  1. The league has already stated that there would be no suspensions. I strongly disagree. I think a one game suspension for both of them would have been appropriate...Finnegan too. He egged him on. This slap on the knuckles by the league is sending the wrong message to kids.
  2. Unflippin real! Thanks for lookin' out for us come April Stevie...must have been hard to drop that!
  3. I'm on mouse knuckles & hog farts. My wife refuses to kiss me.
  4. What does a black dot on the forehead mean?
  5. As long as he continues to look like Buffalo West's Jewish Aunt, he'll be mocked from behind. Owners know this...therefore, he's doomed from ever being a HC again. But... with some plastic surgery, hair coloring, & stylish glasses, maybe Al Davis would pick him up.
  6. OK...we're supposed to talk on here like we're talking to someone much bigger than us...but I really don't talk to my mother-in-law.
  7. Before the Ravens game I said that the "Any Given Sunday" didn't apply to that game, & that if the Bills won I would drive my lawnmower cross country waving a Bills flag & wearing only Bills jockey shorts. I was sweating too while they were in OT. Nevertheless, I wanted them to win. I will never doubt this team again. I think we can beat the Steelers Sunday.
  8. Great response Tom...very insightful...still not buying.
  9. I HATE the Rooney Rule...for the reason stated! Sometimes while trying to right a wrong, another wrong is committed!
  10. Amen bro! You nailed it!
  11. This is quite offensive to me! Some of my best friends are purple.
  12. For those of you young guys that don't remember Mark Kelso's Kazoo helmet (called a pro cap), here's a link >> http://www.worldsstrangest.com/mental-floss/10-interesting-pieces-of-sports-headgear/
  13. Thanx T7...very informative! I hope there comes a time where the data reveals a certain style helmet is "the one" & the NFL mandates it. I know concussions are part of the game, as ST21 stated, but you would think technology could reduce their frequency & severity. I had one once...a horrible experience. My buddy just found this >>> http://www.riddell.com/#/Concussion_Reduction ... a must see if you're interested in this topic
  14. That's a great idea! A chick named Jen told me Brett Favre wears a raincoat to private interviews.
  15. I would venture to say, in lieu of all the concussion talk of late, that Goodell has a program underway. There's probably a bunch of genius's right now in labs working on this very problem. I am hoping anyway. There's got to be a better way to resolve this issue besides doling out ridiculous fines to agressive players. I guess the challenge is to make kazzoo helmets without them looking like kazzoo helmets. Thanks for that tidbit, but why then isn't the "revolution" style mandated? And thanks for the daisy tip...roses are so expensive.
  16. Sorry d2d..no pics. But picture TE (indented style)...then Fitzy...(more common rounded style). These are the two most common styles. Then there's the hybrid of the two (rare) - Eli Manning. Not gonna even get into face masks...many, many variations of those.
  17. Hey PTR...they're gonna send a message in a few days. I live in Steelers country & I've already warned my friends that the Bills are the ones their mother warned them about. Can anybody say...S P O I L E R S
  18. haha...I know, I know...it's a better off season topic...but who looks at helmets in the off season? Can you answer my question eball? I would really like to know why the helmet gurus just don't design the best concussion resistant helmets & make them mandatory. The fact that there's several styles suggests to me that they're still tinkering.
  19. OK…it’s Hump day…a good day for some helmet chat. There seems to be basically two styles of helmets. The most common is your basic rounded shape, but a relatively small percentage of helmets on most nfl teams are indented a little over halfway down. Can anybody explain this to me? Is one style better than the other in preventing concussions? If so, wouldn’t you think all helmets should be one way or the other? Anybody well versed on this topic that can educate me? Is it head shape that dictates this indented style? And while we’re on the subject, let’s pass out some helmet awards. Eli Manning gets the “alien helmet award” for the best alien-style helmet. His helmet is a hybrid of the two styles…a partial indentation. It’s so big at the top & tapers down, he looks like his head is alien shaped. I hope the mother ship doesn’t beam him up during a crucial playoff game. Ladanian Tomlinson gets the “cool helmet award” with his dark visor. He claims he doesn’t want tacklers to read his eyes, but I say it’s a cool thing. This dude wants to be so cool, he’ll sacrifice a few hundred yards a year to accomplish this. Surely this must hinder his vision somewhat. It’s hard to run in the dark. Sam Bradford gets the “stud helmet award”. This dude was made to wear a helmet. He should wear a helmet when he goes out to eat…maybe just take it off to sleep. Jay Cutler gets the “girly girl award” I used to sell hats. Hundreds of people have asked me, “How am I supposed to wear my hat, up or down?” I always answered the same way…”Girls wear their hats up, while guys wear their hats down.” Cutler loves to pull his helmet up at a 45-degree angle while he walks to the sideline. Whenever I see him do this, I would just love to see a cute boy wearing speedos hand him a dozen pink roses. But during the Bills glory years, Kelso would have to get the ultimate award…the “mega dork award”. I know the poor guy had his gray matter banged around a lot & had to do something major…but man-o-man! If the coach came up to me & said, “buddy, you gotta wear this helmet or retire”, I would hang up my cleats. But then again, I’m a tad vain. He had guts…I’ll give him that! Anybody else wanna dole out some helmet awards?
  20. Question: Will Brett Favre retire after this year? Answer: No, He can't afford to...he has a divorce to pay for
  21. Hey, 50% humilty is better than nothing. I think I would have hid out for a few weeks after that post. At least he had the guts to come back. But Old Timer...it wasn't all the Bungles bungling. Watch the Hi Lites & see if you can come back & up your humility level to where it needs to be... another 20 points or so. No, I didn't know the outcome, but I had a feeling they would have a respectible 2nd half. They exeeded my expectaions by a country mile.
  22. I was going to make this point...glad you made it. The question is: How much of the decline was due to his injury, & how much was due to other factors? It's difficult to break that ratio down accurately.
  23. Anybody that walks to the back of the restaurant everyday & lifts up lid of the dumpster & breaths in, must enjoy being nauseated.
  24. That's an amazing statement...one in which I completely concur. The last three games were very entertaining! We could easily have won them all & the talking heads would be calling us the "hot" team right now. We're so close ... we just need a couple more planets to line up. I haven't felt this in years.
  25. Hopefully, after game 16, it won't be a "hope". The goal is to know for sure. I am rooting for Fitz to prove to all of us in the next 8 weeks that he's our guy. If we're not convinced by then, I say we snag Luck if we can. When Ralph introduced Buddy Nix, he mentioned that a team needs luck. Perhaps he was unknowingly being prophetic?
