  1. This defense is WAY too aggressive.
  2. As much as I want to believe, Tyrod Taylor is not a good NFL starting QB. He isn't improving and can't be in line for a big pay day next year.
  3. Well, color me flabbergasted. I gave the Bills no chance to win this game, no matter who played QB for the Pats. I don't know how well the Bills will finish the season, but I give them major credit for beating the Pats in NE with as many players missing as the Bills have. I acknowledge that Tyrod Taylor had his best game this year - all with a lot of injuries to the receiving Corp. Robert Woods and Clay stepped up big. I was also impressed (very much) with McCoy and Walter Powell.
  4. I cannot believe this team's bad luck with injuries. All teams have injuries (and suspensions), some to their stars, but Dareus, Watkins, Glenn, Clay, Lawson and Ragland - that is devastating. They are only lacking an injury to Gilmore and McCoy to wipe out ALL of their best players.
  5. It will take a miraculous effort from the defense and special teams. As currently configured without Watkins And with Clay hobbled, this is not a NFL offense. Barely 100 yards passing in two of three games wouldn't win in most college football conferences. I am rooting for Tyrod Taylor, but he is not playing like a NFL QB so far this year. I can't think of an opponent where the Bills would have an advantage at QB.
  6. Good thing Roman was fired - that drive looked great.
  7. That is the same feeling I have.
  8. Too many top players missing to compete. Think there will be a lot of booing at home today.
  9. If they think that there is any chance that Jones could develop into a good NFL QB, then they should not play him this year.- he isn't ready and that could destroy his confidence.
  10. This is about as perfect as it gets, lose to NE with a WR playing QB. They could have a drawing and some lucky fan could play QB and I think they'd still beat the Bills. Bright side is I can't see Rex surviving this coming embarrassment. I'm surprised that Bill O'Brien is still employed in Houston after getting stomped by a rookie 3rd stringer.
  11. Not blaming the coaching for this, but we have no idea when Dareus is coming out of rehab and what kind of shape he will be in when he does. He isn't a known workout fanatic and even if he is in shape he won't have practiced. Lawson: if he comes back this year, I would not expect much. He needs to strengthen his surgically repaired shoulder to NFL level and he hasn't been through training camp or any of the season. I would not judge him on anything that he does this year.
  12. I think it would be a long shot that Cardale Jones would be ready to star next year. Going into camp, Jones will still have only 10 collegiate games and 0 NFL games worth of starting experience. As a practical matter, I don't think a 3rd string QB gets much work in practice in the NFL other than with the scout team.
  13. Bradford looked more like a NFL QB last night than Tyrod Taylor has in his first 2 games this year. Maybe the Vikes weren't that dumb? Downer that it looks like Adrian Peterson hurt his knee last night...
  14. This is practically guaranteed to happen. Tyrod is likely not even as good as NE's latest rookie sensation. Realistically, there are 0 NFL starting QBs that anyone would trade for Taylor.
  15. That isn't going to help much - doesn't look like ther is a great QB prospect in this draft.
  16. There is still time this season for Tyrod Taylor to begin looking more like a NFL starting QB, but he his first two games have been anything but promising. The Bills are likely headed to 0-4 and targeting a high draft position. We need to hope that Taylor rights the ship because there does not appear to be a future good NFL QB in this year's draft. I don't like Chad Kelly much and DeSaun Watson has not looked good so far completing only just above 50% of his passes.
  17. I think Roman became Ryan's first scapegoat. He had to fire someone to rachet the heat down. I think much of the offense's problem is that Tyrod Taylor has been exposed as someone who has some definite strengths but also some significant weaknesses that, so far, he hasn't shown that he can overcome. I don't know that firing Roman helps this at all.
  18. I have to agree with this as well. Gilmore was certainly not aggressive tackling.
  19. The defense is missing too much talent at this time and they are trying to count on their DBs to make up for the losses in the front 7. Trying to cover weaknesses creates weaknesses elsewhere. Missing: Dareus - their best defender Shaquille Lawson - 1st round pick who was being counted on to help a lot Ragland - 2nd round pick counted on to play a big role Aaron Williams- is playing, but hasn't been his old self due to injuries. Any defense that is starting Worthy, Alexander and Spikes/Zach Brown is going to be in trouble.
  20. I agree. The biggest problem is that the franchise hasn't been able to find a great QB. Without a great QB, every other part of the team needs to be excellent and that is hard to do. A great QB can cover some weaknesses at other positions.
  21. He was the alternate to the 2nd or 3rd alternate. Not many players actually want to risk injury and PLAY in the Pro Bowl. Taylor exceeded our low expectations last year, but he did not have a legitimate Pro Bowl season by a long stretch
  22. I am not really suggesting that the Bills should make the same mistake with Taylor that they did with Manuel, just pointing out the disparity in how both fans and coaches appear to be treating the two.
  23. I agree completely. Bruce Smith was absolutely great!
