  1. yes it does sound familiar, from earlier in the thread : )
  2. Quick passes out to WRs, where there is off coverage at the line (which our guys see FREQUENTLY), and the WR takes a step back at the snap and the QB quickly throws to him, can work regardless of how many rushers they have...I should have been more specific in what I wish we ran more of to our best WR weapon, Sammy Watkins...something he shined in doing at Clemson that we havent ran once here with him then you should know very well how easy it is
  3. ive flown to NYC for a day before, and it was a snap....no check in bc no checked bags, security at Buffalo airport takes literally 15 minutes and thats if they are swamped...uber ride does take about an hour to manhattan...so thats two a half hours from buffalo to broadway (leave after practice your in DT manhattan by 5 oclock, even have time for a dinner and drinks before the show)...and sleep the whole way back to airport/buffalo...it is a snap bro, travel more! The world is your oyster!
  4. only an hour flight from NYC, leave after practice, back before bedtime, up for practice on Wednesday haha I cannot understand why we have not been using him in the slot a little for some quick throws in space...extension of the running game. Oh wait, we don't even use those quick throws or WR screens, even though we have arguably the best weapon(s) in the game for those situations
  5. I think the Raiders find early success going up and down the field, but our defense holds stout in the red zone and forces field goals instead of touchdowns (mostly)...we are also able to move the ball on the Raiders D (we quadruple team Mack)...its close until the fourth quarter but Carr makes a costly INT or two, and bills win 31-22
  6. Interesting take on the Bills offense....maybe if he said "opportunities for lots of 3 and outs if we stuff the run"...but turnovers? interesting indeed
  7. If your joking that's funny If your not, don't bother watching, like most episodes of the walking dead it was slow, boring and almost pointless
  8. We have been adjusting good in second halves - that did not happen against the jags though and that is scary...hopefully it was injuries?
  9. AMEN Yet another pro move by our solid GM - can't believe it only took a bag of footballs to get McCoy from the Iggles
  10. Which means we must feel confident in his ability to become a good TE, and we must feel good about our current roster makeup of the other 52 guys (ability and health) - just to play devils advocate to your negative Nancy And maybe we also think we can use him this season in spots, like yolo said above, in the red zone if for nothing else than to force D to account for his size
  11. Best post I've seen on here all year - thanks section One thing I cannot get past that the stats don't show: had Rex not decided to punt the preseason, I have to believe we would have won at least one of those games and be in a vastly different position right now (and no I'm not calling for his head just pointing out a huge, huge, huge blunder that is still affecting our season)
  12. Well it makes sense that his expertise is in finding guys already in the pros because he spent 10 years in Pittsburgh as their pro personnel guy in their front office, so that's kind of all he has ever done in the FO (with that said I'm more than happy with his drafts so far, unless he's never supposed to miss on a player- which all GMs do)
  13. they cant hire Herman, he kisses his players
  14. I don't agree with moving Glenn to RT but the "you don't pay LT money for someone to play RT" argument doesn't hold any water .... the suggestion is for the rest of this season only, and the money paid to Glenn is already a sunk cost so would have zero bearing on the position he plays The argument WOULD have bearing going into next year if we planned on playing Glenn at RT all year and investing more money on the LT spot...but that's not the case here. During a season if you have, say 20 million dollars invested across your front five, the actual spot they play is immaterial Just tired of hearing that argument, Glenn should and will stay at LT
  15. yea why not!? we are in the hunt, until were not of course we got smashed by NE, they are the best in the league...that doesnt mean there isnt still hope...so what if we are holding open tryouts for street people to play WR? One game at a time and you claw your way back in....unless your the best in the league and have a HOF at QB you are in a dog fight every week, with a shot at a W...add up enough W's and you just might sneak into the playoffs where anything can happen (as long as you dont play NE)
  16. Oh man beat me
  17. Drink more Utica club
  18. This one is up there - easily best WD ESP ever (not much competition though) Dexter season four (I think) episode with trinity killer/dexter/Rita takes the cake for me though easily
  19. must have been a Sully error
  20. You should read heavily into what Lynn said yesterday....IF Shady's injury is that serious, its smart to sit him so its not a year long issue like last year....BUT, he didn't say this injury was as bad as last years and that if Shady plays on it he is def. going to hurt it further. So while you are smart to read heavily into it, its not smart to automatically assume that IS indeed the case Big difference between a strained hamstring and an "ouch, did I just tweak something in my leg? I better sit out until Sunday and see how it feels because who really gives a **** about PRACTICE" (and then the media caught wind and everything went cray cray)
  21. I agree with you in principle, but much has been made recently of how well O'Leary is blocking in the run game, so we can probably afford to spread Clay out wide since O'Leary has made huge strides in his blocking
  22. WR screens to Reggie like WOAHH Then when they press him, go deep baby
  23. I'm pretty sure your both joking because you both know better....but just so the sheep dont buy into this, we can bring both Shaq and Watkins back since shaq was pre-season
  24. has anything changed in the past 24 hours though really? if we didnt live in the twitter world, most of this wouldnt even be blown out of proportion.. 24 hours ago we def. didnt have Sammy for this dolphins game....now, we still dont have Sammy...everyone else can still suit up and play on Sunday
  25. I see what your saying. I think the first game, regardless, for him will be "wow im back"...Id rather have him go through that against one of the worst teams in the NFL than against the best. If hes healthy and can contribute, get him in for 10-15 plays this week to knock the rust off/get rid of the wow factor
