  1. Frank would be great. While he is still earning his coaching strips he is a true student of the game. He knows the city and what the Bills mean to the community and clearly is a great link to the glory days.
  2. He will not need to hire a big name expensive coach. And we will not care. The next HC will be none other than Frank Reich who will lead the great comeback in NFL and Bills history..................twice
  3. A few thoughts: *The NFL wants one owner who is accountable versus and consortium *Rogers access to cash is very complex *Even if they have the cash, it still needs to be acceptable to the Wilson Trust and approved by the NFL owners *If approved by the Wilson Trust and the NFL, there will be a strong fight within Canada to not approve any relo due to the impact to the CFL and any money towards a stadium *This bid appears to be very risk for the trust and the NFL *So far the trust and the NFL have been huge proponents of keeping the team in Buffalo *TPegs is a much safer choice *Nothing eliminates rational more than money, any bid from Toronto has to create the WOW factor to be considered *As a Bills fan we know its not over until it’s over, but I see this as a smart ploy by MS to increase the cost of the franchise to any local bidder
  4. Sorry if this has been stated already but here is one fans impression of the current bidding process: **Pegula pre lobbied his over value bid to eliminate low bidders and to expedite the process **JBJ is bidding to gain value experience on for future bids. Assuming this is the case he will be a lot smarter next time and bid with local billionaires and not with a group from a competing geography JBJ Sucks—he is ANTI AMERICAN. May he rest in the swamps of Jersey
  5. The basic answer is yes, however associated with that answer is risk. If the highest bidder wants to relocate the team it has to go to NFL owners for approval.which creates risk. I would believe like any business transaction risk is associated with value. The NFL has made it clear that the buyer needs to be committed to WNY. So a local bidder is clearly the safer choice. Out of town suitor will clearly have huge hurdles to overcome if he/she wants to move the team.
  6. Your hired.....................great summary
  7. He has major challenges and needs to grow up. Lacks discipline, however whoever said you need to be a saint to star in the NFL. There are others who have done worse that have helped teams win championships. Wins first, values second. When its all done he will pay the price for his immature behavior.
  8. Move the Charges up Hwy 5 to San Clemente/Dana Point or Southern Orange County. Change the name to Southern California Chargers and be done with it. There is existing rapid transit for both fans, highways already built and an establish fan base for both cities. NFL gets an LA based team, Chargers get a new stadium and the NFL saves face by making a reasonable move 50 miles north versus the fallout of a major relocation from another city/market.
  9. He is a very smart football player, a proven vet to help a young secondary. I hate to see him leave
  10. I think this team is in much better shape than in recent past. He came in with a vision and appears to be following his plan. He is bold. He talked a lot about speed on offense and player personal changes support the vision. Coaching and QB are still a pretty big unknown. As Parcells use to say "you are only as good as your record" so we need one maybe two more seasons until we really know if he has what it takes to turn the team around. But we finally appear the have a plan and a sharp young mind at the head of this ship.
  11. If Sammy is covered.........................run away
  12. I watched him play against VT last year. The kid can play. Great ball skills and you know he is smart. One of the safest picks the Bills had this spring. I think he will be a solid player for us.
  13. They paid a very high price, but like all investments it will take time to determine if the reward is worth the risk. Brandon, Whaley and Marrone have basically put their careers in Buffalo on the line with this trade and pick. It is great to see the front office take some risk for a change. Sure beats "just cause free agency starts today don't mean I am getting up early"
  14. He served us well, but it was clearly time for him to move on. This is the best move for the Bills and Stevie. Glad we got a 4th, I had a vision of him being a training camp cut
  15. Getting over Grand Island will be a nightmare. It will only work if there is a major upgrade to the bridges and highways through the area.
  16. Seems like a great short term fit, but we really need a local owner deeply committed to the area. To ensure long term success we need a clear generational succession plan. If not we could be back in the same position in a few years Could be a great fit, but we need a local person with the next generation committed to WNY. I don't want to be in this position again in a few years from now
  17. I do a trip every year. 20 to 30 guys, none from Buffalo. Friday golf Niagara Fall Ont (Legends of the Niagara) dinner at the Keg (embassy suites) Casino and or Sundowner. the downer is highly recommended. Saturday afternoon Anchor Bar then Chippewa Street Saturday night. Tons of great bars. Allentown also works. Sunday leave early, and hit the stadium lots. If you can go to the Hammer Lot (Pinto Ron's tailgate)_. Ranked the best in the NFL. Where home or neutral colors for this TG Have fun, there is nothing like Buffalo. NOTHING
  18. If JBJ wants to buy an NFL team because he is a fan or its a great investment more power to him. He has earned that right. However if JBJ wants to buy a team, move it to another country ripping away the fabric of a hardworking American city and its people that to me is Anti American. If this little twerp continues down the Toronto path we should unite and tell the world what he is........A GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY ANTI AMERICAN
  19. NF, could not handle the traffic on either side of the boarder. It would only work with major investments to the bridges and highways which is not cost effective. In addition i don't it would be ideal to the majority of current season ticket holders from Buffalo , Rochester or Eastern PA. The lower bowl of the Ralph is as good as it gets, but major work needs to be done on the upper deck. A new downtown stadium would be ideal if renovation to The Ralph is to expensive.
  20. I left a message!! I read the article and almost told her to go to hell. But did not want to lower myself to her level. I grew up in Toronto but moved to the US a number of years ago. I cannot believe how pretentious my hometown has become over the past 20 years. So many people from Toronto look down on Buffalo, yet have never spent any time in the city. While Toronto may have world class amenities, it is clearly missing key behaviors to make it a world class class city.
  21. I met Ralph a few times. A true gentleman. Thank you Mr Wilson for bringing and keeping the NFL in Buffalo. Thank you for making me a die hard Bills fan.
  22. Agreed. Ralph use to have the old Baltimore Colts Marching Band come to Rich Stadium after the Colts split Baltimore and before the Browns moved there. Probably drove Irsay Sn to drink even more
  23. Like father. like son...................but Jim is a great owner. His father Robert was a real ass. If you ever get a chance watch the "The Band that Would not Die" Excellent film on the Colts leaving Baltimore.
  24. He should be the greatest Bill of all time to never dawn a jersey. His trade to the Browns became the Jim Kelly pick and the rest is history. Thank you Tom. Long time GM Terry Bledsoe get my vote along with Ronnie "it was a little over thrown" Harmon
