  1. He had his wife sitting outside in a fur coat during that freezing playoff game in KC when he had the means to get her in a suite. I already knew then what kind of guy he was.
  2. This is a good post. You'll get downvoted because the average fan is a slave to their emotions and will make this place insufferable all offseason. We lost a heavyweight slugging match the other night. It happens. So the negatives become magnified. The thought process should be....who do we need to get rid of that's holding us back. The emotional fans say McDermott, but I don't think that's the answer. Bass needs to go, Gabe needs to go, and we need to look around for OCs besides Brady. Sign him if there's nobody better, but we should shop around. Another poster mentioned a new system for Allen that's far different from the Daboll system. I think that's a great idea and the first place we should look. Start adding top notch offensive talent and these close losses will turn into comfortable wins.
  3. We win a Super Bowl this year and the nation will see his positives and award him an MVP next year. Rules of haters: they ignore macro success and pull down on micro failures. Nobody in the history of Earth didn’t have micro failures. The point is they overcome them. When people, and people who should be on our side, refuse to recognize that, there’s a serious problem and they should be ignored.
  4. You’re nitpicking. Ignoring the macro for the micro. Allen was unanimous MVP this year in a rational world. All the arguments against are BS.
  5. Excited for Allen to win so he can shut up the Chiefs narrative. “Realists” never admit they were wrong. They just go silent and move on to the next negative narrative. “Never won a road playoff game.” ”Never made the Super Bowl.” ”Never won a Super Bowl.” Let’s kill every last narrative in the next 4 weeks.
  6. “Oh God, anybody but Allen”. “Why?” ”Uh uh…. He’s a turnover machine!” ”Whatever”
  7. Something else funny. The first half of the year the media was obsessed with Jalen Hurts and the tush push and how he had so many rushing TDs. It was one of his big arguments for MVP. Hurts slowed down and Allen ended up tying Hurts for the NFL RECORD for rushing TDs by a QB in a season and not a peep. Nobody brought up rushing TDs anymore. No longer did rushing TDs matter for MVP. Allen passed Steve Young for 2nd all time for QB rushing TDs with 50 this year and IT WASNT EVEN MENTIONED on the broadcast. Allen is going to be the first QB to have 100 rushing TDs and nobody is talking about it. I swear something weird is going on and has been going on for 6 years with the media and sports fans. Something about Allen man. I don’t know, it’s like everyone sees his greatness but doesn’t want to admit it. People seem to go quiet and uncomfortable when you start talking about his greatness.
  8. It was nice after the Cowboys game when there was nothing to nitpick and all the threads were short. If we win a SB this year I feel like a lot of “fans” will never come back to this forum again. At least until our next downturn cycle. But even then, they would have less ammo since we could always point to our ring.
  9. We blow them out this week and narratives start to flip. At the end of the day, people make up their minds during deep playoff runs and Super Bowls when everyone comes over and talks in superficial narratives.
  10. A lot of people doubled down on McDermott after the Broncos/Eagles loss and the Dunne article. Heard some very emotional displays on this board against him. What he's done is silence those people in ways that make things awkward. As we continue winning this year, starting with the Chiefs this weekend, I will be monitoring some of those posters to see when they admit they were wrong. Will they continue moving the goal posts? Will they subtly set McDermott up for failure by making a loss to the Chiefs seem "unthinkable". If we win the Super Bowl, will they still secretly want him gone? I wish I was joking.
  11. There's something in the air. Not only will we win, I think we go all the way this year.
  12. One of those people doesn’t have to try so hard to make fun of themselves. The Golden Globes joke reaction showed her true colors in that regard.
  13. The second you ignore the narratives and look at the situation for yourself, the more it’s feeling like the Chiefs are due for an ass beating.
  14. If there is ever a game where we shock the sports world, it’s this one. 42-13 Bills.
  15. We won 3 of the last 4 games. Should have won the last playoff game. Mahomes cracked last loss. All of this on the road. Guys, don’t be surprised if the Bills whoop them. I think we’re due.
  16. What stood out to me more were no interceptions or bad QB/WR miscommunication plays with Gabe out. Only one bad drop by Knox. The fact that we don’t miss a step AND weren’t hurt by negative Davis plays, tells me we’re better off without him. Shakir might be the guy.
  17. They can’t comprehend this because that’s not the national narrative.
  18. Lots of haters on Reddit saying the same thing. It looked like a juke to me.
  19. His day of glory is coming. His first 6 years will be remembered for what they are. Greatness.
  20. Well luckily the guys on the other team are human beings also, so they'll need to deal with it too.
  21. Weird how the refs just stopped the Rams momentum with a ticky tack holding call, then killed all further momentum by stopping play for literally no reason. The down and time were correct. Then they miss a defensive holding call. Suddenly the game is probably over.
  22. It’s only going to hurt worse after we win the Super Bowl. Karmas a B word. Don’t mess with the chosen ones.
  23. It’s all obvious who the best player in the NFL is once you ignore the surface level stuff. If we win a SB this year, all the narratives will immediately change and all the things you note will come in the forefront. “OMG did you see what Allen just did? Who cares about the 1 pick he threw that was tipped, did you see what he did the next drive?” It’s a matter of time. During SB media week, people need extra content to talk about. That’s when the stories will dig deeper on Allen and the truth will come to light. Honestly, just making it to the SB would be enough for narratives to permanently change. Even with a SB loss, as long as he doesn’t become a INT machine and plays a respectable game, the narratives will change.
