  1. You'll have a good time with it. It's not something that you learn quick and I still make many, many mistakes. I'd suggest one of your first purchases should be a set of Lithium Ion tools. Get the set that has the impact driver, screw driver and the circular saw. 18 volt or the 20 volt are the best. If you quit woodworking you'll still have all the tools for other things. Next, go to YouTube and watch a few videos on "making your own workbench". You don't need to make anything fancy but it's fun to do and you'll love the end product because you made it yourself (rather than buying it). I just made mine with pop-up bench dogs, an inlay vice and and this is the one that is currently sitting in my converted carriage house/shop. The bench should be big enough to handle any larger projects you may make in the future (for instance, if you make a bookcase, you'll need enough room to lay it on its back and tack on trim, etc) After you get the basic tools (above), then you can look for table saw, drill press, jointer, planer, etc. Like suggested above by others, go to your local Craigslist and search for "shop tools" or specific items. Also, I always search for "lumber". Many times, old rough sawn lumber is worth it especially if clear. Try not to buy woodworking lumber from big stores. Look for a local sawmill or buy from estate cleanout, etc. Have fun and message me if you have questions.
  2. So heart-wrenching. Prayers for peace and future family for the Whites.
  3. @Gugny Sorry about your bad experience. My seats were ok and the folks who sat near me were tolerable. All Bills fans and they shared beers with us. There might be some seats right near us next year.
  4. Thx for finding that. Didn’t see that film.
  5. At least agree the flag was thrown at time of Josh’s hit. There was no other “yellow indicator” of a flag BEFORE the hit to Josh. Therefore, it was a phantom friggin flag (as usual). Not to mention the two or three “picked up flags” for face masks and pick play that would have been penalties in any other game.
  6. I noticed how you didn’t reference the flag thrown at time of hit to Josh but no other flag or replay for a hold. Give it up. Nonsense
  7. Absolutely not. Show us. The flag was thrown after the hit on Josh. Wasn’t until after Josh was down was there a reference to a hold. Also, knocking QB out vs a hold is offsetting? Ridiculous.
  8. So if there was a “hold” it should have been called 5 seconds before the hit on Josh. Did anyone even see a hold. So frustrating!! Typical BS!!
  9. What if we could get AJ Green. Just throwing it out there.
  10. I wonder if they had their bran muffin yet?
  11. Have fun CGF!!
  12. Let me guess. Your anger is attributable to the $100 Antonio Brown jersey you bought two weeks ago?
  13. No. Leave him be. He can whimper off the Pats bandwagon soon enough.
  14. X + X = Tom Brady (Genetics problem)
  15. I bet he doesn’t give a ***** if that steak is reverse seared.
  16. Off topic, but try making some homemade sausage. Grab some pork butt on sale and pork fat. Grind with some spices. Buy some casings. Fill them. Sautee in a fry pan with garlic, capers, olive oil, olives, diced tomato. Toss in pasta. Bottle of wine. And watch football. Heaven!!
  17. Where do you get your sausage?
  18. We still have a butcher in our town. He’s taught me quite a bit about sausage making, curing, smoking, etc. His ground chuck is amazing. In addition, he makes a ground bacon burger which adds fat and flavor to the ground chuck. We’re in a town of about 4000 so, yes, he’s old school and does a great job. Would prefer to pay him $15 for three pounds of really tasty burger than $10 for bland burger at grocery store. Same goes for his sausage, steaks and smoked pork chops. Love the small town butchers.
  19. Screw it...put it on Jumbotron and pay the dumb fine if need be.
  20. Do that over on @mrags steak...leave mine alone.
  21. Just a quick note to say once again: I don't think Josh Allen is a "franchise QB" yet...I don't want this thread to come off as an "I told you so" (because I had no horse in this race on draft night) nor do I want it to appear Josh is "better" than any of the other QB's taken that year. The purpose of this thread was to re-visit our collective "hot takes" from an important date in our history as a franchise. I also don't want this thread to be the kiss of death for Allen vs. the Pats so I will go ahead and project that Tom Brady will out perform Allen by 2 TD's and 170 yds. There, I feel better now.
  22. Certainly would be a helluva story if he succeeds considering he had not one Div 1 scholarship offer and played JuCo football for a year. Kind of a Kurt Warner type backstory. We’ll see over the next few years.
