  1. Why? The team went 9-7, 8-8 and 7-9 the last three seasons with significant issues, especially how Rex Ryan destroyed himself in the 2nd half of the 2016 season. The worst this team is going to be is the same 7-9 without Watkins for most of the year....which is definitely not "Unwatchable". That would be an insult to all those 53 players on that squad especially the good players like McCoy, Williams.
  2. There..fixed it for you!
  3. The hoodie will make the adjustments and that defense will be terrific in the 2nd half of the season. But the Steelers can now sense an opening this year!
  4. Yeah...I really don't understand...The guys that are gone Watkins, Glimore, Gillislee, Darby, Ragaland, Williams were all good people in that locker room. They were never a distraction.. They were sent packing because they were either not good, not good for the system or business decisions. This team really had no identity under Rex Ryan because Rex wanted the spotlight. No player was allowed to be the mouthpiece of this organization.
  5. The contract Luck signed with the Colts will prevent them from trading him as that will crush their Salary cap for the next few years. The Colts are paying for having Manning on their roster and paying him ransom money. It did not allow them to put better quality players at other positions. The same goes in New Orleans...and it will soon follow in Atlanta and Detroit. The folks in Pittsburgh, Seattle and New England know how to manage their QB Salary.
  6. crap. Prayers and well wishes to him
  7. I think KC played a much better game. In a tough stadium and with 4points behind in the 4th quarter they exploded with 3 TDs...That has nothing to do with Gilli.
  8. Gaines for Darby is not that big a difference especially considering the defense that Sean is unleashing. Trading Sammy will be tough to overcome, but if the Bills have a decent coordinator they could overcome that with better utilization of Charles Clay. With Taylors inability to look at his 3rd and 4th option, Clay now being the #1 and #2 is good for him.
  9. +1. Unless the Bills had a strong urge to Maholmes at that pick, they were wise to trade down. They have plenty of ammunition next year if they need to go up and get that QB at the top-3. But I am sensing that the Journey of the 2017 Buffalo Bills is going to be a cautiously optimistic situation
  10. Hogan had a great game in the AFC Championship game that gained him a lot of National Respect. The same goes for Gillislee...He had 3 TDs in front of the national audience. Nobody said Gilli is their starting RB...They were good players who are playing well in that system. I am sure Gilmore will have a monster year too. The Pats are that good...But for me it is the Journey of the 2017 Buffalo Bills that will interest me.
  11. I would rather focus on what our team will do on this Sunday. We take care of business on our side, we will be there at the end of the road. Let us cherish the Journey called the 2017 Season of the Buffalo Bills !!!
  12. Another reason why they didn't retain Gilleslee as the primary backup.
  13. Tyrod is a starting caliber (albeit a slightly above-average one) QB and those don't hang on trees to grab it. Sean knows it and was smart to keep Tyrod as his starting QB barring injury. Could they have stayed at their original draft position and picked Patrick Maholmes; that could have been a big possibility but may be their scouting (Whaley's) did not give enough confidence. Who knows.
  14. Best was Putting Brady's ass on the turf on a 31-0 rout. Worst was McKelvin fumbling the ball on the Kick Return and allowing Brady to come back.
  15. The game will die its natural death when it is stripped off its super stars. People will stop watching when the game becomes sub-standard. It could still take 50 years
  16. +1. If ST can improve and give the offense better field position it would definitely help.
  17. Agree. At the same time the whole thing about "bringing cultural change" is a load of crap. NFL players and coaches work their ass off during both regular season and off season. The gaps between good and bad is pretty thin in the NFL. It is really sad when people say Rex ran a country club. That could be further than the truth. The truth is that Beane and McDermott want a different style or approach to bulding a team and want to mold the team to their approaches. Time will tell if the will have success like a Levy or go the same way as Greg Williams or Doug Marronne, who kept emphasizing on this "cultural change". Teams under Marv Levy or Bill Bellichek are winning because they have the talent aligned for their scheme.
  18. Disagree....10+M for a guy giving 5-6 TDs is very poor value.
  19. I am assuming that the three of them agreed that a trade of Sammy would be a good idea...Then Beane goes off and finds a partner for the trades, put all the parameters in place and then calls up his HC and Owner to tell them that he has a trade ready to go. I think this is perfectly in line with the power structure
  20. But what everyone is forgetting is that the cost of picking that option was quite high...about $13M....Now the management team has to decide if that was worth the ROI. It wasn't!
  21. I hope they don't give away those six picks to get one player!
  22. +1. Every season is a new start with a lot of hope and expectations. Go Bills!
