Former Seahawks Punter Jon Ryan to visit Bills on Tuesday
White Linen replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think so. McD and Beane love competition though, so they're always pushing guys to stay focused and to get better. However, I would think there's plenty of kicks needed for the remainder of the off season to just need another leg. -
Mike Scopp Hacking it Up on National Radio

He keeps saying over and over and over again that pre-season is a waste of time. Except he's totally wrong or every single NFL head coach wouldn't play the starters ever. It doesn't take a genius to comprehend that the pre-season does matter when there's a QB competition - and that's only one reason. Brady threw 26 passes in his second game. I guess it just doesn't matter and they had him do that because it's a way to waste time. Schoop is a fool and bulldog doesn't want to disagree with him, so the show becomes about two idiots that take on a stance and spend the show putting down anyone that disagrees. It's so disgustingly obvious why he's championing Jackson - just come out and say it you coward. -

He's an embarrassment to himself. -
He's just a focused individual that is rooted in principles. He seems like a very structured person. He's got a plan and he believes it, so the players believe in him. I would imagine the players view him as reliable. The team last year believed in each other - it's one of the hardest things to get that many personalities to do.

How Many Rushing Yards Will McCoy Get This Season?
White Linen replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see his rushing yards going to down both from the offensive line issues and also by design. I think he'll see less carries than normal with Ivory on the team - they'll want to keep the wear and tear on him controlled. He's going to be a larger factor in the passing game - I can see his passing yards going to the 500-600 yard level. -

He'll be nothing without Tyrod. Who let's go of franchise QB"s? Only the Bills. -
Terrance Fede has been impressive.

Did you watch the embedded video? Eddie Y got praised multiple times by McD. I agree with you that I think he's making it for sure. I don't know about Fede but I think Shaq could be in jeopardy. It looks like he's trying hard to me but there just aren't many results. -
No, that's the beauty of it. Of course we don't get any news as fans but we have a head coach that keeps everything in house - even the obvious. I only wish he doubled down by saying if AJ is going to miss significant time, we'll bring someone in and they'll have an opportunity to start just like AJ.

How different would football be, if...

What if field goals counted for 7 points, would we see teams kick them more? This is fun. -
Baker Mayfield better than Tyrod already?
White Linen replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod is not a good throwing QB and we saw it last night. I know it's pre-season but that's Tyrod minus his running which he won't do much (smartly) in pre-season. Landry will get frustrated and the team will lose early - then Mayfield will quickly get his shot, imo. -
It was on Bodine. edit: I think I put more blame on Bodine looking back but Ducasse is clueless. Even Clay missed. This play is pretty bad and I think what Wood did was communicate responsibilities. He was a very smart player.
-
I remember debating some poster a while back on Wood. He said he's average at best - I said you'll miss him when he's gone. We're missing him, Bodine was not good last night. He, IMO, was 100% responsible for the sack on McCarron that came up the middle. There's no good reason he left his man, ran to the left, and his guy smashes the QB. It was so bad it looked like it was on purpose.

What is Number 17 doing out there?
White Linen replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Making other players better. -
Please name Josh Allen the starter
White Linen replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's been the best guy in both games. He clearly can handle the bad o line play better and this kids poise is impressive. As Augie said, he is the best option but if that's not what's best for him, I don't want him out there. It's two separate conversations. -
Star Lotulelei: Where is the Impact?
White Linen replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a hard time going against McDermott here because he knows the player better than any of us - and he wanted him. I agree with you guys here that he noticeably was very bad tonight. When he and Washington were in the game it was not good at all. On the flip side I could easily see how players may want to proceed with caution in the pre season. I hope that's the case with Star. I wonder what McDermotts view on this is. Does he want players giving everything they have while they're in there?
