  1. Unless they compete for the Super Bowl, the narrative is the same: like Lucy pulling the football at the last second. It's the focus on the Bills' losses that will get headlines, not the wins...not making the playoffs. So I truly don't care if they make the playoffs unless they have a reasonable chance of winning the whole f'ing thing.
  2. It's how many times you get up, my friend.
  3. Whatever I can do to support Buffalo's favorite adopted son.
  4. Best Ralph memory was the fans ripping down the goal posts and sending one up to his suite after Thee Miami game in 1980. Rest in peace, Mr. Wilson.
  5. It's prob a NO, but if you were to tell me he's the next Warren Sapp or even Sheldon Richardson, I don't know how you ignore it. Lately, I'm swayed by those arguing for a playmaker on offense and going with beef in 2 and 3.
  6. If the Bills were willing to throw money at Jairus Byrd, I wouldn't completely throw out the idea of drafting a Safety IF Whaley thinks he's special….like Earl Thomas, Troy Polumalu special. I'd rather they didn't, but there is logic to support it.
  7. Good work Bandit. I'm even more convinced they should go OT unless something weird happens like Watkins slipping through.
  8. Well, 48 sacks and 108 QB hits on 522 attempts isn't exactly stellar. It's not all on the QB either. That's at least QB pressure on nearly a third of all passing plays. Out of all of those stats, I found it astonishing that the Bills had over 520 rushing attempts.
  9. On a team with a suspect O-line and a defense that could not stop the run (castoff signings notwithstanding), I just don't get the logic of taking a guy who is going to be in on 6-10 plays per game……especially after you just gave a big contract to a WR and spent two 3s and a 2 on promising WRs. #9 is going to be an OT or my name ain't Nathan Arizona!
  10. At 9? Neither. I think O-Line is most likely the pick, but I wouldn't discount Cinton-Dix IF he is the playmaker that Byrd was. If they were willing to throw $7M at Byrd, I think the Bills would be open to drafting the right safety. I'd be shocked if the Bills took the WR.
  11. First of all…I LOVE THESE THREADS!! Thanks for bringing it. I watched half of that clip and I see 3 things: 1. He's got plenty of arm. He can zip it when he needs to. The reason he put so much air under the ball was his WRs were WIIIIDE open. That leads to the problems…. 2. He seemed to always have a clean pocket, which doesn't happen on Sundays…and 3. His WRs were so open it's hard to tell how accurate he is. All that being said, the last DII QB to come out and have a meaningful NFL career was Jon Kitna out of Cental Washington, I think. I guess you never know. But I fully expect the Bills to take a QB between rounds 4-7.
  12. There has to be a WR named Williams out there…. We don't do Jones in Bflo.
  13. a 6-10 team should not trade for an aging WR. Period.
  14. they were decent last year. In Buffalo, decent looks great. No 6-10 team gets the benefit of the doubt on either side of the ball.
  15. I'm over it. They lost with Byrd. I'm sure they can lose without him. Hey, there's an opportunity for someone to step in. Maybe they'll be better.
  16. The Saints are a joke (ask Seattle) and moves like this are desperate moves that will more likely bring them down than prop them up.
  17. I partially agree with you. Good teams figure out how to sign their players to reasonable contracts BEFORE they peak in value. By the time Levitre was a FA….by the time Byrd is a FA, it's too late. His cost is way more than his value. Either one.
  18. What a dumb deal for NO!. My guess is it's a 3 year deal for $28 M and the Saints will have buyers remorse in 2015. He'll be released in 2017. Today's free agent winners are tomorrows losers. wah…..
  19. Nope. The only way Belichick trades an assets is if he gets more than its worth. He only trades Mallett for a 3rd or better. If he was willing to trade Mallett within the division, I'd be worried at that.
