The biggest hurdles in the schedule is the 3-game stretch against SD, Chiefs and NE. THey could go 0-3. Then they play the Dolphins twice and NE again with a winnable home game against NO.They have to squeeze 2 wins against SD, Chiefs and @Miami.

In order to see what they are doing well and non-doing-so-well will give an idea if it is sustainable. Doing Very Well - Running the Football - Stopping the run - Turnovers - Avoid Turnovers - Kicking (FG, Punts) - Bend-But-Don't Break Passing game Not Doing Very Well - Moving the ball consistently on offense - Giving up big chunks of yards to allow opponents to move up/down the field. Some of the "Not Doing Very Well" is simply due to a lack of talent at the WR and CB position where injuries have taken a huge toll. So when you see "Doing Very Well" is a long laundry list indicates to me that it is sustainable!

We lost to Oakland and KC the last few years. We lost to Miami 0-2 last year. We lost to the Jets 0-2 last year. We have tough on the road against San Diego. I see us going 4-2, 3-0, 0-3 and 2-2 finishing 9-7

Only consolation ????? The number of INTs is what has put as at 4-2. The yards given is fairly meaningless if teams have not been able to score against us. We are still the 4th best Scoring Defense...

The difference between last year and this year is the defense. As long as this defense plays bend-but-don't-break but don't give up the points, this limited offense does have a chance to get into the playoffs. I think you are missing Phillip Rivers. He is an elite QB in the AFC along with Brady, BigBen and Alex Smith. May be David Carr is also at a higher level than Tyrod. Everyone else is worse or at the same level as Tyrod.

You mean the Bucs saw the weakness and exploited it in their game of matchups !

it is not the secondary but our LBs that opponents are exploiting. And our DT have not been able to penetrate. This defense hinges on the front 4 applying the pressure on the QB and sadly we have regressed significantly in that area, thereby exposing the secondary to the deep ball

I agree. THe Buc's WR/TEs were making it look so easy in the 2nd half scoring 3 TDs after being restricted to 6 points in the 1st half. Losing Gaines hurt the secondary. Wright is not a good player and ALexander was exposed.

Current 4-2 The next three are winnable (2 @ home and 1 on the road @ Jets) 3-0 The following three are the hardest and we probably go 0-3 (2 on the road to WC @Chargers, @KC and then home to NE) 0-3 Then we have four games with 2 home games followed by 2 road games (home to Jets and Miami followed by Road games @NE and @Miami) A 2-2 here will put us @ 9-7 and probably out of the playoffs. Can they win that season finale @ Miami and get to a 10-6 record?

YOu are making an assumption that Sammy would have been injury free, available and played every snap so far. That is a big assumption!

I broke the remaining 10 weeks into 3 3-week game plans (the last one has 4 games). 1st pack @Home wtih Oakland @ NY Jets @Home with New Orleans That is 3 winnable games if we can maintain Home Field advantage as they have done in the first 7 weeks of the season. 2nd pack - The most difficult stretch and it is very possible for the Bills to go 0-3 in this phase. @ Chargers @ Chiefs Home vs Patriots Two tough road games out of your time zone is pretty tough, especially when both those teams are playing excellent. The Pats are Pats! 3rd pack - Starts with two home games and ends with two on the road. vs Colts Vs Dolphins @ Patriots @ Dolphins If the win @ home theme can be maintained, then the Billls will be 7-1 in New Era field. That puts them at 9-5 before they go on the road at Fox Borough and Miami. The Miami season ending game suddenly becomes a huge game if the Bills hope t finish 10-6 with a playoff push for the Wild Card.

The OL came to play today. Mistake free football. Some poor decisions by Tyrod and team. He could have run for the 1st down before half time instead of throwing a difficult pass. They left 6 points on the table before half time. The DL played average. Not much of a pass rush.

Gaines is a factor. His absence was felt in the 2nd half. Wright is a poor back up. The depth is hurting us. With their two big TEs and two big WRs it was going to be tough for our inexperienced DBs to complete.

Thompson clearly showed that our current WR crop is horrible. He was able to get the needed separation.

ANd we came out on the winning side.

Gaines not being on the field hurt them. Wright was abused.
