  1. I love that they went big in the draft. Forget the skill players if you can. The Bills are taking a stab at an identity that will feature their RBs and maybe mask any QB deficiencies. Makes a lot of sense to me.
  2. It's a free country. I don't care that he didn't avail himself of the opportunity and I don't judge him for it either. There are some days that I might not go meet the president, whomever he may be. Now Gilbert Perreault on the other hand…...
  3. Good teams get good calls. I seem to remember a WR getting mauled in the Houston comeback to Bflo's benefit and I'm sure Bills fans weren't bitching. Seattle was allowed to man handle WRs last year. When the Bills are good, the calls will even out.
  4. This pretty much sums it up for me. Whatever the division of power, Brandon has been around during some pretty lean years. So have Littman and Overdorf. If I'm the new owner and I'm looking for accomplishments in evaluating Sr. management, I'm not sure any of those 3 gentlemen have done enough in any role to justify trusting them with MY new investment. New owners will have their own people. Absent a staggering resume full of accomplishment, I expect RB to be reassigned, if not replaced.
  5. I can't blame someone for questioning the people who have presided over this team since 1999. I am just amazed that enthusiasm rides as high as it does without a winning season or 2 to prop us up.
  6. Forget all the sound and fury. Strip away the grand speeches and new commitments. Ignore his obvious passion for the area and his desire to build a winning franchise. Other than rebranding them as the "Regional Bills" and successfully marketing the hell out of a truly terrible product, he has done nothing to contribute to this being a successful franchise where it counts. That's his past. That's his resume. Whether he can make this translate into future success is anyone's guess, but if the new owner is concerned about winning AND he looks at Russ' resume, he's a goner.
  7. Reported on Sirius NFL just now. OOps!!!
  8. What I'll really miss is his clutch game sealing and game winning receptions.
  9. I think you're still in the position where playmakers are still out there. Even if you don't get your OT, there are guys like Tyson Clabo out there whom you can bring in for a year. If you heard any interview with Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, you would want him to be the pick. Sounds like he has a deep appreciation for what it takes to be a good professional and he has a pretty good skill set as well. Jace Amaro is a matchup nightmare. And knowing you have NO RBs under contract after this year, I don't know how you ignore Carlos Hyde. So my vote is to continue building the offense with yet another playmaker. Since Whaley was talking about giving EJ some weapons, I think ASJ will be the guy.
  10. Sure…Whaley may not even be here with new ownership n all. Makes sense.
  11. If SF wants to trade up, at least according to the Trade Value Chart, it would require their 1st and both of their 2nds, plus a little. If I'm late in the 1st, I'm thinking Bitonio, Juwan James or Rashid Hageman. Or better yet, then trade out of the 1st and have like 5 - 2nd round picks and an additional 1st next year.
  12. THAT'S WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!! WELL PLAYED!!
  13. This is the ultimate "I told you so" thread.
  14. +1000 There's no way Donald gets to or gets by the 9th pick.
  15. Your statement has a chance if you change your "or" to "and".
  16. +1. I can't put it any better than that. Did I see Anthony Carr above? Is he related to Derek Barr? Martin can play all 5 positions and played a ton of games for ND. Not a sexy pick, but pretty safe.
