  1. In! Didn't you see the Marrone/puppies thread yet? It was right after the Marrone/parfit thread merge.
  2. Wow, one year in and you know that! Impressive. Did you have RG3 and Kaepernick on the HOF as well? Time will tell.
  3. Nope. There are many a big turnaround stories with such changes.
  4. Some of those owners in Washington are also defacto GMs. The Shanny situation is an example of a dysfunctional system. I prefer a HC answering to the GM but with contact with the owner. Otherwise there's a automatic power struggle.
  5. Hackett HC and Wanny as DC. Dream team.
  6. What if Napoleon had B-1 bomber at Waterloo?
  7. Dadgummit, show me the baby pal, you don't know whatchure yakkin' about.
  8. Stupid thread.
  9. That's a bad omen. Automatic power struggle. Particularly with a guy like Shanahan. You got to be wary about him after that spectacular flame out in Washington.
  10. We have have a promising and talented young GM. It's his time for him to be the bottom line and have control of football decisions. His moves to date have been more good than bad. And we still need to see Sammy and EJ fully play out. I'd rather have DW make the coaching call than a committee with individual agendas. If this is TP's plan, I'm good with it.
  11. Felt good reading that.
  12. For a fraction of the $4 mil he stole, he could have sent singing telegrams or Sherrie's Berries.
  13. Wait, WGR is the bad guy? And Marrone was above reproach all along? Damn, they cost us a HOF coach with their little shows and opinions. Damn you GR!
  14. There once was Bills' coach from Cuse For whom analytics had little use When the season was done He made like it was 4th and 1 He punted and pocketed the loot
  15. Like coal mining, drilling for oil or nuclear waste? Unless you got your laptop and all your energy sucking devices hooked up to a windmill shut up and get off your high horse.
  16. Hiring Schwartz is hardly knee jerk. It makes considerable sense. But I understand the optics here. Right now we're looking like crap and the same old sad sack franchise. I really don't believe that's the case this time but this drama will make it more difficult in the short term to attract a top HC with so many other teams looking. Rightly or wrongly, people are going to see a starting quarterback, a head coach and a top respected consultant all decide to bail on Buffalo in a 48 hr period. TP's got his hands full.
  17. Great resource. Thanks. Looking at the data, I say let's stay the course and follow the Seahawk formula. Let's get a competitive O without diminishing this elite D.
  18. If Sully got under his skin tbat badly the NYC media will have him in the fetal position in a couple of months.
  19. OP makes good points on hiring coaches from teams with great qb's. But w-s serious is correct. Our D has the championship stuff now. Don't blow it up.
  20. I could live with it. He's tough, aggressive but not reckless and the players like him. The only caveat is no green or unproven OC's. He's not my first choice, but a solid OC and Schwartz looks good to me.
  21. Before he bails on another team in two years. Count your fingers after shaking hands with this guy.
  22. Sorry, having the right coaches that actually design plays for the talent they do have and not for the hypothetical of what "should" work is why Marrone failed this offense. Chan made a productive offense with less talent than DM and boy wonder Hackett did. Stupid decisions like not playing Urbik and putting Pears at guard cost us plenty. A 3 lame TE offense, bunch formations and wasting Sammy and CJ show these two were stubborn, clueless or both. Good riddance.
