I like that they're strategically doing something. NE saw offenses going to tall receivers and defenses combating by going with taller defensive backs - so they went with short, quick, route running receivers that drive the tall DB's nuts.
I wish fans like you would just shut their yap. We're in the Patriots division. We would have won the AFC North, South, and East multiple times and been in the playoffs several more.
Don't dwell on what they're doing man. They have a great QB and head coach and the Bills are unlucky to be in their division. No team and I mean no team could survive with them in their division. We've got to keep moving forward by trying to win the wild card.
I think Graham is a nice fit in this defense. The only way we're going to love it is if the front 7 can pressure the QB. If they do (I believe they will) the secondary will feast off of quick decisions forced on the QB. When the front 7 doesn't put pressure on in this defense it looks like bend but don't break (painful to watch),
Either way the secondary has to be comprised of intelligent football players. It's not dependent on traditional cover skills and that's why I think Graham could play in it. I suspect he's back at some point.
I could see us re-signing him in a couple of Months or so. Makes complete sense to cut him now and see who else you can get. If we weren't able to shore the position up completely - we can bring him back at a reduced salary.
Stop acting like 4th round picks are gold. How about we see how Ragland plays before you try and predict he's not worth it. Can you please explain how you know he would have most likely been there at 49? Can you let us know what grade the teams had on him that picked in front of us? I ask because you seem to know.
I think this too. If you're reaching out to the GM - I have to think you're asking to take some kind of roll. I just can't see how a GM could approve that. Not that Christie couldn't be helpful or that reaching out wasn't appreciated but what do you say to the coach on staff? I mean does the coach listen in - does he wait to hear from Carp what was shared - what happens if there's even a small contradiction?
C'mon cut them some slack. It was obviously an important place for them and it's ok with me if they vent a little. Yes multiple threads have been started but it's clearly just getting some emotions out. I'm 42 years old and as silly as it sounds my post total means a little something to me as I'm sure something similar there meant something to them. Then to start over at 1 post can be a deflating feeling.
It takes a long time to get to know someone through their posts and I'm sure they feel like a lot of their posting personality was taken from them. I think if we just give them a little time to get this stuff out of their system we'll have some fantastic posters to interact with.
I don't think NRC getting cut has much to do with what they'll do with the outside guys. However I'm a little surprised because to me NRC is a liability in man coverage due to his height but in a zone I thought he'd excel with his ability to cover a lot of ground.
Oh well. I trust the coach knows what kind of players he's looking for to play his defense.
Dareus is actually built for the defense as well and the 3 tech is the pure definition of what he is. I think the perfect fit is for Washington to spell Kyle and Dareus in specific situations. The better he plays the more time he'll get - but there's a ton available in a 4-3 defense that relies on pressure.
