  1. Probably true. It didn't help that he had two sub par coaches is Marrone and Rex. I don't think most GMs would succeed with those two.
  2. I don't think this is true at all. I don't remember a quote like this from Whaley, or anywhere else. Where did you get this?
  3. Incomplete. Let's see how he does against NE then Tenn.
  4. I think the NFL league office wants to keep NE and Brady going as long as possible. The other teams and fans are certainly tired of the NE narrative. Pats will still get the calls going their way.
  5. Belichick in his pressure said good things, gave the Bills props, etc. At the end of the day, I doubt he's too worried about the Bills overall, and certainly not scared or losing sleep over the game.
  6. Dallas, easily. They get too much attention. I also like seeing the Redskins lose since Dan Snyder is a fool.
  7. Shannon Sharpe always sounded like he's talking with a mouth full of marbles. That's his opinion, and it is shared by many other national media and pundits. Win and this talk goes away, pretty simple.
  8. Wondering why this is. Receiver isn't a pressing need at this point. They should be working out DTs and DEs.
  9. I don't think it is as much of his age (21) as it is experience (barely in his second year). One would have to believe that McD wants Edmunds to cover the middle/slot, stop the run, and rush the passer on occasion. Right now, Edmunds is good at covering the slot receiver and TE. He looks to need more work with stopping the run; if the DL doesn't hit the back first, there is a good chance the RB is making it to the secondary for a big gain. I haven't seen him rush the passer much, though that is probably more a function of scheme - Frazier doesn't blitz a whole lot. I was also hoping (expecting) that Edmunds would have bulked up a little this past off season. Doesn't look like he has done this. If Edmunds is still struggling against the run and shedding blockers by season's end, I'm in the camp that he should be moved to OLB and Beane/McD should look for another MLB - either FA or draft.
  10. I know. My post was a joke.
  11. I mean getting beat in coverage. He was getting abused.
  12. This is a tough loss, Harry seemed to be making strides to being at least a solid DT that isn't a liability. Not surprising that Oliver is a little slow to develop; the level of NFL C and G are well above what he faced at U of Houston. He'll need most of the rest of this season to develop. As far as going outside the org to find another DT; who does Carolina have on their roster where they're waiting for a sucker to take off their hands ala Star and Benjamin? Absolutely agree with your point about edge/pressure. It seems that a pass rush is secondary to McD and Frazier; DBs are a priority with both being former DBs in their playing days. If so, that philosophy is very flawed.
  13. As a matter of fact... I get your reference, well played
  14. If Tre lights it up with two picks, shuts down his receiver, and the Bills win, sure he'll get the call. If the Bills lose, especially badly, doubt Tre gets the call...even with two picks.
  15. And that is why Kace Keenum is Kace Keenum. Huge mistake.
  16. Tre will need to do a lot better against NE than he did against Cincy.
  17. Jay Gruden won't make it to their bye week (Week 10, 11/10). Snyder is itching to get rid of him.
  18. The Redskins aren't quite that bad. They'll win a game or two, the Dolphins have no hope as of right now.
  19. The Redskins are terrible. I really don't understand why they get a prime time game.
  20. Yeah, you really got me
  21. Edmunds strikes me as a better OLB. He is good in coverage, but still struggling with MLB responsibilities.
  22. From your keyboard to McDermott and Frazier's ears
  23. This Sunday will be dependent on Josh not making mistakes and McD and his staff coming up with a good game plan. They can't do what they did against the Bengals and expect to beat the Pats.
  24. Yep. Pass rush needs to be better. Dalton had way too much time on too many occasions yesterday.
