is stronger than before. You often hear of guys then injuring the other knee. I just hope Harry is in good shape and can contribute. He was playing really well and would, I think, have started to eat into Star’s playing time had he not gotten hurt. -
I dunno, man...you order from them and you’re likely to get this: This is accomplished by not wearing a jersey if you are older than 15 to begin with...

Lack of legit backup QB may be Bills' 2020 Achilles heel

This is not a problem. Josh is invincible. -

I don’t think there is a single factually accurate thing about this post. Amazing. -

Nobody is talking about him because he hasn’t been in pads since suffering the injury, and you just can’t predict how well or quickly he will get back to form. Nobody has “forgotten” him, that’s for sure. -

He fits the defense perfectly, is a playmaker, wants to be here, and doesn’t give the impression he wants to break the bank. This is exactly the type of player you extend for market value, hoping for perhaps a small hometown discount. -

What, can’t answer the question? -

Who has Beane signed to "max deals?" And while you're at it, please explain what that even means. -
So, this Farwell character apparently enjoys dishing out the praise, eh?

This is an appropriate last stop for Hogan as he completes his HOF career...

Yup. As difficult as it is to find a franchise QB, you can’t overlook the change in culture (McD) and reshaping of the roster (Beane) and put all of the eggs in the Josh Allen basket. I think the Pegulas understand that. Hopefully it will all be a moot point.

Josh Allen’s offense vs Sam Darnold’s offense
eball replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not picking on you specifically, but in my opinion “worrying” about when other teams might become good is a waste of time. As Bills fans we have suffered for a very long time, but we need to start realizing that things have changed. With the leadership now in place the Bills are poised to become one of those four or five teams you look at as being “in the mix” each and every season. Who cares what the other teams do? And by the way, I loved the Bills-Fish rivalry of the 80s and 90s. If that returns, so be it. -
I’m really sorry you can’t understand a basic argument. Daboll has been here two years and he started with a raw rookie QB. His offense improved from year one to year two. What logic suggests that firing him makes sense?

I see a ton of 11 from Daboll in this one, forcing them into nickel and taking major advantage of their DBs and LBs. -
I really don’t know who you’re arguing with. I’ve said pretty consistently I expect the offense to improve this season.

Why in the world would I expect the same results this year?
