Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3
White Linen replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's not what was said. He said if we get to x point offensively it'll firmly put us in the conversation as a top 10 team. We already are. -

We were tied for a top 8 team last year. -
Did The Bills Dig to Deep for Diggs Some Think So !!
White Linen replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to wood burn or bronze this somewhere. "One larger than life NFL Expert Peter King thinks the Bills over paid for Diggs due in part to the amount of WR's in this years draft i'm not sure if one of those players could have been drafted by the Bills & made as big of a contribution as Diggs in their first yr but i do know they could have been a lot cheaper in respect to how many players they could have gotten in the draft & how much monetary compensation they will pay for one player vs. 4 they gave up ." It's a long sentence, but necessary. -

But don't you understand it's automatic to get one in this years draft? I mean, there's just so many receivers all you have to do is draft one. At pick #22 we'd have our choice between the 4th - 7th wide receiver taken in the 1st round. Why would you take someone proven when a blind shot to a small target is right there in your face? -

Fresh take but I'd prefer we talk about our WR Stefon Diggs. -

Agholor to the Raiders - Not a big deal I know...

I thought he might turn into something - but he just didn't. -
How dare you. This must continue.

I most likely would but it really depends on how Allen failed. So far I'm not 100% confident in McDermott's ability to coach offense and Daboll has frustrated me many times. If we continue to not trust the offense, play conservative offense, play Dimarco at WR and no screen passes to RB's - then I'll have a different feeling vs Allen just can't move past what he doesn't do well.

I don't agree with Winston at all. Winston in the hard knocks episodes was desperately trying to show leadership skills. To the point it was overkill, for me. But he does seem to want to be part of a team process with being a leader. He's got to work on it, IMO, because I think it may turn off some guys how he's doing it. Newton on the other hand seems like a guy that isn't all in during the week. He stopped improving and to some that have limited inside info, they have said he isn't big on film study. That doesn't seem like a BB guy. I do think Dalton would also be a good choice from that perspective.

He had some good moments. Depth is always good.

.... but what am I?

Best WR Trio in the AFC, or in the League?
White Linen replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins is definitely more physically talented, which makes him an under performer even more. Also when Hill was out for 4 games he had 14 catches for 167 yds and no TD's. He doesn't step up. Beasley had a very nice year and seemingly will only get better as a slot receiver with Diggs on the field now. So there's considerably reason to believe he can be better. -

It also appears we're not done. -
We are looking at Melvin Gordon according to this tweet

Could be but if the reports are true about Gordon or if we do something else significant at RB - we should know what they think soon. I personally think he's a good back. He gets tough yards, he's shifty and gets yards on good directional decisions. He lacks that burst though and for whatever reason didn't trust him in short yardage and they didn't throw to him (or any backs). I'll say they didn't use him near enough. I don't think we got a full look at his capabilities, so for now only they know. -

I think they do too and don't see Devon as a lead back. I don't either but get beat up for it. -

I've tried to tell you a couple times/ways. Because Mahomes is at peak right now, maybe he'll get better but they're offense is already running on all cylinders and they use their tight ends and backs a lot. Allen has more room to grow because he's not peaked like Mahomes. So it stands to reason Beasley and Brown should do better as/if Allen does. Watkins also downgrades their group because all 3 of our receivers are better than him. -

I'll try one more time but I think you're just trying to be.... you know. Brown, Beasley and Diggs had better stats than Hill, Hardman and Watkins last year even if you use Hill's 2018 stats which were unbelievable. The likelihood of him passing those incredible numbers are small - they were that good. Based on the numbers, they're just as dangerous of a set as the Chiefs. Of course Allen has to perform for Diggs as Cousins did and that will take time. Said another way if we swapped the 3 receivers with the Chiefs, Mahomes could perform with them as he did or better with our receivers. They are a dangerous group. It all comes down to Allen performing. -

Ok you're not a quick learner. Want to do it that way? Because Diggs is dominant compared to Watkins. -
Beane/McDermott Late Round Draft Success Fact or Fiction?
White Linen replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Butch Rolle? He had 38 catches for 213 yards and 11 TD's in 8 years. He's an example of how Beane isn't finding gems like Polian?
