  1. May be they can have it once at the beginning of each half and do away with it after a TD or FG
  2. No two scrubs can equal Bell. Pay the Man!
  3. Browns have 1 and 4 and have a need for a Franchise QB and at the same time pick a once-in-a-generation RB...So it would be stupid of them to not pick one Giants are in an unusual spot of holding #2 pick in a year of QB Bounty in the draft. It would be stupid of them to not pick one Jets have a need for a franchise QB ever since they traded for Sanchez. AT #3 it would be stupid of them to not pick one. Denver have heavily invested in the QB carousel for the past five years and have no answers. At #5 they would be stupid not to pick one. That is four teams that will be desperate to pick QBs in the top 5 because they have a need and there are NFL ready QBs available in this years draft. Our luck continues to hit us bad and we just don't seem to catch a break. But the Bills have the capital to move....But will any of these four teams be willing to be a trade partner...Considering what they need is the same as us, they are unlikely to miss out on the next Carson Wentz!
  4. Generational talents are available only in the top-3 of the draft...These are sure-things...We need to get one of those once in a few decades when we have the chance; either if we draft in the top5 or have the necessary draft-capital (Picks, Players) to pick in the top-5 we have to do it. Wentz is a good example to go get him. We can't assume that we will be lucky like some of the other teams where a lower-round draft pick goes on to be a Franchise QB... I would rather make something happen rather than wait for lady luck !!!!
  5. Not anywhere. In today's NFL it is all about how you pass the Football. We are in the Golden Era of the Passing League
  6. I guess they wouldn't want to show their hands as that could allow a team to trade up to #1 to get the guy they want (and the Giants want).
  7. Here is a draft preview from the Bills Daily http://www.billsdaily.com/draft/2004/preview.shtml They appeared to discuss that Eli and Ben would be gone in the top 5 and if the Bills wanted to get Rivers, they would need to come up to 10 to pick him ahead of the Steelers. The three Williams WRs went in the top 10 of the draft and still we could not get one of the top-3 QB. The sad part is that the Steelers were able to sit at their position and get their Franchise QB for the next 15 years!!!!! And this year the Giants get to pick their Franchise QB for the next 15 years after getting Eli Manning for the last 15 without sweating..... (The same way the Colts were able to tank for Andrew Luck when Manning was pushed out of town)......Talk about how the Rich get Richer!!!
  8. And that makes us a perfect match for the giants without us having to overpay. Beane is going to play his cards and wait it out until the Giants call him and take up the offer. I can't see Miami and Arizona have such draft capital to get the Giants any leverage.
  9. You just said it though...4 out of 5 top three pickes for QB are successful.. I will take that odds anytime.
  10. lol...that is a fantastic way to tell the front office to follow what they preach...perfect!
  11. Haloti Ngata was better than the BeastMode when you already had Travis Henry
  12. This!! Why are people not considering Mason Rudolph in the discussion.
  13. We have already bolstered the DL in Free Agency. It wouldn't make sense to take Rosen when he is available at 12 without giving away a single draft pick...And if Rosen is there, I don't see Miami either not drafting him.
  14. Is Lamar Jackson better than E J Manuel?
  15. That is just wishful thinking!
  16. If the Jets got Cousins, then Denver would have shot to that spot...Also remember, Arizona and possibly Miami and Baltimore are in contention for picking a franchise QB and may jump to the top 5. This is going to be one of the most exciting drafts in recent years.
  17. You don't compete with Tom Brady without a QB. The 2018 draft is where the Bills need find and fix that!
  18. I agree..but you can't have it both ways...You mortgage the draft and get a QB...Now you cannot surround him with talent...what now?
  19. This is a very likely scenario. and then the Giants can still get the Bills and Broncos to compete for that 3rd pick.
  20. The Bills do have to be careful about the 2nd wave of QBs after the 1st four...There is Miami and Arizona lurking around will be front-runners for getting them too.
  21. why...All 32 teams are in Must win mode now.
  22. Why is this so anti-bills, I believe the rest of the 31 teams also have intelligent front-office people to make their own deals that is important in their own right. Why does any one expect the Jets or Broncos to be quiet while the Bills are jumping from 21 to 12. Could make perfect sense. These are intelligent folks..there are only 32 such positions open in the NFL
  23. Or he was sensible. You don't win by mortgaging the draft.
  24. That is not how it worked...TD did try to trade with Jacksonville as he was sure the QB starved Steelers would definitely take Big Ben...He just couldn't find a trade partner. It is amazing how 15 years later the drafting of QB has suddenly become monstrous with the talk of all these trades to get the QB. People laughed at Ditka for doing what he did for Williams
