  1. This is the paragraph I take issue with: For quarterbacks, the stats that tend to be stable over time include passing efficiency from a clean pocket, passing efficiency with no play-action, completion percentage over expected and the share of throws that are off target or negatively graded. Each of these aspects of a QB’s performance is indicative of their true skill and is less affected by circumstances and luck. Stats that aren’t predictive of future performance — and that tend to be highly affected by circumstances and luck — include passing under pressure, passing outside the pocket and passing efficiency with play-action. In what world does a QB get to operate without pressure or stay purely in the pocket? And play-action is specifically designed to make a QB more successful. The author says that because Josh is performing well in these "non-predictive" areas we shouldn't count on his improvement to continue? That makes no sense to me.
  2. Since you posted it here, I know the name now. So thanks.
  3. This is a very good test for the Bills’ D which is hopefully getting at least one of Milano/Edmunds back. Also, we see if Daboll can continue his excellent game planning and keep the offense on pace. How will Josh come out in his first game following a breakout passing performance? The Bills certainly don’t overlook teams, and I think the Rams’ win against Philly exposed a bad Eagles’ squad rather than pronouncing LA as a heavyweight. The talent level across the board favors Buffalo and even without fans, it’s their home environment. Prediction: the offense keeps humming and the D bounces back in a big way. Bills 34 Ewes 13
  4. Gene, I suggest a healthy dose of perspective here. Injury reports have been and always will be a form of gamesmanship in professional sports. The margins are so slim in the NFL; it’s true that any advantage gained could make the difference between winning and losing. As fans we want to know every detail but we have no basis for demanding it. Also, the NFL has in recent years been much more strict on insisting that teams put players on the injury report when they don’t participate fully in practice. The way McD and the Bills handle the injury report has absolutely nothing to do with “arrogance.”
  5. So does this mean his name is removed from the 2020 Whipping Boy list? I’m trying to keep up with everything.
  6. Oh, he sounds like an incredibly good dude. I’m talking about the mental sharpness...
  7. I don’t know why you’re complaining. After all, Bruce Gradkowski reviews all of the QB ratings. 🤦🏻‍♂️ If you’ve ever heard Bruce Gradkowski on the radio you know why this not a compliment.
  8. Seriously. Methinks FO doth protest too much.
  9. I like it but I’d tweak: Charges Dropped, Kraft Enjoys Full Release
  10. Wasn’t Milano’s deal a leg injury? Gotta think that him being out there both yesterday and today bodes well for Sunday.
  11. PFF downgraded the pass to a -2 because Josh didn’t throw from a good base. Shows footwork hasn’t improved.
  12. This is pretty typical for someone of your intelligence level. At least you didn’t physically threaten me this time, so maybe there’s hope.
  13. Kraft Case Slips Through The Prosecution’s Fingers Without Video, Prosecution Left Empty Handed
  14. Yup. When he is moving to his left he doesn't square his shoulders, resulting in these misfires. You'd have to think it's something they are aware of and another coaching emphasis point.
  15. Gotta get the papers, get the papers.
  16. Just added him as a follow on Twitter.
  17. Ha, look at you moving the goalposts as you see Josh Allen have success. So funny and so predictable. Now it's "easy" to be an NFL QB. No, what's happening is that there a lot of athletic, talented QBs coming into the league and coordinators are finding ways to use their strengths rather than insisting upon the old "prototype" of what an NFL QB is supposed to be.
  18. Yet another reason why I stay away from any casual fan's "analysis" of OL play -- and even some experts. That said, I do give your opinions more consideration than most.
  19. Yeah, this is pretty much exactly how I felt Bobby Woods would feel about this game. There's no ill will.
  20. And if not special teams, then by either the offense or defense.
  21. Under McD the Bills seem to take a very cautious approach early on with injuries, and I can’t say that the results have been poor.
  22. You’re spending way too much time on this. I disagree with you. The Bills are not an “iffy” team in the minds of true NFL experts — the only question mark coming into the season was Josh Allen’s progression, and he has answered the bell in nearly everyone’s mind. Sitting around waiting for a house of cards to collapse isn’t my bag. I know a good thing when I see it and I’m not going to let 2000-2016 memories keep me from being confident about this team and organization.
  23. Yep, and even though JT is critiquing Allen you can hear the genuine awe in his voice when he talks about the dimes Josh was dishing.
