  1. I can see this entering into McD's mind, even subconsciously, but I'll disagree with you on one thing -- he absolutely knows who the Rams' players are.
  2. I watched the whole thing. Appreciate the analysis and yes, it looks like Josh was deciding between multiple open receivers frequently. I think JT is a bit nitpicky but I'm sure Josh and Daboll watched this tape and said similar things. The biggest takeaway for me, though, is the accuracy and touch on the throws.
  3. I don't know about "extra motivated" -- it's not like the Bills cut him. He'll probably be a bit melancholy about it, and miss that there are no fans because he knows what a great atmosphere it is. I doubt he holds any ill will or thinks he needs to "get back at" the Bills.
  4. I strongly disagree. Go back and read every preseason prognostication for the Bills. The only question mark raised is Josh Allen. Phrases like "the Bills will only go as far as Josh Allen takes them" abound. The casual fan knows Buffalo went to the playoffs last year and "should" have beaten Houston. I don't pay attention to BBFS-stricken Bills fans because that's just a mentality that needs to go away. When your QB comes out and puts up historic numbers against any NFL defense for two weeks it's enough to definitively say "he hasn't reached his peak." If you can't see that, I'm sorry.
  5. They don't exist.
  6. Meh. No "expert" out there is skeptical of the Bills as a franchise that has reached the upper echelon of the NFL. The only question mark heading into this season was whether Josh would continue to show progression or if he had already reached his pinnacle. That question has been answered.
  7. Interesting take. I think McD is from the Dean Smith school of press conferences. Do nothing but praise your opponent and talk about how much of a challenge this week is going to be for your team. If there is one thing McD is not, it's unprepared. He's not about to give anyone one lick of material to use against him or his team, and he couldn't care less what you think of his press conferences.
  8. Jesus H. Christ on a popsicle stick. What a fiasco.
  9. If people are still “skeptical” about a franchise that has been to the playoffs 2/3 years and has started this season 2-0 they’ve got nobody but themselves to blame for their pig-headedness.
  10. I’m finding it extremely difficult to prevent myself from getting “giddy” over what is going on in Orchard Park. So let’s say Josh really has turned the corner and can now “pick apart” zone defenses or beat man coverage. The other extremely rare aspect of his game is that he seems to always make the first rusher miss. This combination of Mahomes-like arm talent and Jackson-like escapability/threat as a runner could legitimately turn Josh into the most dynamic and difficult to defend weapon at the QB position in the league. We’ll need to see it for more than two games, obviously, but wow.
  11. I always believe that the winner in any trade is the team who got the best overall player. I suppose it’s unfair to judge Jefferson so soon, but this one looks like a winner for Beane all the way.
  12. By the way, you left out the AP Pro 32 rankings...Bills are #5 (up from #7) and the Rams are #7 (up from #9).
  13. I think I saw in another thread that they are primarily a zone team. That’s antithetical to the “attack their weakness” mantra Daboll aspires to. Nobody — I repeat nobody — in the Bills’ locker room gives a rat’s ass about what Ramsey said about Josh coming out of the draft, and besides, Josh already beat Ramsey and Jacksonville in his rookie year. Daboll will scheme to attack what the Rams don’t do well.
  14. Amazing player. RIP.
  15. I’ll say what I always say...these rankings don’t get me riled up, ever. But looking at all of them together they do beg the question of what exactly are the USA Today and One11Sports “rankers” watching?
  16. For better or worse, garbage time drives count in those statistics as well. Probably doesn’t make a huge difference but it could be worth a couple of tenths of a yard...
  17. Actually, guys, the math says the estimated change in win probability in this situation (down 9) is roughly the same whether you go for one or two, so it really is a matter of psychology and determining whether you want to risk it still being a two-score game at that point in time. in such a situation it’s a gut feel for the coach, and to me the smart move is to kick the point so you know it’s a one-score game.
  18. Really nice write up, and so glad to see someone finally acknowledge the biased analysis Josh receives as opposed to other QBs. That is what has been so frustrating, even as Josh played inconsistently over his first two seasons. Confirmation bias is real, and I’m glad it is being exposed. A number of posters on this forum would show signs of maturity and growth by recognizing it as well.
  19. No contract extension discussions will take place until after the 2020 season at the earliest, IMO. More importantly, I fully believe Josh is the type of player who will not insist upon a “highest paid” deal and will do what is necessary to allow the Bills to continue to keep a good team around him, similar to how Mahomes took less than he could have. We are so freaking lucky to have gotten the type of player and human being Josh is. Team first all the way.
  20. So do you really believe those 15 points “mattered?” Or are you just spewing nonsense?
  21. It’s really fun, and a bit surreal, to open up a column on the LA Rams website previewing this week’s game and read this: The Rams' secondary will have to be sharp against the NFL's leading passer
  22. Absolutely, he’s the clubhouse leader in our 2021 Whipping Boy Pool.
  23. Wow, 49% of snaps in that heat? That speaks very well to Harry’s fitness and rehab. Hope as he is getting back in the swing of things we start to see some more “splash” plays.
