Taylor 12th in Total QBR through week 14...
PaattMaann replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cannot imagine a situation, ever in football, where there is a coordinator change and that new coordinator uses some other guys offense EXCEPT for an in season change. Believe me, if Lynn is kept on as OC, he WILL change the offense to his offense. -

No I'm referring to sitting in the pocket and misses guys...its a routine joke in our season ticket section. No, none of us are offensive QB's or coordinators but we can see that there are guys open routinely and he does not see them. I see other QB's sit in the pocket and find open WR's...why can our guy not? And to your last point...I can easily see a situation where Rex is kept, Lynn is kept as OC and institutes his own offense and Tyrod is still their QB...why is that not an option? (obviously Lynn would still be run first, but he is currently using Romans playbook and designs...I'm sure he has his own that he would implement - which would tell us if Taylor is truly being held back by the evidence that Roman does not know how to create an aerial offense) -

I am off the tyrod bandwagon and have been for five weeks...BUT, this argument does hold water regardless of how people feel about TT. An offense that has never produced an aerial attack and we expect him to light it up in the air? Now...Polish Dave...how do you account for the fact that we have all seen WR's / TE's wide open on the field and TT not finding them? That cannot be a product of Roman's poor design, can it? Is the system designed to miss open players? I cannot see how that is possible. -

Report last night was Rudolph is returning to OK state (with a couple of the other "on the fence" guys) -

I prefer Mahomes I think over any other QB (sans Trubisky)...but I think we would have to take him in the first to ensure getting him and I don't see that happening. -

according to several scouts, according to Rotoworld, Trubisky wont even be on the board when the Jets pick - so I dont see how we would get him (unless we do a Julio Jones type trade) -
I know what they said to save face for being a bunch of cowards, but I watched them staring at the jumbo tron and watch replay after replay of the dirty ass hit...this team is SOFT
-
they did NOTHING in the game the dirty hit actually happened in - when it actually mattered and emotions SHOULD have been running high....and we expect some form of retaliation half a season later????? You guys are dreaming

We Should Pick Up the Option on Tyrod No Matter What
PaattMaann replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the thing though man - he, and a couple others, ACTUALLY believe that hoyer and or a rookie would be an upgrade automatically over Tyrod lol Nevermind Tyrod knows the offense, has running ability, is very very effective in the red zone, doesn't hurt his team with unnecessary turnovers, has the belief of the locker room - but yea, insert any QB and they are automatically better than Tyrod -

We have plenty of cap room to do all of those things with Tyrod as the QB instead of...lol...hoyer -

My point was that their stats are similar - even though some are saying wentz is a better QB - averaging less than 50 yards a game more than Tyrod yet having more than 10 more turnovers, no thanks Tyrod isn't a 6 year starter - he's got almost a year more experience but plays on a run heavy team You guys are too funny You guys here turn me into a Tyrod supporter when in reality I am down on him - just realistic about our other options -

People on here really hate Tyrod so much that they would want wentz???? I mean I am not high on Tyrod but wentz??? Wentz - 2600 yards, 63% completion percentage, 11 tds, 8 INTs, 9 fumbles, 83 rating and his team is 5-6 Taylor - 2100 yards, 62% completion percentage, 11tds, 4 INTs, 1 fumble, 88 rating and his team is 6-5 (and add 500 rushing yards) Yeaaaaaaaaaa....sign me up for wentz???? Lol -

I'm fine with being married to a highly paid back up for two seasons if we had a rookie come in and unseat him at a real team friendly price (which it would be) Sunk cost - we would still be paying the QB position a mid level salary (league wide), cool with me And drafting a QB in first or second round is also fine with me if they love one of those guys, but there have been plentyyyyyy of misses in first and second rounds so no point in even posting that list -

Wentz is booty man, he had a couple good games early this year and now the book is out, blitz him and he crumbles (just like college) and panics, throws INTs or throws right into the ground....no thanks at all I'd rather have EJ than wentz -

You throw names like dak, wentz, simien (even though I would only take dak over Tyrod out of that group) and it's easily countered with a list of the likes of Goff, JP losman, Manziel, Aaron Murray, EJ, Gene Smith, Matt Barkley The draft is a crap shoot - and again I am all for us drafting a QB, while still keeping Tyrod because it's SMART to have options and competition I get it, we all get it, you hate Tyrod because he throws for 150 yards a game - And ignore all the rest of his positive attirrubutes that have led to wins for our football team the past two seasons - just throwing in a rookie and hoping to capture lightening in a bottle is what we have been doing for years...you work in the bills FO previously? -

And THAT is a huge reason this team has not made the playoffs in 80 years (along with the patriot dynasty) Having no plan at the most important position in sports is stupid, throwing unprepared rookies into the fire is stupid, having no backup plan at the position is stupid - all of which the bills have been trying since Kelly....finally we have something at the position that is producing wins with his play (running, not creating turnovers, hitting big plays when he actually has WRs to throw to) and people just an to jettison him to KEEP DOING what has kept us unsuccessful as a football team for 17 years -
2016 NFL Man Games Lost Due to Injury
PaattMaann replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good idea - but even man games with their pff doesn't do it justice - how would you account for people who WOULD have had an impact (rookies/guys who were lost at the beginning of the year) -

2016 NFL Man Games Lost Due to Injury
PaattMaann replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This does not take into account WHO was injured...big difference between missing your #1 WR, #2 WR, #3 WR, #1RB for some, #1 defensive player, first two draft picks and some roster fodder/special teams players The only team off the top of my head that has had the quality players injured that we have and are still having some success is the Vikings, and they traded a number one pick for a QB to help fix their injury issues... -

PaattMaann replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Romo is 100, always injured and will be expensive, no thanks I'm all for taking a shot in the draft too - while keeping Tyrod. We have plenty of resources to keep him and draft/groom a QB. Let them compete...if you are so sure one of those rookies can beat out Tyrod then why are you so against keeping Tyrod and drafting one? The money??? Please And sure a rookie can get us 166 yards passing a game, but can he contribute in the running game? Can he be as effective as Tyrod in the red zone? Will he pass for 250 yards but also throw three INTs a game? There are things Tyrod does that you can't ignore (well, you and others do) that have helped this team win. Again, I do not think Tyrod is gods gift to QBs, I just realize he doesn't provide some benefits that fits our team and is currently the best option going forward -

in favor of what....its easy to throw stones, but whats your proposed solution? And just calling Tyrod "The 29th ranked QB" in your snide way does not tell the entire story of what he does/brings to the team So what is your solution at QB, draft and pray? overpay an aged, not very much of an upgrade vet? (And this comes from someone who is also critical of Tyrod) -
Anthony Lynn's First 72 Hours as Bills' OC
PaattMaann replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yea the Miami game plan was a very rookie coordinator move...trust the design of the team, and give your backup RB a chance (who is a damn good RB)...I certainly believe if we stayed with our run heavy approach we would have won that game, but...he IS a rookie coordinator, he seems to have learned from it because now he has called Gilly's number when he was our only option, and it was successful
