We look at how much cap space we have and totally underestimate how much of that is needed next year, to add talent and the following year for Allen. I want them to let Shaq and Phillips go - sacrificial lambs for the greater good. I want a disruptive pass rusher that I'd like to draft or spend money on vs them.

So your answer is to allow something else that can be equally as destructive allowed to protect the notion it's demonized over alcohol? That's not the answer, IMO. But the fact they're even allowing him to test free agency without BB and Kraft both publicly saying we 100% want him back. If I were them I'd let it be 100% known its Brady's decision. It might be a little degrading for a moment but they'd look like the bigger people. Then if they struggle, some of the blame shifts and takes pressure off the organization. Then if Brady fails he'll look like the fool.

I find the idea that the Patriots would allow this circus to go on and not make it obvious they want Brady to retire a Patriot ridiculous. A truly slimy act, IMO.

Nothing really, other than I personally don't think he was clear and he gaffed. He said he only had 4-5 weeks and they had a month or two to prepare (said in reverse). I don't think it's going to effect anything but he didn't come off as overly bright. Again, I don't think WR's (as I said above) need to be my smartest players. I also thought the portion where he's talking about what he "brings to the table" was brutal.

Paying more than a players value is what free agency is. He's worth about 8.5 and that's if you feel his production fits nicely into the scheme.

It's amazing how similar their measurables are. I'm normally against a trade up in the first round. It just costs too much, IMO. However I'd consider it for Jeudy - I think he's going to be special. Even though they have similar playing styles - the way Jeudy runs routes and has a lot of nasty in his game, I'd only consider it for him.
