  1. I'd really just like to see both guys have an equal opportunity to play, and if one guy is hot, see the ball more. If next week CJ seems unstoppable, leave him in till he pukes. I want to be sure people don't interpret my original post as a call to see Freddie take over, but rather leave him IN the game IF he's clearly the more productive guy that day...
  2. I was watching the game yesterday thinking, Why is he not playing more when he clearly has the hot hand? I have been a staunch supporter of CJ Spiller right from the beginning, including some heated support of the theory that he was never a luxury pick, but yesterday, just wasn't his day. When this is the case, and a player is just getting shut down, they need to play Freddie as if he were the starter, he is very capable of playing at an elite level in this league, and looked very dangerous on the field, EVEN at 32 years old. The guy can flat out ball, and like it or not, Hackett would be very wise to run him till he pukes as well. It may not allow CJ to get his 2000 yards, but I guarantee they'll both win games for the Bills if a more democratic approach to the position is used. It's as if Hackett was a Bizarro Gailey, ignoring the hot hand and sticking with CJ just because. I hope this doesn't continue all season.
  3. I personally enjoyed all the "Biggest bust in Bills History" threads as well....
  4. I second this, and motion to put it to a vote for their removal. Make no mistake, russ brandon is not your savior, he is a well trained Ralph Wilson Jr., Jr. And Ralph Wilson Jr., Jr. is cheap.
  5. He doesn't have that asshat Eugene Parker for an agent, so our chances of re-signing him are promising, and worth the effort.
  6. ahhhhh... hope. It's amazing how much of it we have for our city despite the seemingly relentless opposition to anything new or revitalization effort there seems to be in local and state government.
  7. Those are Jim Kelly's debut numbers against the NY Jest in 1986..
  8. shocking news.... I didn't see this coming.... no way this could have been predicted.... right out of left field...
  9. I have said it in other threads, and I'll say it here.... next up is Alex Carrington, Parker's other client currently on our roster, time to bench him now and cut your losses while he has yet to develop into a good player. Let someone else grow into our system.
  10. I can't argue with the rankings until this team earns a better spot.
  11. Doomed?????? Too much???
  12. supremely entertaining... RGIII was also my favorite, followed by that goofy look on Peyton's face.
  13. Maybin, hands down, just because of that stupid song he commissioned, coupled with his holdout. That also qualifies him as biggest douche in the past decade as well.
  14. Nix never produced the baby... he instead showed us the Whaley.
  15. the guy barely paid attention when he was here, I'm not too sure what he could possibly tell them.
  16. I still blame the curse on President McKinley.
  17. I am pretty confident they aren't going to fold or back down and play hard, but this one isn't going to be close next Sunday no matter who's QBing the team. It's going to take 3-4 games before they even get comfortable in their new systems on both sides of the ball, and that's the reality of having everything brand new in the NFL. I'm not trying to be doom and gloom, but I have tempered my expectations for at least the 1st quarter of the season.
  18. It wouldn't from an offensive standpoint, and not much from a defensive standpoint. Since both QBs are extremely raw rookies, you just throw a lot of blitz packages at them and make them run, or throw too early in routes.
  19. haha no... I like the team's name, I just couldn't believe Rex Grossman looked like a quality QB in that game... And sort of in the same vein of my comments, one of my friends here who happens to be a Steelers fan refers to the Bills as the Washington Generals... BasketBall fans would get the meaning behind that one...
  20. Both have been cut... I'm not sure we're deep enough anywhere to have our castoffs picked up by anyone outside of the CFL.
  21. Too bad the defense looked downright abysmal against the Washington Grossmans, otherwise I'd have a little more optimism about the upcoming season.
  22. I am excited about the future of this team, but was still not expecting much this season, to the tune of 5-11, so nothing has changed for me. the team still has defensive issues for some ungodly reason, so until that changes, my expectations have not wavered.
  23. I'm not expecting that to happen in any way...
