I was just going to post this. Thx Everyone else is over analyzing what Beane said this morning, but Pat and Jim congratulated him on handling it properly. Beane is a smart dude. His comments on “Moving the Chains” were great. Jeremy White and Jerry Sullivan want click bait.

Another Dave story Went fishing with him in FL on an inlet which had brackish water…mostly salt water. The “pass” had snook, mackerel and salt water catfish (which have really bad stingers on their spine). I brought some bagels and cream cheese and we were throwing frozen shrimp at the snook, etc. Three young guys were fishing near us and one caught a catfish. Well, the young fella was somewhat “buzzed” (at 10am) and decided to put his bare foot on the fish to unhook it. Bam!! The fish flipped and the dorsal spear shot into the kids’ foot and then the fish flipped again and hit his thigh. Dave and I tried to help this kid as best we could. Seriously in pain. His buddies tried to help too. Another boat got him and took him over to his condo. Dave and I started saying how sorry we felt…then after a few minutes he started saying “Damn kids…what was he thinking” etc. We laughed quite a bit about it because the kid would certainly recover, just dumb luck. I caught one or two fish. He caught a few as well. I told him I had to take off to meet my family. He said he’d stick around for a bit. Said our goodbyes and planned another trip. I get to my ride and while driving, Dave caught an f’ing shark. Good size. I have a pic but it’s too large to attach. But that always impressed me. He stuck with it until the challenge ended. Much like life. Go get em, Dave!
