I really wanted Goodell to say Josh Rosen, instead he said Allen....I was very disapointed. I just dont see it. Watched him talk football with Kirk Cousins on some pre-draft thing, a three part series, each video about 5 minutes. Doesn't change my overall disappointment with the hail mary pick, but at least Allen comes from a pro style offense with pro style terminology and reads. That does not mean he is ready for the NFL, and will really need at least a full year to sit and learn and prepare. I hope we give him that time. While I don't like the pick over Rosen, or the fact that it feels like we got fleeced for both second rounders for just 5 spots (given what little AZ had to give up to go up 5 spots), but I am glad our FO had the conviction to identify their guy and then go up and get him. Now I will root with everything I have for the kid, and hope he can correct all of his many faults at the QB position and develop into what we have been missing since Kelly. There is my rational take on a disappointing pick. (LOVE the Edmunds pick!)

I think there is some validity to them maybe still being unsure and scared...BUT, I think it is just as likely that the FO knows, and has not shared that with leaky mouthed Hue Jackson and that is why we don't know.

They can afford to do that because they have, and have had, their franchise QB for a decade. So not really relevant. I do believe Beane is building this thing the right way and everything he has done has been for the goal of building this thing the right way. Gotta get the QB now

if every QB was taken before we pick at 12 (even if Allen is still on the board), I would take Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds and then BPA at 22 (or trade back if it is a really good deal, a high 2nd rounder, a 1st next year, or multiple picks). We need a play maker at #12 if we have to punt on the QB position

well you are wrong from the get go fella, so that will throw the rest of your mock off...Browns are taking QB at 1, have already said so, and everyone knows that is happening. Also calling Jackson a TT clone is laughable. 6 QBs in the first 11 picks??????????????

didn't read, but read your post....great that he has found peace and happiness but lets not pretend he was actually a good QB who walked away from the game to pursue other interests. He sucked at QB, glad hes moved on personally. Don't see how it is a correlation to Josh Rosen (again, without reading)

schedule is about the absolute worst possible scenario from a personal standpoint (have a wedding in Philly the night before the home opener, looks like a nice long overnight drive that night, green bay game means I have to skip a three day golf tourney i've been part of for years)....Woe is me aside, could be a tough schedule out of the gate, and 3 December games is complete trash. They cant build a downtown dome fast enough

but it doesn't matter what YOU think, it matters what our talent evaluators think... and in a year where there is only 1 or 2 good QBs, the cost to move up to take them will be sky high, in a year with many QBs (your words) the price comes down...simple supply and demand. And we have the capital NOW to do it without fore fitting an entire draft or future drafts...makes sooooo much sense to do it now

One solid game a difference making LB does not make Looked real good in that game, against Oregon...not exactly a super power, definitely their best competition in his time at Boise State so nice to see him play well against something slightly better than a high schooler. Could care less what a pundit has to say about one game from a player though, nice to see you riding Mayock's jock though, good to have idols. Already had several cups of coffee and am very calm, just want nothing to do with Vander Esch unless its in like the third round. Would hate to pass on blue chip prospects for a hope and a dream.
