  1. Don't read anything into what happens around a parents death. It's a fog. I guarantee Stevie's head is just not on football. Even though I'm not his most ardent supporter, I'm ok with that.
  2. Fred. NFL demands consistency first. He's that. The only thing consistent with CJ is his post 20 yard run limp (I jest).
  3. Funny how the coaching decisions, the refs and injuries become less relevant when the team wins….
  4. IMHO - When much of your O-line is getting blown off the ball and you're not sure of your franchise QB, you NEVER need WRs. Oh…and they're a huge contract, a #2 and two #3s into WRs already. A WR will not make thee difference with this team.
  5. Boy, that is a great breakdown of CJ Spiller and I agree with it completely. He's like the antithesis of Stephen Jackson.
  6. Don't you want to see evidence of your QB being THEE guy for the future? I'm way more interested in seeing that. See a playmaker emerge. There's nothing to root for in a loss. They can get a TE or a LG anywhere in the draft.
  7. My only problem with CJ is that I know after a 6+ yard run, he's coming out the next play. It's 50-50 whether he's showing signs of being injured. I would love it if he would sack up, man up and get pissed off for being removed. That being said, I think the O-line is one of the worst O-lines in recent memory. From game to game, quarter to quarter, they're like a box of chocolates.
  8. Football wise…those are the worst helmets ever. Someone introduce the front half designer to the back half designer.
  9. Today concerned me. Yeah, he's a rookie and yeah he rebounded to have a decent game overall, but what with his accuracy?? He was way off on EASY throws. It may limit his ceiling short of where we need it to be. You can justify his game any way you want, but I can't remember the last time I saw a great QB early in his career and said "good gawd".
  10. I'd rather see EJ light it up in a win even if it costs us draft position.
  11. Thanks. Again…forget about the accounting hit (cap)… The Bills owe SJ13 just over $5m for next year's salary. So they would save over $10M in actual cash (over 2 years) if they cut ties with Johnson. They are stuck with his cap number whether he's on the team or not. The question is does the current regime think he's worth $5m/ year. I think the next 3 games will give an idea of what direction their going in and my guess is….gone.
  12. No. My understanding is he was paid an 8.5M signing bonus and, over a 5 year contract, that is prorated from an accounting standpoint to 1.7 per year. But, what I don't know is something that was called an "option bonus" of $4M in 2013.
  13. Forget about cap hit. What do the Bills owe SJ13 in 2014? I can't tell if its $3.6 M or there's a $4M option bonus in there. I think it's very relevant to whether the Bills keep him. Does anyone know?
  14. All I was saying was that his article in support of signing SJ13 was a conflicted article and I didn't know if he wrote anything else on the matter. He may be referring to a completely different article. I dunno. Look. I get it. People don't like Jerry Sullivan. Like Bandit, then don't read him. Simple. But I guarantee he would "improve" as a writer if the Bills were 12-4. The problem is with the product…in this case, it's SJ13.
