Hockey is fast paced for the casual sports fan
Jauronimo replied to Jrb1979's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Primary complaint is that people can't see the puck and find the rules difficult to understand. These issues are compounded by the speed of the game. Also every kid in the US is exposed to rec soccer, backyard football, playground basketball, and rec baseball. Unless you live in Canada, Minnesota, or Siberia you aren't growing up playing pickup hockey on a frozen pond. -
The stats show there has never been anyone open downfield when Peterman is in the game. Its remarkable. Career yards per attempt is under 4.

Peterman actually played quite well!

Every time Peterman takes the field dink/dunk seems to be the game plan. Look at his career yards per attempt. Look at it. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PeteNa00.htm -

He was checking down and throwing no more than 3 yards downfield while playing down 28 points. It was the most gutless, chicken ***** performance I have witnessed. Even against a defense that was basically playing prevent for 1.5 quarters he wouldn't test them. When you refuse to throw past 3 yards you can count on defensive backs jumping everything, sitting on short routes, and crushing guys at the LOS like the pass to Zay. Those turnovers are on Nate. -
Deadspin: Someone Left A Poo At The Bills Game

Why did Rex only get 2 years?
Jauronimo replied to RosenNOTchosen1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're awfully combative for an unabashed, West coast, world traveling, liberal academic. What happened to good vibes? You asked why Rex got fired and I answered. I didn't say McD was any better. -
Why did Rex only get 2 years?
Jauronimo replied to RosenNOTchosen1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because the team was undisciplined and shockingly unprepared in big games and situations. The defense went to hell under Rex and he was supposed to be a defensive guru. -
I’m angry, and I demand accountability.
Jauronimo replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You loved these threads when they related to Whaley and Rex. I know this situation is radically different because you "want to see where this goes" this time but lets not pretend you're suddenly above the madness. Consistency is important. -
The biggest myth on the Process/Rebuild

And against the team he coached the year whose new HC didn't update the playbook. Gruden knew exactly what was coming all game. Also, Barret Robbins.... -
The biggest myth on the Process/Rebuild
Jauronimo replied to bostonadguy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong as usual. This is the biggest string of blowouts the Bills have seen since I was old enough to watch. Look at the scores in 2001. We would KILL for double digit points week in and week out. 2001 Point differential was -155 Through 8 games 2018 Bills are sitting at -145 -
McBeane could declare Bills prima nocta during tomorrow's presser and half of you would say "look its a shame that Beane kicked my dog and drank all my beer after he f@#$ed my wife, but they're following plan." I'm seriously thinking about starting a cult after seeing how easy it is to get people to buy into plans and Processes.

The biggest myth on the Process/Rebuild

And you were over joyed last time it happened. Whats with your new found passion for continuity during the worst season we have witnessed since the Super Bowl era? -
Yep. How many times do we need to see it before we can rule out bad luck?

130 career attempts. His INT % just dropped below double digits. It was 11.5% and is now 9.2%. Today was absolutely huge for his career. 31 for 49 189 yards 3 INTs and a rushing TD. A staggering 4 yards per attempt and his first complete game. Career day for Peterman. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2018/11/04/nathan-peterman-buffalo-bills-stats-interceptions/1886569002/

These plays are more likely when defensive backs only have to cover the part of the field 5 yards from the LOS because your QB doesn't have the arm or balls to throw past the sticks. Defensive backs are wide eyed playing Peterman. They're jumping everything, breaking on every pass, and getting there just as the ball reaches the WR.

No matter what happens we can count on your excuses and defense of this team's leadership. You're an unabashed Bills apologist. The plan was always to field a historically bad offense? The plan was to get blown out before the half? The plan all along was to pick top 5 and fill all our holes in free agency WITHOUT overspending? These plans, if true (hint: they were never the plan), are terrible.

Fire someone every hour until we stop losing. Simple.

McBeane truly believes he can win with anybody out there as long as they buy into the Process.

Nate Peterman "I'm ready to go win a game"
Jauronimo replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When you toss an INT every 8 pass attempts you simply aren't afforded whatever amount of time it takes to learn. Its not fair to the other 52 players on the roster who risk their health while Peterman learns which color unis we are wearing week in week out.
