You are correct, however those teams that won in the 90's did both really well. Aikman, Kelly, Young would have thrived throwing the ball as much as the Qb's do now.

Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien say, ummmm, ok... Lol..j/k

How can you not have John McKay in there, just due to his quotes Question: What do you think of your offenses execution? Answer: I'm all for it. Lol. We couldnt run the football, we couldnt pass the football, we couldn't block. But we made up for it by not tackling. Epic...

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
Stenbar replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do not like McDermott in a game situation at all. I do not think he has the ability to see what needs to be done to win a game under not normal circumstances or make the correct decision under a stressful important key time of a game. I have only seen conservative and mish mash leadership during those instances. It works once in awhile, ex. the pick 6 against the Ravens in the playoffs two years ago. Andy Reid was like that, he finally one a Super Bowl, and he had overwhelming talent to do it with. We "had" that until last week. This game was lost by players being injured prior, and non hydrated or prepared for the heat they encountered. A few bad coaching calls, and missed plays being made. Not all on the coach. But he is partly responsible, he did not do enough to get the win. It's one loss, not the end of the world. I am not bothered by the loss itself, I am bothered by the lack of preparedness of the team, which could be due to the loss of a day of a short week. We will win the division, but he has to get better if they are to win the Super Bowl for sure. -
Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)

Call me crazy, i would move Tre to Hyde's spot at safety, when he comes back. Less stress on the knee and he would thrive as well in that spot, as long as the corners playing now do not falter. Would definitely add a few different looks to the defense. -
Sean freaking McDermott...let's offense just do what they do...

He is a good coach, McDermott deserves a lot of credit, but his major flaw is his game day management. It cost us the KC game last year, and a few others before in previous seasons. Sometimes good isn't good enough. Do you think he would call an onside kick such as Sean Payton in a Super Bowl? Our talent is the best in the league IMO. All it takes is one wrong decision to end a season when it counts. I just remember the look of Allan on the bench after the KC game, you could see it in his eyes and face. Don't tell me he wasn't thinking the same thing. How did we just lose this game with 13 seconds left. Every game day decision he makes is a grade. Including every other decision maker on the team. Sometimes talent can overcome those, but once in awhile it does not. You can call me whatever for bringing it up after last nights game. They whooped them, however the game was on the line still and he whiffed big time. You want to see how it affected the team? Look at the next play, disaster. It has a trickle down affect. They overcame it, but when the teams are better as the games count more, one and done, the pressure and stress mounts, you want a guy making THE decision to know what he needs to do, and not crack. He did last year and he hasn't proven he can yet. I want him to, he deserves it. You are what you are at a certain point. We will see. I like the wins in the regular season they add up, I want to be cheering my team on a parade when its over not being pissed off for another stupid decision -

I particularly loved his timeout on fourth down that stopped an Offside and an easy first down. He is a clown when it comes down to game management, and there are only two reasons why this team will not win the Super Bowl this year, and he is one of them, the other the wrong injury to the best player.- 74 replies

I seen it when it happened, it looked to me like he injured his hamstring while running. Only the Bills know at this point what type or how serious or not. If it was a cramp, this coming weeks game isn't the best place to play with cramping issues. For all of the talk this off season of how the Bills training has reduced their injury problem, it sure does not look like it at this point. Get Well Soon.

Thoughts on the Cusp of a Magical Season

We are due a season ending injury to a qb. I hate saying it, but it's our curse. 😜 -
Buffalo Bills are reportedly interested in DE Chandler Jones
Stenbar replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chandler Jones would be a great addition. McDermott is the reason we will not win a Super Bowl while he is coaching this team. His game management skills are on par with a pee wee football Coach. He has none. His team building is top notch. -

McDermott Game Day Decision Making
Stenbar replied to BillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is and has been my biggest gripe with McDermott. The timing of the Bills gadget plays are head scratching at best. Allen, has not led his team to wins against bona fide well coached defensive teams at all. When you have third and one, and you are up three to zero, you get the first down, Allen should be running up to the line, and snapping the ball on the first sound, and ram his giant 6ft plus frame for the yard. End of story. And then they not only did not do that once, but three times. It is beyond stupidity. When the defense has good personnel and make Allen throw underneath, he has the deer in the head lights look every freaking time. He has not and it is my opinion, he will never be able to defeat this defensive strategy. It is not in his capability. So it is on the coaching staff to keep him out of that spot. Instead, when we play teams that employ that defense, our offensive decision makers pee down their leg every freaking time. They are not helping Josh at all. And that is on our coaching staff. -
I grew up watching cbs “The NFL Today”. He brought intelligence, and class to that show.

I would equate him signing with the Buffalo Bills as Reggie White signing with the GB Packers.

If I were in Rodgers shoes, I would be looking at two decisions that effect me The decision to draft a Qb in the first round, when there were needs that should have been addressed with a higher priority. The decision to go for a field goal instead of going for the touchdown. I would come to the conclusion that the Coach and Front office do not trust me. There is a loss of trust. Once that is lost it is time to move on. I would either demand a trade, or retire. I doubt he ever wears a Green Bay Packers Jersey in a game ever again.

I have been following football since the 1976 playoffs. I have noticed a pattern of teams growing from, a has been, to a playoff team, onto a Super Bowl contender, to one expected to make the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl. And then there is the surprise OMG everything fell into place, and that team wins the Super Bowl. It does not happen often, the Pats on 2001 with Brady's first win, they grew into one after that but no one thought they would be headed to where they ended up. With that said, this Bills team has paid its dues to get to where they are at right now. The question to me is, do they still need a little more seasoning to make the next step? Is there one more heartbreak in order to push them to the next level? Or is this the team that moves the needle to SB Champion? I believe they are on the top of the fence ready to put their two feet on the other side of the land called Super Bowl Champion, I think they win it it this year, they have all the pieces, they are relatively healthy, and the team they are playing is a little banged up. Home field advantage is not what it was a year ago for the Chiefs, and this Bill's team is very hungry, and playing very disciplined football. If they keep playing turnover, penalty free football they win this game regardless of Mahomes or not. GO BILLS
