I have no doubt that Saint Doug put the cuffs on Jr., but I also have no doubt that Nate has no idea about using the personnel he has available to their fullest. He draws up good plays but without regard to the talents of the players that he has.

Wrong. It a matter like this, style counts. Mass texting, trash talking,clandestine PR wars and slinking out of town with $4 mil in unearned dollers is not how a leader acts. It's how a selfish, untrustworthy egotist acts. In the end, he didn't do what's best for himself because he is exposed as a man with severe character issues and as someone you don't trust with coaching an NFL franchise. He pocketed $4 mil at the expense of his reputation. Like Mastershake, I'm done with trashing DM, but please no revisionist views of a good guy just doing what's best for himself.

Nice work OP and nice discussion. I am of the mindset that we end up doing what Marv Levy said, get better around the QB. TC in STL makes good points as well. It's stupid to give away the future in picks and trades for a marginal qb. I'd rather sign Sanchez and get some decent coaches in here. There is better talent on our O than we showed this season.

It's tricky. Find a HC that wants to keep the current DC and school EJ. After all thise interviews I wouldn't be surprised (or upset) if they went with Schwartz and hired a Trestman as OC.

He's young, durable and still improving. He's what every team wants, a pass rusher who's a complete player. 20 sacks in 17 games and 9th best against the run for LDEs. Don't di*k aound and sign him.
