  1. I seem to recall Cameron has had concussion issues. Good to Very good athlete, but I'd hate to put $$ into signing him.
  2. I'm getting to the point that I don't care about what Thurman tweets. His famous "It's on like a MOFO." And what ever happened? .......... <crickets>........ He uses it as a form of passive aggression. Kinda like, "I know something, but can't tell you" Look, I think we all recognize he's an insider and he probably does know a lot more than most. But, if you know something -- tell us. If you can't tell us, don't say anything. How about this Thurman, "Say what you mean, and mean what you say!"
  3. Yup. I feel a "I praise you 24/7 and this is how you do me? You expect me to learn from this?... I'll never forget this" kinda quote.
  4. Did you see the picture on the Jumbo-tron( or whatever it is called) swaying back on forth as the kicker is looking up at the posts?
  5. Broncos went all in this year. I heard on Sirius this afternoon that they have 8 starters who have contracts up. At the very least Manning will certainly be asked to rework his deal.
  6. I remember that play. This was the height of the Bills 'run' of 0 for the 70's against the 'fins. There was a petition in circulation in Buffalo to have the NFL fire Bergman. I still hold a grudge against Bergman. When I tell the story I say the name 'Bergman' with clenched teeth. My jaw is sore just typing this.
  7. I am also conflicted. He was the face of the franchise early on. And then....... I like the idea of keeping his name off any new stadium. Is there a compromise? Keep the #32 up, but remove the name. Bills fans know of his importance. #32 will always be the Juice to those of us old enough to remember him as a player. But i admit, seeing his name up there does kinda bother me.
  8. Our 2nd round pick was viewed by many in the draft as a late 1st round pick. Again I'll ask the question. Did a guy (with a background as a former O-lineman) fail to develop the talent he was provided or did he not see that he/they were not as reported? If it's the first, then that is not the GMs problem, that's a coaching issue. If it's the second, then many more people than the GM was fooled AND then so too was the coach for not informing his boss that CK was destined to be a bust.
  9. He drafted 3 OL men. He signed a G as a FA. I blame Marrone for either (a) not properly developing the talent he was given. or (b) as a former OL man, and OL coach, not being able to see that some of these guys were not as advertised. In Doug I trust.
  10. In the NFL I see Kelly as a guy who sticks around for a few years, then moves on. He's so successful as a college coach because his players cycle through every 3-4 years. If he were to sign with Buffalo, he'd be a short timer. IMO, Whaley is here for the long haul. I like the job he's done overall. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. The thinking in hiring a young talented guy, is he brings stability to the organization for years to come. With everything going on recently, we need stability. If signing Kelly would mean losing Whaley,....Well, I would not trade Whaley for Kelly.
  11. It's been a PR disaster for the NFL, no doubt about that. And yeah, things could have and should have been handled better by the commish. But, if I'm one of the other 31 NFL owners, I understand that under Goodell's tenure, the Bills just sold for 1.4 BILLION. Think about that. A team in one of the smallest markets, with a 40 year old stadium, sold for a record 1.4 BILLION. The value of every other team just went up by hundreds of millions of dollars. Goodell is going to take some heat - and rightly so. But taking the long view, the NFL revenue stream has never been healthier. The issues facing the NFL are not just football issues they are sociatal issues. And the NFL does need to get it's head around that. But no owner is going to want to postpone a vote on the Bills ownership and risk losing out on a 1.4 billion dollar sale.
  12. How good is to hear the announcers say " the Bills are now in first place in the AFC East! " whoooooooooooo!
  13. Marone: " Goodwin said what on twitter!?" Brandon: " I'm gonna slap that punk " Whaley: "With only 140 letters you mange to piss off the fan base? #thestruggleisreal"
  14. Great. Here comes my favorite non sports related sports quote: " I just want to put this behind me and focus on the upcoming season." Whenever I hear that line, I want subtitles at the bottom of the screen to say, "Yes, I'm an immature ^ss, and I will continue to be an ^ss by refusing to answer any questions about my moronic behavior."
  15. I was on board until I read this article. I don't want Congel anywhere near my team. http://pro32.ap.org/...plans-buy-bills "A person says Golisano, the former Buffalo Sabres owner and failed gubernatorial candidate from Rochester, New York, also has had talks with developer Scott Congel to be as his partner in the potential ownership group." If you're from Rochester, you have to be familiar with Congel as having failed to develop the Medley Center. http://en.wikipedia....i/Medley_Centre "An article in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle in November 2012 noted: "no apparent work has been done since he (Congel) bought the property in 2007."[10]"
  16. Video (with improved audio) is king today. Every word is recorded, along with every facial nuance. Remember when Gilmore didn't smile enough when we drafted him? And didn't we have someone post a few weeks ago that DW looked like a stoner? I find this new regime to be so open and honest in their interviews. No more bland statements. He actually tell you what he thinks. I really like the guy.
  17. According to ABC News, "they had to pay out of pocket for their $650 uniform." Honestly, does that look like a $650 uniform?
  18. "Unknown Linebacker Is Now Projected To Be The Top Pick Of The NFL Draft" If he's projected to be the top pick in the draft, he isn't unknown!
  19. Dammit. Wilson will outlive anybody who is even remotely interested in keeping the Bills in Buffalo. Live long Ralph, live long. Be well Jim, be well.
