All roads in Livingston County will be closed to all but emergency vehicles at 3PM today (15 minutes). Just got to work (live and work in Monroe County), hoping roads are passable at midnight! Wonder what happens to people going home from work after 3PM - is that emergency travel? Do they arrest you?

When I was a kid, my father worked at the Bethlehem Steel plant, and they could only work when the Great Lakes, especially Lake Erie, and seaway were not frozen. Frozen years like this hit many families like a drought hit farmers whose crops died. That seems like a strange parallel, but accurate. They tried "ice dams" in the spring for a while so the eastern end of Erie by Buffalo did not get so badly 'clogged' as it emptied into the Niagara River, but that was shortening the growing season all the way back to Dunkirk, hurting the orchards and vineyards there. The air coming off the lake was crossing corralled icebergs instead of water, and delaying Spring. Compared to weather, we are very small. It sure is pretty though!

Just starting season 10 of Stargate SG-1. I had never watched the originals except the movie that inspired the series.

I have heard that Montclair, NJ is nice. I used to live in several places Jersey but that was many years ago: Stanhope, White Meadow Lake, Lake Hopatcong, and Denville. It is kind of a purple haze in my memory now.

I had a mullet. All 4 of my children were living at home; Now 3 are married and I have 6.5 grandchildren. Everywhere you went people wore Bills gear. My daughter (Babyrock) thought the Super Bowl was Someone vs Buffalo.

I have gotten up at Hammer's before a home game and had a beer before sunrise. Other times/places, I was still drinking from the night before. THAT was some years back,

I have not seen "Lego" so I might completely wrong, but well written animation is entertaining for adults and children. I would cite the OLD Warner-Brothers theatrer cartoon shorts and more recent "techno" animation movies like "Shrek", as examples.

So for New Yorkers, after already being taxed 6 ways to Sunday, we could GIVE interest free money to millionaires to supplement the extortion by the state. Emotionally, it would be great to contribute. I want to feel like I did very thing I could to show my desire to keep the Bills in Buffalo. In reality, on 4.15.14 I will be sending more than $100 to NYS. Let THEM forward it to One Bills Drive. just my $0.02

I am 60 and this was the first time I really saw Bruno Mars, and I thought he was very good. I also *really* like the RHCP, but they are one of those bands you like or hate.

I am looking forward to the Super Bowl. The hype has always been there but there are now 1500 stations to blab about it 24x7. I have done my best to NOT watch any sports this week.

I actually let the wife watch the Grammy's instead. The only thing cool was that my brother was visiting his son who works in Honolulu and they went to the game. Just being in Hawaii would be enough. I look at the Grammy's and I wonder who anyone will remember in five years.

Since I have no choice and need more info, I will be optimistic about this move!
