  1. He is already signed and the Bills own him. They simply need to decide on March 1st whether to pay him the bonus or let go of him. TT will be the starting QB for this team in 2017 unless you can get a Romo in Free Agency which is really not happening.
  2. We need a real #2 and #3 WRs. The defense has been terrible
  3. I agree. I don't have a problem with the way the Bills are structured. The Pegula's are the CEO; and have the GM and Head Coach working for them. Could Whaley have done a better job of being professional with the media; yes...but who cares. At the end the Pegulas are letting the GM be the Personnel guy and the HC be the guy in charge of stuff on the field. They have every right to take actions on either side without having to include the other in the discussion. I am sure they have taken input from both sides (Whaley and Rex) every week during the season before they came to the conclusion. How they want to distribute the information is their style.
  4. Bill Polian is probably still pissed that his request to make Chris Polian the GM last year was turned down. He is making Whaley's life miserable with factually incorrect reporting. Bill is doing a horrible job. May be Bill had a deal with Rex last year and it failed.
  5. Fairly weak class. Kurt Warner gets in this time as there is no competition. Now the WR log jam has cleared, it will also make way for TO. Others making in would be Lynch, Faneca, LT and Morten Anderson. Boselli like Davis will be hurt because of the smaller number of years in the league. Good luck to all these gr8 players.
  6. Why so much negativity here..especially OPs points are all opinions of our Media (Don't know if they are true facts). It is like any other job. You are given a responsibility and a yard stick to measure your performance. If the Pegulas believe that Whaley is doing his job (according to their measuring stick) then they have no necessity to fire Whaley. A lot of failure over the past two years is based on performance on the field and the responsibility for that falls on Rex. Regarding drafting, we will never know how much power Whaley has over the personnel. Over the years what I have seen is that Bills work as a consensus team and pick players based on their needs....Gailey wanted Spiller and got him in the 1st round...Rex wanted defensive help and got them with the 1st 3 picks in 2016 draft. I am not saying WHaley is doing a gr8 job; However, the evaluation is to be done by the Pegulas based on what responsibility has been assigned to him
  7. Nope. He is keeping that as a tool to have surgery and recover in the off season keeping the Bills in Jitters. He holds the advantage.
  8. May be there is a clause in TT contract that does not allow Whaley to openly state that it was a business decision to bench Tyrod. Tyrod definitely knows why the Bills benched him (in fact him and his agent coming out with the groin injury clearly indicates that they are not going to let the Bills play any Injury card) and needs to be a professional about it. Sometimes, things are not exactly what they are.
  9. But then there is something called Salary Cap which ensures that not everyone can go to Green Bay. TO be honest, Whaley has been able to lure some real good FA talent (May be by overpaying a little).
  10. +1. and we probably need a replacement for Preston Brown. He has sucked!
  11. eball. you should be a HC candidate...I hope you are working in the marketing department of your organization. You know how to dance to the tune!
  12. Why not an in-house guy like Wade Phillips
  13. The question will be: since the bills are on the hook for about 16M more with Rex, will they be cheap with their hire of the next HC?
  14. Which part do you disagree? Rex lost his defense. It is one of the worst defense statistically. Giving up 3 200-yard rushing games.. How do you accept that. He was goingt o build a bully...which he failed
  15. agree with all except the Cardale pick. You have to keep drafting QBs until you find one, especially when you never pick in the Top-3.
  16. Cowher has a gr8 gig with CBS and is in retirement now for more than a decade. He is not coming to the sidelines to cold and snowy Buffalo at his age. LA Maybe !
  17. 1. Who will be the QBs of this team in 2017. TT may be gone, EJ is a FA and unlikely to re-sign 2. What is the plan with Gilmore, Zack Brown and Lorax who all will be Free Agents. 3. Will you make a huge effort to re-sign Robert Woods. If not will you be targeting WR in FA, Draft
  18. I think negativity about a team is Way down on the list for these kids. I am sure things like 24-hr partying in NYC vs sleep town Buffalo, snowy Buffalo vs Sunny California, High Tax NY vs No-Income-Tax Texas are all much higher on their list than snide remarks from the media.
  19. Rex was fired because his team was ill-disciplined and there was no improvement on it in year 2. His defense became worse...Three 200 yard rushers, plenty of mistakes and provided no support to an offense that was suffering from significant injuries and lack of depth. His defense was supposed to take control and have TT be a game manager. His defense failed and showed a significant regression in year two, especially when Rex was given the freedom to cut the folks that did not fit his system. Injuries to Shaq and Ragaland did not help, but that is the nature of the Not For Long League.
  20. The biggest gain with Cousins would be that with our Running game, he would be perfectly set for play-action. Cousins is more accurate than Tyrod, but does not have the same ball security. But do remember he had really good to great WRs and TEs on that Redskins team.
  21. +1. People who keep shutting down TT need to come up with an alternate QB that they can actually get for the Bills. At this point Tyrod is our best bet. May be the Bills can swing a trade for AJ with the Bengals and duke it out in training camp. But at this time we don't have a better QB on the horizon (assuming Romo doesn't want to come to the Bills...I see Romo swinging to Denver)
  22. I am surprised they are not talking to Schwartz Why. I want to a good HC. We had Chan Gailey...He was terrible as a HC.
  23. Yup. You need a good QB who does not make many mistakes. If the Bills had played ball on Offense, Defense and ST, then Tyrod is a perfect enough QB for this team especially with that awesome running game. The Bills failed MISERABLY on defense. TT is as good as Alex Smith and Flacco.
  24. The telling statement was his last one on Tyrod: Maybe he can win more games than that, I don't know. But when the other side of the ball's not performing, it's hard to outscore people." Perfectly put. At least they know that they have a problem. It starts with recognizing that we have a problem. Any incoming QB is going to keep Tyrod, because there is none better out there in the market unless you can lure a Tony Romo here.
