Christ people, Donnie Henderson looks like one of the worst DCs on the planet. He was run out of NY after the Jets finished 32nd against the run. Then presided over the 27th ranked Lions defense for Rod Marinelli's 3-13 Lions. I was shocked and disappointed he was even on the staff. If they make him the DC, I am expecting the absolute worst.

I'm on the other side Coach. Russ and the Marketeers have been selling the sizzle for too long with little results come September. I like the measured approach and see it as different....finally. Plus....well built teams can show urgency. Teams like the Bills can only show desperation as every hole cannot feasibly be filled in March.

Except for Pro Football Focus, which had Whitner as the 5th best cover SS with 15 or so passes defensed…. It's interesting how successful players like Lynch, Whitner, Winfield, Clements, D. Edwards all "sucked" as soon as they left Buffalo. There can be little debate that Buffalo let their most talented players leave over the last 10 years (with little in return) and struggled to replace them in the draft. That is why the Bills must sign Byrd.

Only Byrd and Carpenter should be offered contracts before the draft.

Don't settle for what the Bills are. Let's not play the justify game. They are a 6-10 team for the 3rd straight year. The Seahawks are better everywhere. EVERYWHERE! They have 4 consistent playmakers on defense in Wagner, Sherman, Chancellor and Thomas and that's not even getting into their pass rushers. They have an excellent QB who clearly "gets it", a dominant running game, under rated WRs and good special teams. Do the Bills show flashes. Yes. Are they consistent anywhere? You tell me.

The thing is…with these modern stadiums with giant TVs, I end up watching the electronics more than the field. So people's focus is all over the stadium and not just on the play. I have mixed feelings about that. But, I guess the horse is already out of that barn.

I have the mind of a cornerback and I just don't remember. What was the Bills defensive talent level when he was DC? I tend to think good players make the coach, but I just don't remember anything about Edwards….good or bad.

Seattle invested in their Oline and it paid off for Lynch after they developed and gelled as a unit. Who or what did Lynch run behind in Bflo?
