Preseason or regular season?

Good thread. Most people grade a draft after one season.

The only one of these three we’ve actually seen in regular season football games with Josh Allen is Samuel, so I don’t know how you can even begin to make such a statement. Amari Cooper is still a free agent. That should tell you everything. I believe Beane should try to trade Samuel after cuts. Palmer isn’t going anywhere and there’s no reason to believe he won’t be at least as good as he was with the Chargers. Moore is still a mystery, although dropping an easy dump-off last night doesn’t help his case.

Two weeks until Belichick & Co. take center stage on Monday night vs. TCU. It will be the only CFB game that day/night. I plan to be there; the atmosphere will no doubt be electric and there are few college football venues more visually appealing than Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. Huge early test against a program that has established itself as a legitimate player. Based upon their schedule, if the Heels win this one they will likely not lose until a 10/4 matchup vs. Clemson (in Chapel Hill). It’s about to get real!

As a Bills fan, I’m going to be thinking about this issue all day.

It was ugly. I’m really hoping it is just a function of him missing time, being the only starter out there, and “knocking off the rust” as he put it after the game. It’s not the end of the world if a 2nd round pick is a bust, but it ain’t great either.

And Shavers was wide open for a TD that White overthrew also. I think he’s making the team; he just gets open, and he’s a ST contributor.

I think it’s down to VDM, Lundt, and CVPG…gotta say I’d probably go with the rookie Lundt and hope they can put the other two on the PS. VDM filled in well at tackle but that’s the only position he plays, and CVPG has missed all of camp. Thoughts?

Those were fun to watch. To this day I have no idea how Josh got that ball out vs. Jacksonville. At that moment I “knew” we had our guy.

An 11-year-old at the time, I now look back at the 1980 season as one of my favorites of all time. Ending the Fish streak, winning the division, and being a hair's breadth from beating SD and going to the AFCCG. It should have been the start of a mini-dynasty, but cheap Ralph wouldn't pay the coaching staff what they deserved and we had to wait for Polian to come along and fix it.

I keep thinking about this and the whole thing pisses me off…what kind of person wants to watch another man have his dreams shattered on national TV?

I can’t believe these guys do this for all 32 teams. It’s an incredible amount of work. They take it seriously and it shows.

I’m not trying to demean Kelso — he was a good role player for those 90s squads.

Kelso was a center fielder who was only asked not to let guys get by him deep — and he benefitted from a tremendous front seven. Let’s not pretend he was a game changer or anything particularly special.

Disagree. They praised the efficiency of the offense, always putting ourselves in good situations and eliminating negative plays. It’s a huge compliment.

That was fantastic. If the new guys can “fix” the DT problem and if Bishop can somehow get/stay healthy, the sky is the limit. Even if those two issues persist, we’re still in the mix. Love the Nielsen hire based upon his DL experience…McD gets it too and knows what needed to be addressed.

I think Bond just unlocked the NFL draft cheat code. Go get arrested for something you didn’t do, but make it convincing enough that no team drafts you. Then get exonerated and play for whomever you want to! Brilliant! /sarcasm

I also heard today he was the first black assistant coach in the NFL. RIP
