Tyreek Hill apparently arrested this morning…
Jauronimo replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
How much violence did he choose? Where is the line on the amount of violence he invited by being a jerk? A busted lip, a few broken ribs? I don't shed any tears for Tyreek given his history of being a scumbag but I am not at all comfortable with the prevailing attitude in this thread that my personal safety and freedom should be based on whatever amount of respect an officer feels they have received versus what they feel they are entitled to or the luck of whether or not I caught them on a bad day. -

That would be an odd career choice for me at this time considering my current salary, benefits, and opportunity for advancement but I will keep it in mind. -

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
Jauronimo replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will believe Von is back when I see him dip around the left tackle, running at a 30 degree angle to the ground, and bury a QB before he knows whats coming with his speed rush. We haven't seen von win with his signature move in quite a long time. ~3:00 minute mark for an example -

AJ was lining up as a tackle on multiples reps due to injuries on the interior DL. Good for him for being a team player and doing his best while lining up badly out of position. I hope we dont see him lined up on the interior ever again. -
Week 1 - Cardinals at Bills - Game Week Thread

I think the position group is a weakness as a whole but I don't think that gets better by starting someone who played worse than Hamlin so far. -

He won the job in camp and by all accounts was making plays. That should mean something. -
And some fans in from Texas. Seriously might bring my Arctyrx for the morning tailgate. I really don't understand how I existed up there for so long.

Typical first date chatter "Whats your favorite movie? Also, what do you think about Roger Goodell and the NFL's social justice campaign?".
-
She was also responding to a guy telling her "go into the locker room and tell him "get your ass out there!". She was giggling the whole time during this hypothetical exchange. The whole thing was a joke.

I expect him to be happy as a clam in Houston. Up until the day that he isn't and forces his way to a 4th team. Rinse, wash, repeat.

This one is fun too.

Coleman and Shakir might actually be able to execute on those due to their physicality. Diggs can break a tackle but he did surprisingly little with those screens.

He started catching a lot more balls near the LOS once Brady took over and he didn't do much with any of it. Other than that I am not sure how he was used differently. He dropped a lot of balls during that stretch but he was getting open. According to the advanced stats, he was separating as well as he ever had post Dorsey. He was out there and he was still running hard but mentally I think he checked out after Dorsey was canned and it was time for him to move on One of the big ironies of the year was that Allen missed Diggs deep so many times throughout the season but of course when Allen puts one on the money, Diggs lets it go right through his hands. Diggs isn't retiring in Houston. Hes got at least two more uniforms to wear before his career is over.

How Is Rashee Rice Not Suspended Or On The Exempt List?

How Is Rashee Rice Not Suspended Or On The Exempt List?
Jauronimo replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is video of the incident and he has publicly apologized for his actions. Not only do we know what he was accused of, but we know what he did and we have no doubt about his guilt. Thats a pretty unique fact set. Does Goodell really need to know the severity of public sentencing to inform the length of Rice's suspension? -
NFL feeding itself to the sharks (Private Equity)
Jauronimo replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
You have a problem with the financing? Defunct companies don't pay principal, interest, or management fees. NFL franchises appreciate in value at incredible rates. Where's the growth potential in a single family home? If there is money to be made, PE is on it. Plus there is the cool factor. I would bet a 10% stake gets some PE big wigs a lot of perks and access. Maybe Blackrock gets a day with the Lombardi if their team wins? -
NFL feeding itself to the sharks (Private Equity)
Jauronimo replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand that private equity, Blackrock, and our financial system in general represents the boogey man for many people but in my experience of providing services for many a PE deal I see quite a few transactions where the target is a company with serious growth potential in need of the access to capital and stewardship from a PE partner to take things to the next level. Of course I also see the deals where PE buys a floundering company. Usually the first to get fired are the old management team. These are companies that are usually dead men walking. The idea of corporate raiders enacting hostile takeovers and scrapping healthy companies for parts is highly inconsistent with my nearly 20 years of transaction services. Can't do much raiding with a minority stake in an entity where pretty much any major decision requires the approval of 31 other owners. This is all about owners giving themselves an opportunity to de-risk the fact that a majority of their wealth is tied up in a franchise and get an infusion of cash when needed.
