What's wrong with the Pats Defense? Plenty
dpberr replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They looked slow. They won't win track meets like last night. -
Your ONE prediction about this season
dpberr replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills and Patriots have identical records on the eve of their first match up this year. -
What would the Bills have to do against the Jets....
dpberr replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Killer instinct from the start. Bold plays and no punts at 4th and 1 inside Jets territory. -
FWIW, my uncle and family lives in Port Richey and they are headed to Pennsylvania for an impromptu vacation to see everybody. Rolling out today. Their house was destroyed by Andrew in 1992 and they lost everything (the contents of their house was spread over blocks) so they moved not only north but to the other coast of FL. In his non-expert opinion, Irma looks like Andrew but with a lot more power. It's extremely dangerous living in the post 72-96 hours of a hurricane-wrecked area and you're very exposed and they remember it.

The RInger Pre-season Power Rankings..... 31!!!!!
dpberr replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eh............I have two questions regarding the offense in relation to the Bills power ranking summary above. When Rick Dennison was hired, wasn't it lauded as being a positive for Tyrod Taylor's development? Why all of a sudden, based on some vanilla offense shown in preseason, that's no longer the case? Why is the deep ball threat so important all of a sudden given Dennison's expertise in the WCO? -
Bills failed to claim TE Oshaughnessy
dpberr replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Triple tight end sets! I'm actually intrigued if that'd work. That might be Key and Peele's greatest bit. They've been smart not to do more. It's perfect as it is. Cracks me up everytime. -
step off the curb. McDermot and the GM have us going good.
dpberr replied to Howard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm reserving judgement until after Game 3. It's at that point that teams have tape and can game plan. You'll see what this coach is made of at that point. -
September Movies: American Made, IT, & Kingsman
dpberr replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I always read these posts in MovieFone voice. I'll see Kingsman. I think people will see IT and ultimately be disappointed. Why? Nobody out traumatizes a Tim Curry Pennywise. -
National Anthem (Cameron Jefferson)
dpberr replied to bmur66's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not me. The man has the right to protest. He's doing it peacefully and he's not violating any NFL rule (as far as I know.) -
Dareus sent home for violating a team rule
dpberr replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd cut him and wouldn't look back. I've had this opinion since his last suspension. He's just a larger Josh Gordon. The inevitability is that he will get suspended indefinitely by the league and the Bills don't have to have that anchor around their necks. Let some other franchise take that risk. He's the kind of person that won't ever have enough chances to redeem your faith in him and I won't be surprised at all if the new leadership cuts the cord on Saturday. -
Hopes vs Expectations for tomorrow?
dpberr replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopes: Wenning throws for 400 yards, 5 TDs and fans lose their minds. Expectations: Less penalties and at least the appearance the coaches have their acts together. -
It's hilarious that Ducasse remains on this team. He's that terrible. He's literally VX nerve gas - just a little exposure of Ducasse in the game gets everyone killed. The only reasonable rationale for John Miller not starting Week #1 is a coach being blinded by hubris and ego, an obvious workplace hazard in the NFL.

My theory is that the number of vaccines, most of them live ones, our parents took made our immune systems sensitive right out of the womb. Then we go through life as kids and adults getting more vaccines on top of those. I think the cumulative effect of lifetime vaccination on the human body isn't studied as much as it should be.

I have food allergies as an adult that I did not have as a child. I now have a significant allergy to soy and peanut products which sucks because it's in nearly everything. Soybean and peanut oils are *the* worst. I chalk up my food allergy up to medication that I take that constantly toys with my immune system, especially the various immunoglobulins. I lost my hair due to it so it doesn't surprise me that as time goes on, it has made my body sensitive to soy and peanuts. There is no "eating through" a food allergy because the immune system treats the food as a foreign invader that must be defeated, and it wont' turn that function off no matter how much milk you drink, etc. You're just putting yourself in agony.

This guy will easily go for 400 yards, five touchdowns in this upcoming game. :-)

It will be very interesting to see if not evacuating Houston was the right call. I can see why they didn't - you would have likely had tens of thousands of people on highways in need of rescue. On the flip side, it seems like they should have started evacuations the moment this storm was modeled as a direct hit.

36 locks, 17 spots still up for grabs
dpberr replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the team will add wide receiver depth post cuts as there may be upgrades over Holmes available. Should that fail, they will trade for somebody. -
Dareus sent home for violating a team rule
dpberr replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He won't change. I know folks think that he'd cut out the shenanigans on another team, but he won't. -
Where do you think or D will rank this year and why
dpberr replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Top 10 and I think it'll be readily apparent in the first game. Team has players that have track record of excelling in this particular scheme. The team has done a much better job matching scheme to player this year than the last two years. I give credit to the Bills for going after football players not just really great athletes. DL is one of the better in the league in terms of talent. LBs and DBs will be better than advertised. -
ESPN's Robert Lee reportedly reassigned from UVA.....
dpberr replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He should sue, if true. Blatant, no doubt name discrimination. No different from "He's got a last name of Abraamowitz. He *must* be Jewish." or "Mykell, he's obvious a black man, right?" -
This will be a tough year for Bills fans and McDermott
dpberr replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this 2017 team will exceed expectations much to the chagrin of the tanking theorists and draft nerds, including our General Manager. You have a lot of guys - Alexander, Taylor, McDermott, Dareus, White, Hughes, Gaines, etc. who all have something to prove this year - and that desire provides a foundation for over-achievement. -
Blue Bills' Helmet: Thumbs Up or Down?
dpberr replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted no. The blue in the logo clashes with the blue on the helmet. The red stripe makes it look too Giantsy. A white stripe and facemask might improve it. It is absolutely astounding that the team will spend a lot of money on all these fancy uniform combos but be stubborn about giving the fans what they want - the 90s era uniforms and end zones. -
I'd argue that CB has actually improved. Gaines and White tackle players and are zone corners. Gilmore didn't like tackling at all and Darby couldn't play zone. You could say Gilmore/Darby are the more talented athletes but I offer that Gaines and White are the better football players.

Complete the tank, McBean. Do it.
dpberr replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Terry Pegula isn't going to pay for a tank season and the NFL isn't going to encourage or help a tank season. It's not coming.
