Correct and it's the tough side of the tag. I understand both sides and it's a difficult situation.

Yeah definitely. I think he just cracked and said something stupid when we all know what happened. He thinks he's good enough to not have to participate and he'll work out at his pro day. It was just dumb to put it out there that way. Pretty simple and overall not a big deal. I suspect every team will also think this is a non issue.

We've had 11 guys eclipse 1,000 yds receiving in the last 20 years and we wouldn't be interested in Green. That's just hilarious to me. We're so good we don't need someone who's done it 6 of his 9 years. Nah we're good on offense, we'll just find someone better, hahahahaha.

Yeah I agree it's a bad look and he didn't do himself any favors. However a lot of these kids are nervous, young and dumb. I don't think he came off as arrogant in the interview of him speaking - it's just that he shouldn't do a lot of public speaking. At the end of the day, I don't need my WR's to be the smartest guys on the team. I'd still draft him with little concern about him skipping the combine. He should have just worded it completely different.

Buffalo isn't in the bottom half of worst cities to play in. -
Obviously we differ - which is perfectly fine. I just don't think teams think that way about Green. I can definitely see a team like the Steelers, Seahawks, Patriots, Colts and Chiefs (if they let Sammy go) being interested with little concern about his motivation if he makes good money. We should be in on a player like Green if he becomes available and I suspect we will.

AJ Green is far from a desperation acquisition. Great one's will or have investigated if his ankle is healed. Players like him don't come available often and if he hits free agency, he'll have several strong organizations going after him.
-
A team that is comfortable with his ankle being healed and doesn't want to make a long term commitment. At some point we have to commit to acquiring top end WR talent. Teams over pay for WR's all the time because they're so difficult to get. Green will have a large market for his services (if he's not franchised) and it's not going to be for under $10 mil a year.
-
I wouldn't go quite that high but I'd gladly give him a 2 year - 30-32 mil deal. WR is the most difficult position to fill in the NFL past QB, IMO. I think older short term players are the answer with our cap situation. It gives us an opportunity to fill some voids without long term commitments and draft their replacements now. I think that's how the great organizations do it.

I just hope it turns out bad for both sides. Even if that means staying together.

You think that happens enough for players to not want to come here? I don't - the players deal with very little weather comparably. -

What winter would he or any player have to deal with? -
There's no way we're going to pay a 37 year old TE $12 mil a year.

Would you make a trade for Alshon Jeffery?

I think these are some interesting questions proposed by the OP. GM's and draft experts/analysts do two completely different things. A GM is trying to rate/grade players, then identify their team needs and predict future needs based on collaboration with his staff for only his team. They grade the players and at the end run through some mock draft scenario's and try to figure out who may be available to them. An analyst is mainly trying to identify who will go where based mostly on team needs. Some do their mocks based on what they think will happen and others do it based on what their sources are telling them teams may do. The good analysts can breakdown a players strengths and weaknesses as good as any scout or GM. They have staffs and a lot of them know what they're talking about. A good one can also be as wrong as any scout or GM. There's, IMO, a clear difference between a mock draft done by Jeremiah, Kiper and Brandt vs MJD and Bruschi.
