I dunno if you've ever chased someone who is clearly faster than you... but... he can't catch him. Is he healthy enough to play and practice? Yes. Is he in pain and/or less effective? Probably also yes. -
I realize that... now. But i typed out a response so i just left it 🙂

I actually really like Fitz/Sherman/Whitworth. Tony G comes off a bit like the talking heads at other networks with the hot takes. The other guys seem to really enjoy just talking about football. Gonzalez made a comment that even if miami loses to SF they can win out - and all 3 of the other guys looked at him like... 4/6 on the road, in December and January... that's tough for a prime brady/manning team let alone a rookie HC. Yeah, it seems a bit sloppy. They're trying to do SNF with the on field pre/post game show and its not great. Honestly the SNF one might be worse - its just guys shouting over each other over and over again.

Fitz actually had a lot of interesting insights Mac Jones (or any QB really) knows that the playcaller doesn't trust him. The result of too many runs, screens, dink and dunk passes. Mac Jones doesn't have the stripes to call out a coach on the sideline. Lee Smith story - Josh Allen is a lot like you, except talented.

Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt it happens because he knows it would be a practice squad job, maybe he can get the permanent call if he makes an impact but its not a ton of money for a guy who made like 30 million in his career. However... at one point with Kumerow and Crowder this team had 6 WR on the active roster. Moving Benford to IR sort of opens up a spot there (i assume he only comes off if someone gets hurt). Lewis probably can come off. -
Dawkins out tomorrow against the Pats
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
I suppose we could and probably will a bit... thats not exactly our forte though. -
They were 13-3 with Rex Grossman, and 11-5 the year before with Orton. Those are Lovie Smith teams though. Both Jaurons 13-3 team, and Smiths 11-5 team had 5 defensive scores. The 11-5 team had a crappier offense, but I'd say both were really lucky in many ways. As for great players... Urlacher, Mike Brown, Colvin. The 05 team had Briggs who was really solid as a SAM, Vasher/Tillman who were really good.

Impending Bills Roster Shenanigans: You be the GM
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Spector and Lewis are the ones most likely to move off the roster for me. Adding Klein pushes Spector into 7th on depth chart. Lewis is behind rhodes elam jackson and white, and now behind marlowe at S as well. I see both going to PS for Stevenson/Boettger. After that: Kumerow comes back - Murray comes off for oline assuming you're comfortable with boettger. Benford probably just stays on IR unless a DB gets hurt. You have white, elam, rhodes, Jackson. He won't play so I'd keep him on IR unless someone gets hurt. Wildcard is john brown. If he can make an impact from the practice squad call-ups i could see them bringing him to active roster like rhodes. Likely also injury insurance though for someone going out. -
Yeah, if you want to buy tickets it says date: TBD.

I don't think we run enough RPOs tbh. The issue is every RPO is a slant.

Jerry Hughes looks mad in Houston

Not to mention... you have to negotiate someone else on your teams contract with said agent who now has a pretty poor opinion of your organization. -
Rhodes signed to 53, Benford to IR

He needs work in man coverage - He struggles when his eyes arent on the QB. He was drafted as a zone corner. His man coverage skills aren't terrible, he's usually in the right place, hes just late getting his head around. Id even say his ball skills aren't terrible as he's usually trying to disrupt the catch point - but it's always been after the receiver catches it, not before. At this point I think he needs the bench for a minute for a confidence boost. -
McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward

Yeah. You can't get caught as far up field or you create rushing lanes so it's harder to bait the linemen too far up field. -
Dane Jackson was toast 😬

Wasn't this a 0 blitz? That's sort of a tough throw to ask of Goff since he probably isn't stepping up into it. -
it's speculative, but definitely was more of an issue around the time it occurred. It was major enough that he missed a game, but likely minor enough that he practices.

Nice thing about the gimmicky stuff too is that instead of allen in the pocket scanning the field, its read a single guy. Hand off or pass. Pitch or hand off. -
I think it impacts his route running. And even when he ran a TD for 98 yards it was still clearly bothering him.

Beasley doesn't fix our recent red zone problems. We act like we need him on 3rd downs. We are converting at a higher rate in 2022 vs. 2021 - 50% vs 46.4%. We are worse in the red zone at 51.3% vs 62.3%, but having beasley doesn't impact that as he had 0 RZ TDs in 2021. -

Position-less. Run those linebackers and nickel backs ragged moving them around the formation, force them into zone adjustments that you can pick apart. -
He was money on hitches in the browns game. Is that one of the 3? lol Playing through a bum ankle most of the season is always going to make jumping out of cuts etc more difficult.

I'm not seeing him targeted much at all for whatever reason. I'd buy all-22 but i dont even know what i'd be looking at. Play design has a lot to do with things, route spacing, is he primary, was the play checked... etc. -

We're so strapped for WRs at the moment with Kumerow/Crowder/Stevenson all on IR. I can't imagine making him inactive, but I could see decreasing the snap count and being more selective about his usage. The goal having both Hines and Cook is a personnel grouping that is almost position-less. Add Mckenzie and Knox and you basically have 4 players who you can line up in the backfield or at WR, several of which are matchup issues. Ideally you try to run a no huddle type of offense with that grouping for a drive or something.
