  1. Yolo got into it pretty badly with another poster in defense of the Oxford comma. I believe it ended with aggrieved parties agreeing to settle their punctuation differences with a spearing contest at the 50 yard line of Ohio Stadium. I'm guessing Yolo did not prevail.
  2. Raises? More like "doesn't lower the price of gasoline some amount". I find it hard to believe that a pipeline that never operated was so meaningful to global commodity markets such that the market has been pricing in significant discounts over the past few years based on future completion of the XL pipeline. Producing in the Canadian tar sands is already a highly inefficient and expensive process.
  3. I liked Dotson a lot coming out. He made a handful of OBJ type catches in his PSU career that never got the attention they deserved. My one concern was whether his frame could handle NFL hits. A hamstring injury doesnt have much to do with lack of size but he did miss a lot of games his rookie year.
  4. This all makes a lot of sense to me. Based on recent interviews, I think Aaron is also sick of Aaron Rodgers.
  5. There's a lot of tough talk that scores cheap political points but little else. Not renewing a few leases of little importance and killing a pipeline before it ever moved a drop of oil isn't nearly as big of a deal as people make it out to be. The libs have been "killing" the fossil fuel industry since Obama and in that time the United States passed Saudi as the largest producer of oil and gas in the world. If that is what trying looks like, there is no reason for concern.
  6. Meanwhile Chevron and the super majors are enjoying another record year of profits. Bonus checks get cut early March. I know I am looking forward to it.
  7. I'm still trying to figure out how Biden single handedly caused global inflation at rates which dwarf what we are seeing domestically.
  8. Strangely enough, I believe gun violence in the 1920s due to the availability of the Thompson gun was the beginning of the gun control debate in this country. https://www.npr.org/2016/06/30/484215890/prohibition-era-gang-violence-spurred-congress-to-pass-first-gun-law
  9. That would be a shame since the Sabres' home ice advantage has been pivotal to their success this year...
  10. Great measurables, injury concern, and not enough college production is exactly what NFL busts are made of. He was the clear third option at Ole Miss and his stats reflect that. How do you reconcile can't miss NFL star with 9th WR off the board?
  11. Does this spell the end of Taiwan Jones?
  12. If you think Devon Levi is eating minor league food and making minor league money then you don't know Devon Levi because Devon Levi isn't riding the bus in Rochester when Devon Levi could be eating Devon Levi brand caviar on a Devon Levi 777 surrounded by 10 beautiful Devon Levis catering to his every Devon Levi, DEVON LEVI!!!!!
  13. Chilean seabass is a patagonian toothfish, post rebranding in the 80s. Apart from that change in labeling, much of the seafood we get is fraudulently mislabeled. https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/07/health/fish-mislabeling-investigation-oceana/index.html Not as bad as seafood but it happens with steak too. A flat iron, some meat glue and a bit of extra effort can easily pass for filet.
  14. Rex on his interest in the Denver DC job: "I just can't wait to see Chubb dropping back into coverage!"
  15. Like filling your basement with freeze dried meals, guns, and seeds or basic mise en place and knife skills? It sounds silly, but everyone starting out cooking should youtube "how to chop...." every common vegetable and aromatic. Basic knife skills save so much time in the kitchen. Pre-measuring all your ingredients is clutch for general organization and any fast moving dish like stir fries.
  16. Braises and stews are always delicious and very hard to screw up. They take time, but most of the time is inactive as your meat slow cooks. Quick, easy and delicious, get a quality thai curry paste like Mae Ploy or Maesri, some coconut milk, veggies and meat and you've got a nice meal in 30 mins or less.
  17. The quick response by Krebs and Quinn was huge. It is still highly concerning how the last 3 games a strong performance has managed to spiral out of control in a matter of 2 or 3 minutes of game play. Credit to the Sabres for getting back in control of that game and not allowing another goal but you can't let the Ducks and other bottom feeders explode like that. I dont like our playoff chances if the winning recipe requires 6 goals a night.
  18. It looked like we were playing on hard mode most of the year. KC, San Fran, Philly scheme guys wide open while our offense is just "Allen go do crazy *****!".
  19. Anderson let in some softies and the comically bad goal last night after a fluky bounce but the whole team went into panic mode after giving up two quick goals. The second half of the second period looked like 6 Carter Huttons out there all listening to the Brown Note being blasted over the PA. Two straight games where "total loss of composure" does not even begin to describe the epic pants pooping that occurred. Before Cozens mercifully got us on the board they had allowed 12 unanswered goals.
  20. No Frazier, Beane, McD, or Hamlin either....
  21. Bienemy does not play well with others.
  22. 9 penalties were assessed for 47 yards total.
  23. "Just give it to them!" The rule changes have introduced more subjectivity into the game but I think that has gotten better the last 2 years. I believe we kinda know what a catch is and now we are near 100% on fumble vs incomplete pass. People love to B word about RTP but I am thankful we aren't watching Case Keenum vs Chad Henne in January.
