McDermott's responsibility would be in hiring a DC or OC who are not good enough to take the team to the playoffs. That is where he will be held accountable. He shipped a guy because he was not playing well and our Salary cap is a mess. Sometimes, you gain by subtraction.

Reggie Ragland's play for the chiefs

And having one of the best defense in the league helps!!!! -
So does anyone BELIEVE we will make the Playoffs?

As a Bills fan, we always BILLieve every single moment that the Bills will win. So there is no question about that. From where I was last night, I watched this epic game from Mid night till 3:30 AM local time. The Bills are in a tough spot with the tie-breakers, but then anything can happen in the next three weeks. The only thing the Bills can do is take care of business against the Dolphins and Patriots. -

May be he couldn't handle the playbook in TC. It would be surprising for a coach to let go of a good player even though he was able to absorb the playbook and play well in the Pre-Season, -
+1. Frasier needs to step up here and put a better defense on the field. Opponents have abused us on the run defense and it is is really crappy. If they fix the leak against the run with better LBs the defense has no where but to go up.

Chuck Pagano's Punt Was Worse Than Sean McDermott's

The guy did go for the 2-pt conversion to win the game (or lose the game) rather than tie. I don't think people view them with the way you describe. It was a tough day to be out there and kudos should go to both the teams coaching staff and players for battling it out (and the referees too). -

But the guy couldn't break into the lineup. I don't think any coach will get their ego ahead of themselves (Unless you are Rex Ryan) and get rid of a player if he is actually playing well. The Trade is as much due to Ragland's inability to absorb the new play book and adapt to the new scheme. -
PIT and NE will be 1 & 2 depending on who wins next week. The Jags will take the #3 seed because the teams in AFC West winner will more than likely have a worser record than the Jags. Loss by Baltimore and Tennessee helps our cause, but win by KC does not. I would have rather had the Raiders and Chiefs be 6-7 and 7-6 respectively.

This madness called Coaching carousel must stop. The Bills have to let the coaching staff draft and develop their players. We gave Rex 2 years and he drafted a lot of 3-4 personnel only to be ripped out by Sean. Rex himself killed the past by converting from a 4-3 to 3-4. You just can't keep changing the schemes and hope that the same piece works in different schemes. First give McD an opportunity to get his QB in place.

And Jacksonville screwed us a decade ago. Tom just couldn't get the deal done! And did you see the stupid INT he threw,

I think the Head-to-head is not important as much as the Conference record and common opponents....That is why the Jets and Bengals loss hurts us SO MUCH

Sean McD. You have an amazing tolerence .

I agree..We could have gone on that call either way. Silly arguments. -
Anybody catch the end of the Jax Seahawks game?

The Legion of Bums! -
I am ok with it. There is no real good answer at that spot at that time. The only thing going against it would have been that we had to win the game...for the Colts, a tie was fine. they did not care. why ?

Kyle Orton!

Kudos to the fans who were at the game

+1. Those fans and their support was overwhelming and the Bills almost blew it away. That defense needs to stop the run...Giving 4-5 yards on 1st down is just pathetic. -
Matt Milano starting LB from here on out?

Brown needs to go and will be replaced. The middle of the front seven has been a disaster. -
Yeah. And I think the offense played better than the defense today. The defense knew that they were going to run the ball and yet couldn't stop them especially in that last drive in regulation. If this team needs to make the playoffs, this defense has to play much better against the run. Also, teams are running against us more and more and hence the reduction in the turnovers too. This defense needs to come out better and fast or the season may get over next week. We do catch a break with the Dolphins having to play the Patriots on MNF and then having a short week to travel up to Orchard Park The only problem with the decision was the clock. If the Colts had a few first downs, they would have tied the game in overtime and our season would have gone into the tank

Top five qb in Bills history
ganesh replied to Chadwick Bay Chad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree..Doug was overrated. I would have put Bledsoe above Frank. The list shows that we have had crappy QBs. -
Could Trent Richardson be a backup RB option?
ganesh replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cadet may be a viable option. I thought he did some good things in the Patriot game. If he caught a few of those passes, he would have had an excellent game -
The wasting of draft picks can be directly attributed to the constant coaching changes. With a change of coaches/GM, there is a change in philosophy and with that comes wasted draft picks if the previously drafted players do not fit into the new scheme. And as Bill in NYC would love to say, "We spent too many 1s round picks on DBs" and then we don't re-sign them after their first contract. The other issue is the Bills staying in the Mediocrity part of the standings...They are never at the rock-bottom or at the top...So they miss out the opportunity to get a blue chip prospect. And finally, when they had chance to take QBs, they took the wrong one. If it is a QB driven league, you got to get the QB right!!!
