  1. You're right, what are they waiting for? McDermott has had two off seasons and Beane was brought in after last years draft - you'd think they would be completely done building the team by now.
  2. Cute phrase and everything but "aim small, miss small" doesn't really make any sense in throwing a football. He said it helps with nerves - ok fine - if that's a mental thing he does. It's just not enlightening and certainly doesn't make you a franchise QB.
  3. Very true at least the thought that they must be up there in bringing in WR's that play. The OL is interesting. They knew about wood and executed the trade with Glenn prior to knowing about Incognito. Besides Incognito the O line is what they knew and decided on - so I hope they know better than what it looks like to fans.
  4. I wouldn't expect anything significant so your concern shouldn't be one at this point. Players get brought in to every organization at different points and times during the season. Some contribute and some don't - depends on the player(s) and the circumstances.
  5. Fair point and I'm a huge fan of his too. I just wonder what his reaction might be if that's what happens. He's at the point in his career that legacy is important and he's clearly aware of where he'd like to be in the history books.
  6. I can certainly understand your concern on injury. It'll be interesting to see what the Bills do in the scenario you've described. Shady for being a smaller back - does some of his best work on the goaline and really likes being the one to score in that situation.
  7. This is incorrect and you can say wrong context if you'd prefer. The Jags starting RB already ran like Ivory so he wasn't a compliment. They obviously in the top half of the year just used Ivory as a similar back - thunder and thunder, if you will. It had some success but they later in the year went to T.J. Yeldon, who has the size to be powerfull for sure but is definitely a make you miss RB. Yeldon is just better than Ivory - so they obviously went with him. We need Ivory as a change to what Shady does. It's really that simple. He's likely not going to get a ton of work but we didn't have a runner like him on the roster and it's a positive signing to fill a roll.
  8. Ivory is 2 years and 4 months younger and was nearly 41% more productive in just 2 more games. He's done because look what Tolbert did? He's the perfect compliment - in terms of age (maturity) and style. He's the kind of back that can not get a carry in 2 straight weeks - then give you everything he's got in the next game because the match up is better. He understands his role. Yes a guy that gets two carries, one for 1 yard and another for 10 has a 5.5 YPC - but Ivory is the kind that gets you one for 3 and another for 4 - obviously not every time but he's a guy that truly hangs more around his average. He's a battering ram - a pain to tackle - veteran that is rested (didn't play a ton the 2nd half of last season) - he absolutely is a threat in the passing game (very much unlike your comparison of Tolbert - and he's exactly the type of runner this team needed.
  9. Who would you need to "sell" the no QB to?
  10. I felt like Zac Dysert was going to be the surprise QB from 2013 and I wanted the Bills to take him badly.
  11. Seems like a great guy. Absolutely enjoyed watching him on America's Got Talent.
  12. I'm sure you're a nice guy but you're boring me on this topic. No worries, I'll move on.
  13. The first part came along because you responded to two posts - I should have deleted. Clearly you responded to me then I to you - so nothing was taken out of context. You and I were discussing your ability to see the future and also how you incorrectly evaluated Allen's accuracy. I get it, I'd avoid that if I was you too.
  14. I agree. These things mean a lot to players. Mularkey didn't say this publicly but if I recall correctly it was rumored that he said he didn't know about the streak.
  15. So you're just going to completely ignore that almost all draft evaluators are wrong consistently and constantly? Analytics shows you and they are wrong - now what? Just ignore that? Boom or bust is a joke - there's no way to predict that. He's not the QB you wanted - just say that and stop your clamoring about possessing ability to predict the future. Especially when you're going to bring along other sources that try and predict the future and have been proven to be wrong.

  17. Beane did say if there's a player available that makes them better, they'll look at it.
  18. The entire draft is a gamble so of course they do. The odds are against anyone and every drafted QB. Allen is no exception and also shouldn't be singled out as a particular risk.
  19. I can't wait until Josh Allen shuts his critics up.
  20. Wow, great read
  21. I don't think it's his size - it's that he runs high. There's no waist bend when he runs or catches the ball and he exposes his body to hits.
  22. Totally agree. Benjamin isn't a scrub but he's got to stay healthy and make an impact. We shall see...
