Few opportunities to beat two legends...
Happy replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with this. I believe the NFL offices are still enamored with Brady, Belichick, and the Pats. Why? Because they bring attention to the NFL, and attention means viewers; viewers means revenue. The 31 other teams and their fans are sick of the Patriots. Only problem is few of these teams are in a position to do anything about it. -

I doubt the players, or even the coaching staff, is thinking this way. The Pats are reigning SB champs, which every team wants to knock off; plus for the Bills they're a division rival. It probably doesn't go any further than this. -

That billboard sucks. Ranch is much better than blue cheese on wings, pizza, salad (especially chef), etc.- 107 replies

Well put. I want to see the players go toe to toe with the Pats, and I especially want to see that our coaching staff doesn't get outsmarted and outclassed by Belichick. I don't expect to win, but I expect it to be close. If not, I have to start wondering if "the process" applies to McD and staff, who my not be better than average coaches.

Thanks, Interesting. I'm pretty sure I recall some of our Pats fan visitors deny this rift. The source I mentioned wasn't a PR person with "official" statement, but rather an unnamed source within the Pats organization.

I think they overcame mistakes and coming out in the 3rd quarter flat to finishing strong in the 4th quarter. At the very least, this Bills team is resilient. I don't think they played "down" to the Jets, Giants, or Bengals level; the Jets and Bengals aren't terrible, and should be around .500 teams. The Giants game was the most decisive win and the Bills defense did a good job with keeping Barkley in check.

Defer in the 1st quarter. Receive the kickoff to start the second half.

I thought I remember hearing that someone from the Patriots organization deny this rumor about Kraft overruling Belichick on the Jimmy G trade. I'm also fairly certain that some of Pats fans that frequent this board don't believe it either. Maybe @PatsFanNH could chime in on this.

I officially believe that the Bills will win this weekend!
Happy replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to think we'll win, but I doubt it because I don't think we can stop the Pats short timing passes. I do see us stopping their run. -
No, I don't recall that one.

Bill Belichick does not use Analytics
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe it; he's been around and successful for so long that any situation which arises he instinctively knows what to do. That and the illegal film helps; plus the refs give him beneficial calls. -
The thing is, Kraft never interferes in football ops, this might be the first time that I remember. Belichick went too far with AB and Kraft had to pull the plug, otherwise the league would have.

TNF 8:20pm : Eagles (1-2) @ Packers (3-0)

I see why LaFleur would go for the TD on 4th and goal. Pack D has been struggling tonight and has shown no signs of stopping Philly. -

Incidental contact. Obviously the replay official felt the same way. It was a good non reversal. -

I disagree. The DB did not interfere with the WR. The DB has as much of a right to the ball as the WR. There was some incidental contact, but the contact did not prevent the WR from making a play. It is extremely difficult to play pass defense in the NFL anymore. -

Yeah, I have no idea how Rodgers got that pass off accurately -

A Whaley guy who didn't fit in Rex's scheme. I agree, Bradham would be fine in McD's defense. -

Yeah, tonight is their worst showing this season -

Mike Pettine has been doing a good job so far. The Pack's D has been better so far than it has been for years. Only down by 7 so we'll see if they can put the brakes on Philly. -

I didn't miss that and remember that quote. I took that as Whaley was being a team player with new owners, one of which actually chose Rex...I believe the name is Kim. Russ Brandon told the Pegulas if you like him, don't let him leave the building. How did you miss that?
