  1. I don't like the Cleveland scenario. I'd consider the Tampa one.
  2. If the culture is built correctly a team can bring on guys that just need to be brought up to reach their full potential. I still believe that's possible.
  3. Trying to figure out what a 21-22 year old is going to grow to be like is difficult. Mix in a kid that's likely been treated like "the man" since being young, he's been coached into creating a perception of himself and then give him money - now you've got an even more difficult thing to try and figure out. Not an easy thing to do and is the reason that they spend soooo much time looking into these guys. Do you think they don't spend massive amounts of time looking into the character of these potential draftees?
  4. Something that also stood out to me is he wasn't timid. What I like about him is he will show you what he's got good or bad. When he's in the game he acts like he's ready.
  5. Pegula mismanaged drafts in 1999? You really need to get your head out of the sand. You think drafting Jack Eichel was mismanagement? If you do - then you really need to get away from Buffalo sports, somehow. Help yourself!
  6. You think Bucky makes sense when he says fans hoping we lost for Jack Eichel was delusional?
  7. I understand your stance and thanks for clarifying what we totally disagree on.
  8. That pick on Dak was very impressive. Excellent way he decided to defend the off line of scrimmage pass.
  9. I enjoyed the thought behind each of your picks. I don't think anyone could argue that CB is likely to be a top priority but I think they'd take a serious look at Foster if he's there.
  10. Don't be so small minded with your broad stroke. Bigger issues always exist but doesn't mean smaller ones aren't worthy of time. Just because it frustrates me and I'll spend time/money to fix 1 of the 3 toilets in our house - doesn't mean I can't understand there's hungry people in the City I live in.
  11. I do think it's a bit more complicated than I was assaulted so I shot in terms of whether that's justified by law. I do agree that it shouldn't matter if it's a male or female but I do think their stature also needs to be the same i.e. is it reasonable to believe a 100 lb female vs a 225 lb male could justify the same amount of self defense chosen.
  12. I briefly met Chad on the field when he was with Clemson. It was memorably negative experience as he was a rude punk. FF to today and it appears he hasn't changed much. I see no chance this jerk becomes the leader of an NFL football team. My guess is the lengthy research NFL teams do will lead them to glaringly red flags. Even after everything that has happened when asked what he would tell NFL teams in the interview process he said "I have it all. I play with a different swag they've never seen before". He is truly a moron.
  13. Not while they're in arbitration for not being able to own a franchise in another sport.
  14. I disagree. Taylor doesn't trust himself and I wish he would. It's a double edged sword though because I like that he doesn't turn the ball over. He likes to see the guy open then pull the trigger and he's got enough arm strength to do it - however sometimes throwing when the WR is open it has to be thrown so quick he forces himself to be inaccurate at times. Boldin doesn't get wide open but he makes the tough tough catches for his QB - that's not a marriage for Taylor. I think a guy that gets separation is what works with Taylor. I hope Listenbee becomes that receiver. For example Tyrod doesn't throw these type: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVdf7m_1GpE
  15. Even though we don't have one?
  16. Boldin would not be the type of WR that could help Tyrod.
  17. IMO, most improved Bill was Shady.
  18. This is how a great pass rush can make a 5th round LB look like an all pro. I appreciate you giving us a glimpse of what McDermott plans to do.
  19. INteresting idea
  20. Brown won't be difficult to replace. This is where Whaley excels.
  21. You don't see any difference in trading a player in his last contract year vs a player with 2 more years? There's no comparison to you wanting to trade Gilmore last year and what the Seahawks are exploring - and certainly no reason to say this is what good teams do.
  22. I won't profess to know his game all that well but from the little I've read - it seems he often overruns to get to the passer and gets beat in the run game because of the QB pursuit. I think another knock is he's described as somewhat "tight hipped". Again, not saying he can't convert but I see him as a part time pass rush specialist that could earn additional playing time as he learns to understand the other responsibilities of the DE position. To add to your point about his skills dictating a higher draft position than you'd be willing to entertain - I'd add that would probably also ring true for a team running a 3-4. A team running a 4-3 would be interested in him at a higher draft position than a 3-4 looking to convert him would.
  23. I always enjoy your posts when you stop by and visit us. Honestly not just because of the compliments - you bring calm fair minded opinions.
  24. Not that I want Sherman but there's a place in every defense for a great man coverage CB.
