I prefer “curator”…because most of the content on here is art. -

<Hidden Message> Augie is a 93 yr old fella at Whispering Oaks Home in Gainesville, FL. Sending this as a private message so we don’t wake him. Just play along with his memories. His days are….a finite sum. Anyway, I agree with you. Let him ramble. <End hidden message> -

Was going to ask the same. “Marie” on Everyone Loves Raymond was hilarious. -
If he wins NFL Comeback Player of the Year you’ll remember this day.

Lamar Jackson as TV analyst? It’s logical.
BringBackFergy replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m at a point where I’ve lost faith in some members of this board. Basically, some of you are saying he can’t be a broadcaster or an analyst because he doesn’t speak as well as, say, Bob Costas or Brent Gumble. https://www.lines.com/nfl/players/lamar-jackson-19781#:~:text=Lamar Jackson earned a degree,in Madden 20 video game. Lamar studied communications!!! He can improve. And he wouldn’t be the main host, he’d be as good as any of the blonde dolts on the sidelines who talk about nonsensical crap during a broadcast. Did you ever hear Tony Siragusa on the sidelines? How about Michael Irvin in studio? Don’t ever say Lamar can’t do it. The main point of this thread is to demonstrate Lamar could make just as much money over 10 years broadcasting with a network as he will make playing 6 or 7 as QB…and his head/knees will remain in tact. -

Last time I checked, America is the land of opportunity. Also, did you know Lamar has a college degree? Majored in communications. He obviously knew he might one day want to try broadcasting. Nothing wrong with taking that shot now while he’s one of the stars of the league. -

He has lived in the heads of most talk show hosts for the last 6 months. He would be a huge ratings draw for any network broadcasting NFL games. Even at $10 million per year x 10 years in the booth or sidelines, he’s way ahead financially than playing 5 more years and retiring with a broken body. Not out of the realm of possibilities. -

What if he said “I retire”? -
Think about it - He’s been shopping his wares but it seems the NFL GM’s know either he is injury prone or all the teams have a QB1 in mind. Lamar has to know this and he gave it a good shot. So I’m wondering if he’s considering a broadcasting/communications sabbatical to let his body heal. He’s an NFL MVP, playoff QB with several accolades. He could provide some sound in-depth analysis on FOX or CBS. Even Amazon. Not play by play, but maybe on field commentary or halftime, booth analysis or in studio. He would get signed to a 3 yr / $60 million broadcasting contract in a heartbeat. He’s young enough to heal up while doing game analysis and then re-enter the NFL and fund his retirement. Just a thought.
