I have said it in other threads, and I'll say it here.... next up is Alex Carrington, Parker's other client currently on our roster, time to bench him now and cut your losses while he has yet to develop into a good player. Let someone else grow into our system.

I am pretty confident they aren't going to fold or back down and play hard, but this one isn't going to be close next Sunday no matter who's QBing the team. It's going to take 3-4 games before they even get comfortable in their new systems on both sides of the ball, and that's the reality of having everything brand new in the NFL. I'm not trying to be doom and gloom, but I have tempered my expectations for at least the 1st quarter of the season.

It wouldn't from an offensive standpoint, and not much from a defensive standpoint. Since both QBs are extremely raw rookies, you just throw a lot of blitz packages at them and make them run, or throw too early in routes.

haha no... I like the team's name, I just couldn't believe Rex Grossman looked like a quality QB in that game... And sort of in the same vein of my comments, one of my friends here who happens to be a Steelers fan refers to the Bills as the Washington Generals... BasketBall fans would get the meaning behind that one...

Both have been cut... I'm not sure we're deep enough anywhere to have our castoffs picked up by anyone outside of the CFL.

Too bad the defense looked downright abysmal against the Washington Grossmans, otherwise I'd have a little more optimism about the upcoming season.

I am excited about the future of this team, but was still not expecting much this season, to the tune of 5-11, so nothing has changed for me. the team still has defensive issues for some ungodly reason, so until that changes, my expectations have not wavered.

If the defense performs like they did against the all mighty Washington Grossmans, this will be the most accurate statement in all of TSW history.

There are game situations that will call for a runner like Freddie, and when that happens, don't be surprised if Marrone and hackett let the hot hand run, I would. Freddie has the ability to take over a game, and if he does, go with it, and pepper in CJ. When CJ is hot it will easily be the right thing to do to let him run. It will be fun to see these 2 guys run this year, and I was happy to see CJ come back in to score, I hope that's an indication of how tough the kid really is, even if it was just a cut.

None of those names surprise me in the least. We weren't 6-10 because they were great...

I believe we went 0-4 twice during our superbowl run... someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm very confident we went 0-4 at least once.

I kind of felt like Marrone was giving Smith one more really good look, and probably will keep Hogan and Easley, going with 7 receivers on the roster. My guess is that one of the 2 I mentioned will play more on special teams.
