  1. I meant “tame” compared to some of the “I’m outta here” and “&$!#%” that night
  2. My head was spinning that night. There was so much info out there, leaks and smokescreens, I had no idea who we would pick.
  3. No you’re not. I was excited for TJ Graham!!
  4. Admittedly, I know very little about football scouting. I suppose Beane and McDermott are better at evaluating players and their “fit” with the team. If they want to go fly fishing, I can help them with that.
  5. Sorry for your loss dib. Very tough.
  6. It’s kinda fun to go back and review the analysis of our team and selection of Josh Allen on Draft night. Some members are still here...others literally packed up their things and left. And I’m not targeting Gunner here. He’s a smart fella and I respect his analysis. His reaction is tame compared to some in this archived thread. It’s still very early to judge these five QB’s but Josh Allen is doing about as good as could be expected (high floor, high ceiling) in his development.
  7. Sal. Greg Cosell. Cover 1. Sirius XM NFL channel are very informative.
  8. Joe B. has a “proclivity” to say things like “Allen was really good” or “Beasley was super consistent”. He loves the generalities. I skim his stuff.
  9. Was this post in the form of a sonnet?
  10. Josh Norman is going the way of AB. OBJ to follow.
  11. I’m soooo tempted to switch over to QVC and watch some lady sell pots and pans
  12. I haven’t seen a throat punch like that since Dalton took out the larynx in “Road House”. Then again, no one is as tough as Dalton.
  13. The NFL brain trust figured the Browns should get 5 or 6 prime time games and the Bills just one. Well done Roger. Watching this game is like trying to wade through a @Cripple Creek post.
  14. Happy Birthday Shady...wherever you are.
  15. No way. One of my favorite players.
  16. I get FIFO, you get LIFO
  17. We have a lower than 40% chance to win and a greater than 50% chance of another major injury...when I look at those odds, I play it safe every time. Keep our players healthy for this next stretch of games. We take the Pats later in the season after they suffer a few losses and we win the AFC East outright. This is so clear to me but others seem to hang out hope for a miracle. Soooo frustrating
  18. You’re a liar if you ever said you wouldn’t want to pat Dawson Knox’s junk.
  19. My point is, we don’t need this win. We can still win the AFC East by splitting with the Pats and, at the same time, have an extra Bye week. We’re playing virtual chess here PatsFan while you’re playing Toss Across.
  20. Let's say we did forfeit this game, if the Pats were to go undefeated for the rest of the season guess what? There would be an asterix on their record. It would read "19-0* Footnote: The Buffalo Bills forfeited Week 4 game and, therefore, the Pats are not truly Undefeated"
  21. Like I said, I'm spitballin' here and maintain that we would do better in the future (health wise and mental acuity) by letting the Pats fly home with an empty win.
  22. I didn't say I wanted to be in this predicament...Does anyone really want to forfeit games? No. But with our undefeated record, knowing we can split with the Pats, this seems to be the best way to come out of this unscathed and still maintain the health of our unit.
  23. So a forfeit makes sense then? I agree
  24. I don't believe there's a rule in the NFL that prohibits forfeiting a game. Albeit there is a negative connotation to "forfeit" but I look at it like in Revenge of the Nerds where the nerds just let go of the rope and the jocks won the tug-of-war contest. On Saturday, we issue a statement that due to injury we will be conceding a win in favor of the Pats. You might say "Absolutely not!!" but there's a few reasons to do so: 1) Will we really win this game? I'm putting our chance of success at 20% 2) Injuries are racking up: Singletary, Horrible Harry, CB's, Nsekhe, even Gore's cleats need a rebuild. 3) We need to keep our specialized offensive schemes under wraps for the late season game vs. the Pats. Let's limit the film that we give them now in favor of a more unique offensive scheme later on when the game really counts. I'd be in favor of going 1 and 1 vs the Pats this season, how about you? 4) By forfeiting this week, we get ) yds passing allowed and 0 yds rushing allowed averaged into our defensive ranking...that would put us at #2 or #3...I'll take that... 5) Fans can still show up to the game on Sunday, tailgate, go in the stadium and watch the Pats warm up, but it will be a relaxing environment...no stress. We're 3-1. Just spit ballin' here but it makes sense to me to preserve our defensive ranking, our winning record and get healthier for our next four games.
